Finally, somebody using a DIY battery pack, I was trying to figure out if this would work with a DIY battery bank.

310ah battery with 100ah bms??

27.6V is the float voltage and not enough to fully charge the batteries! The charger should be set to an absolute minimum of 28V and maximum (recommend) 29.2V

3 years later: all the Growatts people have installed I have replaced with Victron. Growatts turned out to be total junk.

One Question and Info for you. I am very experienced with Growatt,, US2 should only used if you Do Not Have BMS communications.. if you have BMS capable Litho Batteries that have the BMS boards , then you should Allow Growatt and BMS Litho Batteries work together.. If using US2 should then adjust using the 20%/80% ratios When using US2 you have to be careful as to the Rate of Charge. as this can over time shorten your Litho bat life. for that matter any type of battery.. Be Safe

Thank you so much for making this video and all the others! You are extremely helpful to many of us. I didn't realize this was a problem until I saw your video. I have since done a lot of research. Some people install a continuous duty external relay to make the switch automatic, but it's more complicated. If you want more info on that, I'm happy to pass it along to you. I have one question. Do you know if I can use a simpler, smaller type of switch instead of a light switch? I'm in a minivan with limited space (but hopefully someday I'll be in a larger van like yours). I thought, maybe I could use a toggle switch, but they are supposed to have 2 black or red hot/line wires connected to it, breaking one "line" of energy. Could I run ground into 1 side of the toggle and neutral into the other side? Another idea is a Blue Sea type of battery switch. You've probably seen them --- they're solid red or black and about 2" square. Best wishes, and thank you!

interested in doing this on a boat, for the starter bank to charge a 24V trolling motor bank. On these systems the negatives are not on the same ground bus bar. That is the negative for the trolling motor is not on the same bus bar as the starter battery negative. Is this a problem?

This may be a little late, however I was having problems getting my Lifep04 batteries to charge until I watched this video. I changed setting #5 to be USE and then changed a couple settings to be 29.0 volts and they have now charged to 28.9 volts.

My settings on setting19 and 20 does not want to change from 23v, any advise?

You should really take the video down... you have a white cable on the positive and a black cable on the negative. Positive needs to be red. Or at least put a red heat shrink insulation or label accordingly. It is sad that a person like you is putting a video like this to confuse people, or worse yet, put them in danger.

Should always stick with black for hot and white for neutral on AC power and black for negative and red for positive on DC always use green for chassis or earth ground. It saves a lot of confusion you could use white for both neutral AC and negative DC and black for hot AC and Red for positive on DC to eliminate all confusion and no confusing ac and dc power. When you you ate dealing with AC residential you are dealing with black and red for hots with 220 power and white neutral and bare copper or green for ground.

I have a ready Made Battery 24 volt 200ah and the bms wires are on the minus terminals of the battery's the wires are white apart from one being red going to to the positive and the other is black going to the minus why is this? when the above are on the positive there 8 cels and 50 watt each. can any body tell me why? as i need to change my bms and it is broken. bms not the same as the above.

The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

thanks for info, question, the cable coming for the inverter to the box have to be 10/3 gauge? am wandering is that the reason why doesnt work my 120 v sistem, {right now I installed a 12/3 gauge coming for the inverter to the panel, connecting with the main brakers.

Great video and thanks for showing your stuff. I do a lot of electrical work and I'm wondering if maybe that long of a wire run might should be a lot larger Guage wire. I'm sure it's safe they way you did it but there would be much less losses with a much larger wire
