  • Today I walk you through the steps of cleaning your Yard Mastery sprayer, dealing with the leftover rinsate, and then winterizing it for winter storage.

The key is at the end, you hang it upside down and let the water drain out of all the lines and pump. If you can store it inside somewhere, that is best. If not, in the garage is fine but for sure make sure you get all the water out of it before freezing temps hit.

Thanks for your channel and videos. Liquid dribbles out of the tip when the pump is turned on. I have tried different tips and seals. What do you recommend?

are you saying that just whenever you turn it on, liquid dribbles from the tip when the trigger isn't actuated? If so it's something in the handle itself - put in a ticket here and Scott will help you out yardmastery.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Excellent video. Is it best practice to put my leftover NExt products in the basement to avoid the cold garage over the winter?

Most, if not all, of N-Ext's product labels state you should "store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight."

it's best to not let them freeze. If they do, in the coming season, you may have to add some water and shake them really good. But if you can store them inside that is a best practice and recommended.

Hi Alen. I just re-sodded a 30sqf area of Floratam in my backyard. I was told that the sod already comes fertilized from the farm. Since we are going into winter, should I put some fertilizer down in that area after a month or so? Location St. Pete. Thank you

If you applied some starter fert it wouldn't hurt but I do highly recommend some sea kelp - an application of RGS (root growth stimulant) would be a very good idea yardmastery.com/collections/greene-county-fertilizer/products/rgs-root-growth-liquid-biostimulant

you don't have to apply fert - but I would recommend sea kelp to assist with rooting. This is what I use thelawncarenut.com/collections/n-ext/products/rgs-root-growth-liquid-biostimulant#

I am glad you mentioned about not putting the hose nozzle down into the spray tank when filling it up. So many guys on UA-cam do that and it drives me crazy. 👍🏻💚🦸
