You can definitely tell local news outlets vs out of town, by how they call the bridge by our local term…. The Key Bridge. Out of town news outlets call it by its whole name

Hi everyone at WJZ , now is when the "real work begins", removing the unbelievable amount of debris sitting underwater at the bottom of the river in and around the main channel, now is when they will have to deal with the "unseen". I am afraid the clean up operation may take more time than the estimated to be completed. We just have to be patient, that operation is far more complicated than what the general public think it is, by the way they at the unified command ought to be considered heroes by this time, I have extensive training in marine operations, I know what I am talking about. My most sincere condolences to the famlies of the victims. bst rgs

We need a rethink of the entire protection scheme for critical infrastructure; There have been too many bridge collisions from ships (and trucks) that have collapsed or compromised the structures. Fires under highway spans, corrosion and deterioration that has gone on for decades with politicians, agencies and companies deferring those repairs or even basic preventative maintenance activities like kicking the can down the road for future years.
Neglect of things that we have taken billions of dollars to build and where the entire success of our economy or made transportation safe and economical should be criminal. We as the people need to make it clear that such neglect is UNACCEPTABLE!

The stupidity amazes me. Moving the Dali will not make the bridge disappear. Removing the rest of the debris will take massive effort before the port is back in full operation. It's amazing how much damage can be caused by overloading one ship with "refers".

I can’t wait to see what this cost. These Contractors have been milking this project.

How are they milking this project? Can you offer any proof of fraud? Yes “milking” is fraud.

@@sbrunner69 Bridges are demolished all the time. Rarely do you see 5 expensive marine cranes parked on the site. There was no need to use explosives. That was just for a political event. It made the debris cleanup even worse.

@@jimnalgrin3515 And you don't see any distinction between a controlled removal of a bridge, and one where they are trying to free up a ship channel as fast as possible?
I guess you state your critizism out of some level of expertise in the area of quickly clearing sea lanes from collapsedm infrastructure? Or ... Well maybe not ...
