I bought a 24v Growatt for a future van build too. Just finished assembling all the solar parts and it works! I’m using Maker Pipe connectors to build a freestanding metal stand for the Growatt which will sit over my 24v 200ah batteries. Looking forward to seeing how you install everything!
That sounds awesome Keezer. I also have the 24 volt Growatt 3000 that I plan on installing in my van. Man, but I will tell you with all 8 cells in this battery box, it is really heavy. Thank you so much for watching and for your support. Please consider subscribing if you found the content useful. Thank you and I would love to see your setup when you get it all setup. Exciting stuff. Take care.
@@thinkfreelivefree6951 yes, a lot of metal in those heavy batteries! Mine weighs 60 lbs. I might add caster wheels to the base of my stand or at least a basic furniture dolly to move it around. Yes, I subscribed!
How have the cutting boards been working for in between the batteries? I would be a little concerned that the textured side would cause more wear and tear of the cell walls.
Hi Ross. Thank you for watching and for your support. The cutting boards have been doing very well. They are kind of like a soft plastic almost like rubber, so they have been working very well and the lifepo4 cells have a blue type of plastic around them that also protects the cells, so it was just an extra measure because it is in a moving vehicle, but everything is holding up very nicely. Thank you so much.
Nice box, is it a hardwood plywood that you've used? how's it holding up? What about the airflow with the fan, is that doing it's job? I'm gonna build one off of your concept and add a heater for the cold new England winters. Thanks for posting.
Hi Charles, thank you for watching and for your support. I installed 2x2 on the bottom and blocks on the top so that it is a really tight fit. Hope that helps. Please consider subscribing if you found the content useful. Thank you.
Hi Rich. Thank you for watching and for your support. So your 2 side pieces are gonna be 25.5 inches length, height is 10.25 inches. Your end side pieces are height 10.25 inches and the length is 9.5 inches. The bottom piece is 8 inches by 25.5 inches. Bottom piece fits on the inside of the box. Hope this helps. Those batteries are perfectly fitted in that wooden box looking neat and by the way why don't you add that CPU fan inside the box instead of outside? Oh wait there is not enough space I think okk 😁👍
Thank you my friend. Thank you for watching. Yeah, there was just not enough space. 😂 You will see when I mount it in my Van on the wheel well, I have very limited space. Take care.

The way you describe your layouts is perfect. Thanks for the info/help.

It may be worth investigating I’ve heard the batteries compressed together last longer !

I dont think ur bms should ever be that close to ur batteries as they get hot when in used just a note.
