I gotta say the sound in this game, from the ambient ones, to spell casts or crafting, to gathering/mining/logging, and finally the soundtrack; are unrivaled. Best sound engineering in any game i've ever played.
You had to have been there on launch day. New adventures, new people, new systems, new crafting experiences. This game will always have a nostalgia trip for me.
Absolutely Spruce :) The start of a new MMO World is always something special - New World is also so peaceful and charming as a world =) I really hope it grows back over time and becomes one of the really big players on the market :)

If they had incorporated more roleplay systems and mechanics, such as body gestures while speaking, more emotes, and being able to sit down in chairs in the towns, I would have continued playing in this beautiful world.
Everything that you said is not really important. What I think is more important is getting immersive economy and farming, more systems to push open world pvp, more immersive events in open world, more vendors similar to faction vendors with unique lore and side quests that get updated regulary so it fits ongoing story. Systems like these have much bigger impact on how you play game then having emotes while speaking. MMO designers need to understand that having immersive casual experience is much more significant for genre then having competitive systems, what is the best is having good balance between these 2 systems. This can be achievent through pve events and open world events. For example having orbs in order to unlock dungeon is immersive system that pushes players to farm and be in open world while having an impact on competitive gameplay + impact on economy. Designers were stupid to remove almost everything that was immersive and well thought, because of convenience. Players that complain are usually the ones that are soft + full of themselves + ignorant, this is why devs need to think for themselves. They need to understand these complaining types of people in order to make good design change.
Fucking hell... I knew the sound track of New World was too good to be from someone random... Ramin Djawadi is the god damn Beethoven of our time... unbelievable, anything you think the soundtrack is remarkably good, its by him...

if you press you back/camera against a wall, it can cut out your character. combine this with crouching and laying down and you can do it against even low inclines almost anywhere

Homeward Bound is my favorite track on here. Oftentimes I’ll hang out in Everfall just to hear it.

Yes, he's great. Game of Thrones. Warcraft Movie. Etc. But I felt like the music on this particular soundtrack was a bit minimalistic for him.

Just started to play again recently, even tho not too happy with some weapon changes for the musket. It still has just a really great atmosphere.
The music from this game was made by the same people who did the Game Of Thrones Serie Music, i think that explains why it is so AMAZING
