Just started watching the first few minutes, and what she says about hydration is so true!! Speaking as a 36 year old woman 😄 since puberty i've ALWAYS had super oily skin, which has actually been one of my pet peeves. Plus,i live in a tropical coastal island country and the constant humidity makes things worse. So i have always steered clear of any creamy moisturizers and used light, water-based lotions instead. However, since i turned 35, i noticed a slight but significant change in my skin - suddenly i was no longer an oil slick and my skin, while definitely not dry, needed something more hydrating. I have since switched to a lightweight but creamy moisturizer which makes my skin look bouncier and plumper overall. I have added a vitamin C + niacinamide serum at night, which nicely balances out any excess oiliness too. And finally i seal everything in with a good quality aloe vera gel which is lightweight and easily absorbed but still provides lots of hydration!

Hi Shereene, the Nivea Q10 ad always pop up on UA-cam. It says it is good for fine lines and wrinkles. Would you be interested in doing a deep dive in Q10? Ps. Your skin looks amazing!
sorry, but 40's it's a little too early for menopause. My sis is 44 and she's pregnant. all the women of my family goes to menopause in their mid 50. Above this all your suggestions are amazing! I'm in my mid 20 , but prevent it's really important and I begun my skincare since I was 12 expecially with sunscreen and good skincare. I've never had acne or any problem unless dry skin in all my body and face too. I use a lots of moistures, oil, retinol and a good doble cleansing that change my skin in better so much. I hope I'll arrive at my 40's in a good skin situation. sunscreen is always our BFF!! thanks doc for your video, I'll pass to my sis.
I'm 42 and in perimenopause so no for some women out here it's not too early because perimenopause can be up to 10 years before menopause and yes I was taught by my mum in my early teens 13 how to cleanse tone moisturise and use sunscreen and have been an avid connoisseur throughout my life in skincare I also have not had long term medications either and now I experience slight more sensitivity after my at home TCA peels and love these kinds of videos because knowledge is power and its good to pick up tips. 😊😊

@@s.7948 for sure this type of video are very useful. I love the doc video., but above this I don't take everything she say like pure gold. I'm questioning sometimes, and I think it's normal.
You are correct. 😊. A growing body of evidence suggests that genetics play an important role in determining menopausal age. However, certain environmental and lifestyle factors, as well as cancer treatment, can also affect the onset of menopause. Most women reach menopause between the ages of 45 and 55. In the US, the average age to reach menopause is 51 to 52. Menopause can happen naturally at the expected age or early. Menopause before the age of 45 is called ‘early menopause’. If menopause happens before the age of 40 it’s called ‘premature menopause’. The timing of menopause is affected by several factors, including genetics, smoking, and reproductive history. There is considerable variability around the onset of menopause with 5% of women undergoing menopause after age 55 and another 5% between the ages of 40-45. Up to 12% of women have their final period before they are 45 years of age. My good friend had an ovarian cancer scare in her early 30s she was cancer free but diagnosed with early onset menopause.
It does smell good and I love the feel of the texture of it! I was given a GWP from a friend and it was part of it. Super concentrated too. I wish Lancôme was cruelty-free. 😢 I don’t use them for this reason but I sure would for this cleanser!

I’ve really helped my hubby with his eczema issues thanks to content like yours, but my baby’s eczema is kicking my butt. I’d love to learn more from experts on how to care well for baby’s skin.
Thank for your videos , however can you also talk what helps the skin to look at it best from the inside as supplements ( antioxidants, b3, hormonal balance for melanin….)along with the skin care routine . As I believe a combination of both should definitely deliver better results .Thanks
I would love love love to hear about what increases collagen production. I would really love to hear about what actives - even just singular ingredients like the most important amino acids or matrixyl 3000 stuff - that do the job so I can incorporate them. Copper peptides are my current confusion 😂😭
Also, I'd love to see sunscreens without essential oils, fragrance and hydrating for skin even in summer. Dewy skin is my jam now that I an in 30s and don't have oily skin. I am a minimalist now and tinted ones are good to. Of course more bang for the buck to. I hate 1.7floz skincare lol, UNLESS it's an active.
Re: favorite sunscreens, I love the Altruist SPF 50 sunscreen and face fluid. I have them shipped from an online retailer in the UK to the US. Overall price is cheaper than a lot of sunscreens available locally, and I love the ingredients.
Hi shereene , amazing to see all your thoughts and recommendations on all the products . Loved ❤the vlog and can’t wait to see what sunscreens you talk about , and recommend to anyone xx
Thank you for this one. Talking about sunscreens, it sounds like you will be doing another video on those soon. I wanted to tell you that while I have a photosensitive allergic reaction to the chemical spf filters currently available in the U.S., I have been trying 4 of the Korean sunscreens you recommended in a previous video. I have done several patch tests and I think I can say with confidence that I am not allergic to any of them! It makes me wish I could find out which chemical spf filters I'm allergic to in the U.S. but they are usually always used in combination so I can't seem to narrow it down. The Korean sunscreens I have tried and can wear: Beauty of Joseon, Purito Daily Go To SFP 50, Purito Daily Soft Touch, and the Klairs sunscreen. These 4 contain a total of 6 different chemical spf filters that I'm not allergic to, so what other ones can I wear is my big question, but I may never be able to narrow it down. Thank you for all you do and the information you provide! My skin is so much better due to you.
Turned 40 in April, I’ve been using 0.025 tretinoin since about 37, but I’m from the Caribbean and seriously burnt my skin in the sun in my 20s. I’ve been taking hydrolyzed collagen which, even if it doesn’t help my skin it at least helps my nails lol. I also have been using peptides and got an led face mask for red light treatments. My moisturizer is often just grape seed oil because I have dry dehydrated skin but I’m also trying Ole Henriksens peptide moisturizer. I may also increase the tret to 0.05 but will ease into it at first. Also use the 10% lactic acid from the ordinary once a week. Also for a basic moisturizer I really like Curel’s deep moisturizing face cream and their toners/essences, I used them while in Beijing where it’s so dry, but that really helped.

I wish you would in addition to skin type such as dry, oily, normal and sensitive also addressed aging! Some are older than 40, and would benefit from your advice, assuming its tried and true as well as relevant and reliable. For example, when we age our skin gets drier, especially in the winter months. I know you are anti HA, but hydration is key ingredient to the dry aging skin, what are the alternatives. Please try to incorporate these issues into your routine.

I’d love for you to address ingredients commonly used in skincare that are hormone disrupters and which products, if any do not have them. Thank you!
There are no hormone disruptors in skincare, that's just fearmongering that "clean" beauty pedals based on misrepresenting and cherry picking science.
Please come to Greece to try Greek skincare. You ll have a vacation as well. It’s a win win 🇬🇷❤️
I would love to hear your recommendations!
I’d love to hear Greek product recommendations too! 😊
I’ve used Korres before, I really liked their products.
Good Morning Dr.Idriss
Karla, 61 ( 62 in a month) would you consider doing a deep dive video/tutorial in how to Tx. Dehydrated under eye skin? Iam so dehydrated, yet not as bad as it was 1yr. Ago. But what a battle. Also dehydrated skin on side of mouth. HELP!
I use Dr. Dennis Gross retinol under eye gel serum and wow! Really got rid of Milia and fine lines and wrinkles, but can only use 3-4 times /wk. also use Tatcha eye cream. Loving it. Also a big fan of essences. And Pat it under my eyes as well. Thank you so much for such great content.
I stumbled upon your channel accidentally and I am super happy for that. Have been following your videos rigorously ever since. Thank you so much for detailed videos, educating us❤
More love and power to you 🫰🏻

You are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I'm sad I only found you now but so so happy to be learning so much with you! ❤ Thank you
Sunscreen: love the Cerave with SPF50 at the moment. Doesn't feel like sunscreen 😊
I just love your personality and easy way you explain the products. Thank you ❤
Hi Shereene, the Nivea Q10 ad always pop up on UA-cam. It says it is good for fine lines and wrinkles. Would you be interested in doing a deep dive in Q10?
Ps. Your skin looks amazing!
Many thanks and wish you a lovely Mother’s Day tomorrow 🥰
Amazing video!! You knocked it out of the park! Can’t wait for the sunscreen video!!
Dr Shereene I admire you very much! Thank you for sharing your knowledge ❤
Can you do hair care? shampoos, hair masks, etc.
Just tell me what to buy, no need to explain, that’s how much I trust you. Amazing content as always.
sorry, but 40's it's a little too early for menopause.
You realize that everyone is different, right? Most women go perimenopause in their 40s, whether 41, 45 or 49. That’s the point…
@@orozcoaj69 yes, of course, sometimes happen even in their 30's, but there's a rare case and a problem. Of course everyone is different and the family's genetics take a big role, but in my opinion of a woman of 23 y.o, a woman in her 40's is still young, especially now a days. of course the skin declines, but this happen since the first day you've born, and much more after your 25y.o. I knew woman in their 40's with amazing plumping and beautiful skin, maybe it's only luck, but I think that all this message is a. little too much.
@@s.7948 for sure this type of video are very useful. I don't say that is waste of time, I'm pointing on some things that from my point of view are a little bit amplified. that's all, but it's only my opinion.
My favorite wonderful creamy cleanser which smells amazing is Lancome Galete confort cleansing milk👍
It does smell good and I love the feel of the texture of it! I was given a GWP from a friend and it was part of it. Super concentrated too. I wish Lancôme was cruelty-free. 😢 I don’t use them for this reason but I sure would for this cleanser!
For me, retinaldehyde is easier to tolerate than a retinoid. Would LOVE to hear about your favorite retinaldehydes!
Skin Rocks are Retinals
geek and gorgeous retinal
Love love love all the info!! For next week- include sunscreen for dry AF environments…ie Phoenix AZ. Please please please. I don’t need to look like a glowy disco ball. I want mattifying- I know, I’m in the minority with that trend lol
I live in Tx, and the only sunscreen that has been mattifying for me has been the Tatcha sunscreen primer spf 35
Absolutely love watching your videos. They are really informative and helpful. Can you please recommend some good, affordable Indian brands too. Thankyou so much
U do meditation?
Big fan here! Love your content and your personality is chef’s kiss, as you like to say. 🙃 Could you maybe do a Baby Skincare video sometime? I’ve really helped my hubby with his eczema issues thanks to content like yours, but my baby’s eczema is kicking my butt. I’d love to learn more from experts on how to care well for baby’s skin.
I’m taking care of my skin in 40s right now in my 30s. Gold Bond Retinol overnight body lotion. 👌🏽
Would love to know what you think of La Roche Posay's ANTHELIOS AGE CORRECT spf 50 as a daily sunscreen rather than the classic anthelios liquid 🙏🏻
Das Rosskastanie-Weinlaub-Gel von Bio Allgäu kühlt angenehm und tut meinen Beinen gut.
Thank you dr shereen idriss, vdo was as lovely as you look in the green dress. Hope it serves the purpose and people will get the benefit from it.
Thank you so much from Switzerland ❤
Also, I'd love to see sunscreens without essential oils, fragrance and hydrating for skin even in summer. Dewy skin is my jam now that I an in 30s and don't have oily skin. I am a minimalist now and tinted ones are good to. Of course more bang for the buck to. I hate 1.7floz skincare lol, UNLESS it's an active.
Thank you for this! So interested in hearing your thoughts on pregnancy safe options.
Re: favorite sunscreens, I love the Altruist SPF 50 sunscreen and face fluid. I have them shipped from an online retailer in the UK to the US. Overall price is cheaper than a lot of sunscreens available locally, and I love the ingredients.
can you recommend which retailer?
I've heard from another dermatologist on you that BHA's do *not* make you more sensitive to the sun 🌞.
40s crew here! This video came just on time.❤
Thank you Dr. Shereene watching your vlogs ❤
What are your thoughts about all the peptide products especially ages 40+?
I'm 43 and I was never taught proper post-adolescent skincare. Your videos are so helpful.
Shireen plz do the same topic with affordable version pleaseeeeee... 😭😭😭😭
Love your lip color in this video….and always love your content.
happy saturday to all of you!
Et a special Happy Mothers Day 💐💐💐to you Dr. Idriss et all mums in your office.💐💐💐

I love your videos. This 40's video is awesome. Could you do a video for skin care in your 50's? Thank you
How about Timeless and Naturium serums? Are they as good as Skinceuticals?
Can you talk about Korean skin devices. I just picked up the medicube. Also EGF skincare. I always look forward to your videos 🇨🇦.
Video about gel nail, are UV /LED kamos harmful. Who should not use nail polish at all….
Please do a video about this!!! ❤❤
Another nice video from you, Dr. Shereen :) Could you do one with recommendations for budget friendly products, particularly with a product for those tech neck lines? ❤ Thank you!
DermalMD Anti Aging Serum is a game-changer for my skincare routine. It has improved the elasticity and brightness of my skin.
Nice ad ;)
Such great content ❤❤ I would love your recommendation next Saturday for an affordable tinted sunscreen that doesn’t pill over your vitamin C serum or other skincare products. Thanks!
Would love more info on sunscreens for your lips.
Great content. Can you talk about hands? I find so many hand creams make my hands sweat but I don’t want old lady hands so recommendations would be appreciated. I work indoors all day and I find my hands get dehydrated, especially in the winter. And yes, I use sunscreen on my hands!
We need a video on how to prevent aging from your mid-20s/30s!!!!
#1 is sunscreen imho! Great question too! 😊
Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!
Prob moisturise, spf and retinol @ night?
Sunscreen everyday regardless of the weather. Say no to or limit alcohol. Remember skin is the largest organ in the humans body (connective tissue) most of your skin type etc is genetic.
to those looking for affordable ahas with they might want to check out, cosrx aha, bha, c toner, the ordinary’s glycolic acid toner or lactic acid serum, versed has an aha toner that comes in a refill size, good molecules has a glycolic acid toner and serum, etc.
affordable retinols/retinals… good molecules, the ordinary, versed, beauty of joseon’s retinal eye serum can be used all over the face, etc
Me at 39, morning routine :
Hada Labo whitening facial wash
Uriage moisturising toner
Dr.Wu hydrating gel
Fancl SPF 50 sunblock
Plus living in warm climate with high humidity , naturally helps me look younger , everyone thinks I'm in my 20s....
yesss about La Roche Posay SUSNSCREEN Anthelios?? also, CICAPLAST has a Baume B5 with SPF 50 , is this good for morning routine?
What do you think of oils?Coconut? Rose hip? Argon? I love how they feel but do they do anything?
I gotta save my $ to get your major fade set!! If you could address aging (50 & 60+) skin. Are LED devices worth it? Always enjoy your videos!! Have a wonderful Mother's Day! 🎉 🩵🩷
Awesome as always....now please a video for our fifties
Appreciate the sunscreen rec. Hope you talk about UV Mune/Meroxyl in new sunscreen video.
Great channel❤! Do you have one video specificly on neck rings?
