- This is the moment 50 explosive charges were detonated inside the mangled span of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in the Port of Baltimore. The controlled demolition will allow cleanup crews to move the damaged Dali container ship back to the dock. It was more than a month ago that the ship hit the bridge causing it to collapse - killing six people.

Well, the cement piece of the bridge was not targeted by this procedure. The goal was to take the steel portion off, and I think they succeeded very well. You can't take that cement portion off with that explosion without taking out the ship as well. That cement section has to be removed differently. Maybe they removed enough pressure on the bow that they can float the ship out of there.
Typical American media. Criticize... complain, complain, complain. That is why I haven't had a television in over 20 years. If you watch the video the piece in the water dropped almost 20 feet.

The removal of that bridge was always planned.
They do that in some demolitions. No warning horns or sirens. I think they just say there will be a warning. Then they just do it.
