amazing interview! Rebecca is a beautiful person inside and out. I'm the same age as she was when she left the FLDS, and I can't even imagine having to basically start over in an unfamiliar and frightening world. She has built an amazing life for herself and I am so happy to see it. I hope she has a big celebration for her 20th anniversary of escape, she deserves it! Also, thank you to the interviewer for letting her speak without interrupting her and asking respectful and thought provoking questions. Fascinating discussion

Her books is amazing as is she - to be so clever and strong and to break away is incredible. She has done so much good. Ioved seeing the home video on the TC show and am glad her father kept it - it added to much to the series; and I like the way she tried to be reasonable about her parents who hold different views from hers.

I read her book and was amazed at what all she went through. I noticed how much she smiled during the interview. Anyone who can smile that much despite what they went through is an amazing person.

    • @deeanderson4164
      @deeanderson4164 Рік тому

She may be smiling because it was programmed in her by the FLDS cult to always "keep sweet". They drive that into the women and girls, so that they have no minds of their own, and so they have no feelings or demands. It's to keep the females under the thumb of a man, always.

I'm actually a little creeped out by it. It seems like a reflex, not genuine. Kudos to her for getting out.

Getting herself out of that horrific situation and also taking down the kingpin so others saw freedom as well is a huge deal. I’d have a perma-smile too. 💪

I’m about half way through your book right now. I admire Rebecca and her amazing sisters. Raised in a different religion, however I remember being scared of the end of the world everyday. Getting out of bed in the night to check on family members and making sure they were still there. The fear instilled in children was so real. ❤

Don´t know where to begin and end about how wise and beautiful and powerful her testimony is. She is really at peace with her past and so grateful even though people and things are still missing in her life. She is full of respect for others, there is no bitterness, just sadness about all their bad decisions and attitudes. Wow, I admire her so much for her growing and her strengh. She had the strengh to stand up for herself first and then stood up to protect others, she lives to give hope and give better lives to others. So she´s a true hero of our time. Thank you Lord Jesus for creating Rebecca Musser and guiding her through all the enslavement and suffering she had to endure. I hope she gets to know you for real.

Just on what Rebecca says about when her kids ask her questions and are surprised she doesn't know things. I'd say that's really good for them all when she asks them to explain the topic or what they've learned that day because not only is it giving Rebecca the knowledge or inspiring her to look into a topic, it's also helping the kids with studying, also probably very good for bonding

I became interested in FLDS after reading 19th Wife and have watched quite a few interviews. What I have observed is that some very fine , articulate people have come from polygamous situations. Perhaps living a sharing lifestyle removed from all the distractions of fast-paced life has some advantages for us socially. Best of luck to these brave women and men.

God did answer that innocent prayer-just in His own perfect time. You were needed to put an end to this awful cult and without your experience you could not have done it. So glad you have not lost your faith that God is there.

Rebecca you know this was God’s plan and that he brought you through all that you went through and I it weren’t for you and your strength, all those people wouldn’t be free and those men wouldn’t have gone to jail and it goes on. God bless you for all you’ve done

I'm amazed at the resilience of both Rebecca and her sister Elissa.
And I completely understand why the FLDS leadership was somewhat intimidated by the Wall family.
It was simply because they had the resilience to see thru the perverted, narcissistic selfish ways of Warren Jeffs and his group of minions.
I hope and pray for the very best in life for both Rebecca and Elissa. And I hope that they truly realize how many individuals they've helped in their journey to see the truth.
God Bless you! I sincerely hope more FLDS people will see you as an inspiration, and realize what a complete and utter scumbag Warren Jeffs really is!
I hope November 3, 2022 is an awesome day for you. You certainly deserve it !!!

I’d like to add that until light has been brought to this with the Jeff’s trial and news reports, I had no idea. I remember thinking it was just a religion one was born into like the Amish communities. The only other thing I thought was it was like Sister Wives. It’s so great that this was brought to light. And on behalf of those not raised in this cult, I can only say it is shocking that this was going on in the modern world and my heart goes out to all of those raised this way. Sending love and prayers for healing ❤❤❤

You ARE the angel that God sent my dear lady!!! 😇 You saved yourself!!! I am sure that God helped you to have the strength to fight this corrupt cult system. How few were able to accomplish this back then? Now you have become that angel for many other people through all of your work and testifying! Your prayers were indeed answered, just not in the way and shape that you thought! God bless you for standing up for freedom; for being so amazingly strong, and being a warrioress!!! ❤

But God needed you to be the angel to free so many girls/women. God's plan is always a higher plan than ours. As a woman, wife, mother, grmother etc I am only just hearing about this lady and the flds snd would like to day THANKYOU. And I will pray for her Salvation, that she will meet Jesus Christ to confess her sin & receive His forgiveness,& to live with Christ as her own personal Saviour and Lord, and be Born Again of the Holy Spirit. So that she shall have eternal now & forever. Jesus died for her as He did for every individual. He and HE alone can set us free.

When she said, " I have to respect their choices", I have to loudly disagree.
I DON'T have too respect another person's choices when those choices are harmful to others.
All those young girls who had their lives destroyed by a bunch of old pedophiles...
that's not a religion. It's a SICK AND TWISTED CULT.
