Bro thank God I finally found a video that. video that makes sense I have literally been scratching my head now for two weeks on how to figure this one out. I. recently purchased a 1983 XJ 550. but they tried to turn it into. well they successfully turned it into a hard tail. and with the Springer seat and this stupid. anyway I don't even know why I bought it It wasn't my style at all. Now I find myself wanting to convert it more to a cafe style such as the one that I saw in your video. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me if that is a stock Yamaha tank or aftermarket or where I might be able to pick one up at second hand. and was wondering if I could convert it back to a softail as originally was. But honestly again, thank you so much. I can now finally finish my wiring. since you should see this thing. This is the first bike I bought. i'll send u the b4 and after when i'm finished.hopefully a week from now.
How did everything flash for you with the bike running? I’ve done this exact method on my 1980 XJ650 and things blink 100% with just the key on, but when the bike is running they blink erratically... have moved my grounding point a few times and no luck... ua-cam.com/video/Cj7Cyr7gwUU/v-deo.html
that's a nice mess yamaha left for us inside the headlight isn't it. you have any images of the xj all put together, i like the way the rear hoop is done but i'd like to see a side shot of the bike with the seat and tank on.....

There is a new flasher Relay all you have to do is just plug it up no rewiring required Only thing is I'm a China you can find it on eBay

The display bulb is any 1157 bulb. I'm so late respond. Sorry for this...
The small indicator bulb is a bayonet Ba9s fitting 12v 3w.
You can find led replacements easily on amazon
1157 is a large bulb you'd find in older tail lights

ive got an xj 650 midnight maxim with a batwing, leather bags and trunk. Work in progress.
