You teach so well and make sign language perfectly natural. Thank you.
I appreciate these videos SO much!! I must be learning something here, as my deaf co-worker actually brought a hearing employee to me to help him understand what she was trying to tell him! She could finger spell, but that's it! It made me feel good , and more confident in my signing. Thank you!
I love seeing how these words get turned into sentences!
Thank you so much, I always watching your video's. I'm not a deaf but I really want to learn how to sign I almost 1 year learning sign language and your video's is so helpful.. Thank you so much, more power to your channel ma'am.
That’s a very great video, Meredith! I’m very sure that the signers want you to make more videos of action verbs. Hopefully that you will be making it more in the near future. Excellent work, Meredith! 😊
Absolutely!!
@@LearnHowtoSign 😊
Learning sign gives you a one up at work. Every now and then a deaf family comes into a restaurant or Spanish speaking natives. Learning ASL helps with one goal. Thanks Learn How to Sign! I learn the words properly and then on to Spanish! I have faith UA-cam will help me in that!
Thank you for your videos. I am a new ALS learner and I would love to see a video showing the difference between similar signs (like to live and to take a bath).
I absolutely LOVE your asl videos. Thank you so much for making these videos😊
You are so welcome!
These videos are very peasant to learn from. I wish there were more videos with verbs, like make, create, decide, try, taste, begin, leave, swim, swing, collect, pick, put, explore, hike, renovate, decorate.
learning asl for church thanks so much for these! you have a bigger impact then you realize
I work at Lowes and have discovered that there are quite a few deaf people coming in. I have been teaching myself sign language all my life but mostly from books which is not easy to follow. Thank you for helping to get me further in my signing. I have to remember to watch myself in a mirror though because I may be able to sign it but reading the signing is difficult
I have a lot of difficulty with sentence structure in ADL. Thanx for a great video.
Ditto, these are very helpful.
Thank you so much. I’m trying to learn this sign language to help my convo with my niece. Coming to visit soon
So appreciate all your videos and the fun new ones, thanks Meredith! Recommendation for new video would be a nature or camping video. Especially for those going to or working at summer camps!😎
Great suggestion!
The best asl teacher, thank!!
Thanks very useful 🙏
Awesome. Thanks
I really appreciate your method of teaching! Thank you!
You help me learn SO MUCH TY
Love your channel! I've been watching it for awhile. And by the way, your preview window for this video is the best preview window I've seen for an ASL video haha You're really ceative with your vidoes, video previews included!
Hi Meredith! Thank you so much for these videos. I've always wanted to learn ASL and this channel is such a big help to reach that goal. I'd like to be able to sign Marianne Williamson's "Our Greatest Fear" and do better with understanding reading someone else signing, especially fingerspelling. Your practice segments at the end of the videos really help.
Love your videos. Such a great help. Thank you.
I love your videos! Especially the sentences at the end-I can pause, try to sign the sentence and then see how close I got :)
Awesome, thank you so much!
Glad you like them!
Best ASL teacher ever! Thank you for these videos
this is the best video, this helped me so much with my deaf aunt❤
i started learning sign language yesterday and you've helped alot
I'm learning so much from your videos!
Wish I had someone to practice with though, aside from signing along with you of course.
Great video, Meredith. For your ME RUN FINISH, WATER NEED ME, I would have signed RUN I FINISH, WATER I-NEED. Is there a difference between the content of these sentences? I need help with sentence structure sometimes.
If I remember correctly, you open and close your sentence with Me/You and then the sentence structure goes Topic and then Comment. So your topic is running, and your comment to the topic is that you are finished running. Your next topic is water, and your comment on it is needing water. I hope I got that right
The I at the end is the use of the closing signal. Your examples are completely acceptable as well.
@@LearnHowtoSign Ok thank you for clarifying that, Meredith. I recently posted a question in your video about COLORS. It's in there.
@@scarlet2664best explanation of sentence structure I’ve seen yet! This helps a lot! Thank you!
Love the channel! I'm looking forward to seeing tests on 150 basic signs videos
Thank you for/ making these videos!
Glad you like them!
I love her sentences so much ❤
Great video, thanks

I love these videos a lot! me and my friend are learning asl and this channel has helped more than I could’ve imagined! it would be so cool if you could do galaxy signs, like sun, star, galaxy, etc!
i thought the same
I don't know what I need! More vocabulary and more sentence practice.
Yesssss I love this! Thank you!
You're so welcome!

This is seriously so fun lol

This is good I love it
Water need me 5:27 😂 but all jokes aside this video is profoundly helpful
Just saying the sign for clean is also nice.
It feels like sign language has a lot of the same signs (I noticed the “Y” sign is used a lot but for different things)
I've just started watching your videos and I find them amazing. I am a paramedic, do you have any medical videos?
I like this video the best, especially the sentences. I need work on my grammar. I still think in English 😕
I work retail (hobby lobby) I need descriptions and objects.
Why is it “you play finish” and not “finish play you” since your next sentence is “bath go you”and not “bath you go”?
A video on helping verbs would be great those are hard to look up.
Christian signs would be most appreciated! I would love to spread the Gospel in ASL!
These videos help Me alot my mom Is almost fully death and Me and her have been practicing.
I enjoy the videos, and while I understand that ASL doesn't sign word for word the way it's spoken, I have a real problem with it. I have taken classes over the years, and taught differently each time. I think I was taught something called Exact Signed English in order to teach students how to write a proper sentence. Does that make sense?
Your videos are amazingly helpful but it’s the reverse sentences that messes with my mind a little. I’ll keep learning, won’t stop.
Awesome video, I’m a new beginner, are you having any more classes any time soon, because I miss the one for June?❤️🙏🏽❤️❤️
We will have more info coming in August.

I'm looking for in the next video all about music signs. Such as Instruments, and More.
I think most are fingerspelled or acted out.
@@LearnHowtoSign I'm sorry i don't understand.
Where do I sign up for the newsletter?
Hi my name is Ainsley I'm ten and want to know how the word order in ASL sentences works like in what order to sign the words. Also thanks for these helpful videos!
Hi Ainsley! Thanks for learning ASL with us. We have made some videos about sentence structure. Go check our our playlists.
If your ambidextrous does it come off as a stutter? Or is it still understandable?
How do you correct yourself properly overtime, get in conversations with my cousin... I'm still learning... But he gets this goofy smile because when the conversation is long I forget and switch hands.
how would you sign "walk" as a noun?

Meredith, are you hearing?
And what's that in asl
I want pet sign video
What's the word And in ASL
And is not an ASL sign. You do what is called a shoulder shift to compare, contrast or separate what 2 things you are talking about.
ASL for a cashier please.... #seriorv
I am not doing this for any reason, just fun
Why is it “water need me” and not “water me need”?
The me at the end is the closing signal.
It’s not ASL! It’s definitely a ESL! It’s English Sign Language it’s had a verbs not ASL is because ASL using without a Verbs and ESL is with a Verbs , ma’am , I’m deaf myself and I had been raised in Deaf World which it mean I learn ASL whole of my life and my hearing family learned ESL so , now you get it ? 😊
Learn ASL from the deaf people or person 😊👍🏻
Plus learn ASL you use face expressions instead use the plain faces like a robot, it’s a key to communicate with deaf people or person, so far you’ve done great with ESL it’s awesome jobs but in ASL is a bit half great 👍🏻 but practices more , ma’am 😊
I’m just here to help out 😊👍🏻
First one here
Nope. 😁
Haha
Once again, congratulations
Why would you say ‘you play finish’ and not ‘you finish play’ ?
ASL is topic comment structure. The topic is play then commenting that the playing is finished.
