BMW 325i e46 Rear Speaker Replacement

My channel is all about helping people with projects. Today we are replacing my 18 year old speakers that survived the snow of Utah and North Dakota and the blistering Florida sun. This video will show you how to replace the rear speakers on the 325i e46 but can be applicable to several models. The replacement is65.13-8 368 A107 direct replacement. Can I use aftemarket speackers? If so im trying to look for a better bass in the back cause the ones i have now have a real bad blown out sound

I have to admit that the factory speakers sound good but could use more bass. I am not sure about sizing or any other features thst would prevent you from upgrading. If you are going to use non-BMW speakers, you will have e to clip and recycle the plug from the speakers you are replacing.in the video I show the plug.

Yellow is plus and brown is minis ?

When I set out to swap my speakers that were well past their prime, I was left with the choice to solder and or modify the plug or reuse the old one or to buy the same speakers with the plug where you can't go wrong. Just from my electronics background I would bet that brown is the negative but not 100% sure.
