Porsche 992 GT3 and 7 NEED to know points

- Porsche 992 GT3 - The seventh iteration of Porsches GT3 was the most hotly anticipated sports car of 2021.
It was revealed to the world looking aggressive with function clearly dictating its form to a greater extent than ever before. Some even said it’s a bit too aggressive and I’ve spent more than a year driving several thousand miles in it.
Which allows me to share with you seven Porsche 992 GT3 ownership things you really have to know, with point number seven making sense of the whole GT3 thing.
My sincere thanks go to the owners and the team at Hillbark Hotel
Find Hillbark here: www.hillbarkho...
And Porsche Chester for supplying this car: www.porscheche...
Thank you for watching 😊
If you have a cool car and would like it filming please feel free to get in touch.
My illusion of drinking alcohol was just that, no drink driving occurred here at any time.

Talking about milking a video: 17 minutes to cover 7 insignificant 'questions" tell me not this is not click bate.....
Yup, and a nice touch him drinking and driving, Phhh!!!!
What is the point of reviewing ride comfort? Are you reviewing SUVs or limousines? Get with the programme, this is about performance cars! What do you expect. Roger, sell your GT3 and buy a BMW SUV. I am sick an tired of so called "experts" talking rubbish. I covered 12k km in my 992 GT3 in six weeks. I don't think that "ride comfort" featured in my top 100 in terms of real criteria.
Interesting video Roger, to give some other UA-camr feedback, the subject matter of this video should see huge clicks but I suspect it might dive and the reason is simple, unless you know Roger Bailey (good guy) this video comes off as overly ostentatious from the first moment, it will send people to the dislike button. People that already know you will love it, the rest will kill it. Hope I am wrong but that was my feel, very popular subject matter, when I spotted the title I was excited to watch then concerned by the tone. The production quality and information are spot on as always, not to mention shirt/car color matching :) . Will be interesting to see what happens. Kind regards Nick
Dear Nick, thank you for this, appreciated, best wishes - Roger
@@RogerBaileyOnCars FFS, its Burlington Bertie From Bow!! Sorry mate, but cucumber sandwiches with afternoon tea, is a stereotype that most Porsche owners would want to avoid IMO!! Sadly, a perception that most none Porsche owners have of us I'm afraid.
@Roger Bailey - On Cars please ignore lunatic @NickMurray. He's just jealous of your car and accent. And since he drives his old 993 clunker, poor fellow needs therapy. Buy him a beer will you.
@@MohsinWadee.. Really!! ...lets see how many likes agree with you. At present you are in the minority fella!!
@@allycarr5588 I disagreed with Nick Murray, but my comments about him were tongue in cheek, and I was teasing him. I doubt he'll feel offended in the least. I subscribe to his channel. But if anyone can afford a Porsche I doubt they'll find Roger too arrogant or elitist.
A good video in general but a strangely inappropriate analogy to texting while driving to describe the ride of the car.
Hi Chris, yes, I almost cut that strange inappropriate bit out but I left it in for a bit of devilment, thanks for watching - Roger
Having owned several Porsches, I have applied for, and failed to secure a GT3 allocation since the 997. The criteria for successful allocation changes with each model. The 992 model allocation appears to need a well subscribed UA-cam channel. Having seen many 992 GT3's currently for sale (which is a contradiction of the qualification terms), I can only conclude that Porsche are condoning and supporting flippers, while real enthusiasts are repeatedly kicked in the teeth.
To be fair, I think part of that is related to the inflated prices. Even people who aren’t normally flippers feel forced to cash in on the huge windfall.
I have secured a 992 GT3 and my dealers does not condone flipping! I have a good relationship with my dealer and when I plan on parting ways with my GT car it will go back to the dealer that sold it to me. Making a few bucks off a car is not worth destroying a good relationship.
You must be exceedingly fortunate to consider upwards of $100k “a few bucks”
@@hbullock well said
Maybe you need to be a customer of more models in the Porsche range usually .
Not just a 911 per say and stick to one dealer .
You need to know Porsche are only interested in selling to the EXISTING customers 💯,pointless model
Glad youre enjoying the car, boss! Drive it like you stole it 💪🏻🚀 Its easy to forget what a privilege it is to own one of these machines. Your enthusiasm and passion is much appreciated🙌🏻
Cheers P Life 👍🏼👍🏼
You literally always brings us the best reviews. I need to send this video to my hubby because he also is all about cars 🚗 😃 You can have your own TV show. I bet it takes a lot of time to make such a great piece of art. Congratulations Roger, your amazing quality is on point! 💖
Hey Karla, great seeing you, its been a while, i trust you and your family are keeping well - my best wishes - Roger
Excellent video, time to upgrade to Porsche 911 GT3 RS-

I’m loving my 992 GT3. I’m putting it on the track this weekend. The one thing that never occurred to me before buying this car, is the fact that when it’s on the road, so many people take pictures and videos of the car. It really takes some getting used to.
you may find it to be an addiction on track !
This gen is perfect , it’s meant to be a race car on the road .
Fair play Roger, you took it up a notch with this one, great video mate, well done 👍. I'm the chap in the wheelchair that drives the 992 GTS, we bump into each other occasionally. Keep up the good work.
Hi Paul, yes we chatted recently, Catch up soon! - Roger
At least you drive the damn thing unlike some. Great video! Cheers
992 GT3 is the best car > period, it just is.
Many thanks Roger an inspirational show as always. Your film alongside Damien’s added to the anticipation?
This car reminds me with the first car I had. It was blue with a red button at the bottom. 😍🤩😍
Great video Roger, can I ask where you sourced your front plate?
Proplates... proplates.co.uk/
Great summary Roger and well put together. I agree with everything said, and indeed it brings much motoring intoxication.
Mine is a manual and absolutely love it, no regrets. For the viewers, I do not find the suspension hard, in fact I drive it in sports mode all the time to firm up the suspension even more. And yes my roads are terrible too, but love the feedback it gives. It is truely an engineering masterpiece, thank you Porsche!
Thanks 👍🏼 glad you agree,
3 minutes into the video and had to step away to reach for my iPad to leave a comment. This is an example of the best videos you make Roger. Plus I have another 12-14 minutes left to go!! Awesome!!
Porsche offered me the wheel insurance when I bought my GT4 which I quickly refused. But they never offered me the Remy Martin King Louis XIII cognac - I might have taken that.....
not on the list of freebies is that Remy Martin I was told it's £7k per bottle - gulp!
@@RogerBaileyOnCars Yeah but you can sell the empty decanter on eBay for about $500 😉
another great video Roger. A very professional review of the key points people want to hear.
on a side note -can you please advise as to where Dave from Driving Venture has gone??
Thanks Gordon
Thanks Gordon, I believe Dave from driving venture is taking a break from making youtube videos and concentrating on his driving tours.
Just got to the end of this video Roger… what a great Production… how long was this in the making wrt to editing time? I bet it took you longer than the time it took me to make and drink my 2 Friday night drinks while watching this video ;-) Properly good production… when an owner talks about their car and what they think, as opposed to car review channels like Autotrader / Carwow / Carfection, I have a much closer connection with the video content.
Thanks Max, yes it took me a bit longer than usual to put this one together, enjoyable tho !
Superb Roger 👌🏽. Hi from over The Mersey 😁 👋🏼
Cheers, hello from this side 👍🏼
Great video as always Roger! Where did you get that shark blue sweatshirt from? I especially liked point #5. I put 130,000 miles on my first Porsche. It was a DD for 11 years. Love my current 718 GTS 4.0, but if I had the funds and connections a GT3 Touring would be in my future.
thanks Tamas, i hope you get that Touring one day - Roger
It's always a shame when people buy some super cars and then stick them in a garage without them ever seeing tarmac. Cars are made to be driven. Not to be hidden.
Every year I see new, stunning cars being made. And every year I say to myself, "I'll never see that car on the road and nor, most likely, will anyone else!"
I'm always 99.9% correct.
Great video Mr. Bailey.
Your No1 Stalker 8-))...
Thanks TZ yes I agree, these cars are fun when used, keep stalking, best wishes RB & JB
Thumbs up.👍🏾 kindly do a video on the 911 S/T
Mine came with the center lock socket (US).
Interesting video that was exceptionally well put together. Congratulations Roger on being the owner of a truly magnificent motor.
By the way nice touch that your shirt matched the colour of the car.
Thanks Jon - appreciated ... Roger
Enjoyed this Roger. Your passion is clear! Always like your thoughtful content. 😎
Thanks Mohamed, nice seeing you again - Roger
Great vid as always Roger- what’s the significance behind the first 3 letters on your number plate?
Thanks Christopher, I wanted a 992 plate three letters and this one was best I could find at the time !!
your videos are excellent, I really enjoyed all of your opinions and I was especially interested to hear that the GT3 is fine for day to day use, only an owner can confirm this and not a youtuber who only has the car for a few days or less in some cases.
Thanks,
Wonderful summery. Thoroughly enjoyed the very professional video and review. Ten out of ten RB.
Thanks DM really appreciated!
Afternoon tea at Hillbark with a GT3 at your side. Winning! 👍
Winning 👍🏼😎
@@RogerBaileyOnCars I got married at Hillbark, great memories 👍
@@paulwalsham1584 lovely place
Fantastic video, thanks for sharing.
Fantastic
What a fantastic video, thank you.
Thanks Rhett 👍🏼
Nice video- agree with all your points- the wheel socket must be a uk thing as in Oz mine came with the CL driver
it seems OZ gets looked after better than UK !
@@RogerBaileyOnCars I guess it's a necessity - My state of Queensland is 8 times the size of UK yet has only 3 P dealers, nearest being 114 km away - long way to go for a flat tyre ;) - oh and taxes make up half the purchase price- my GT3 came in at GBP259k !
@@John-we7jx wow!
brilliant car and a fun way to review it
Another great video Roger and great that you drive your car.
cheers Martin appreciated
Macan GTS or Macan T?🙂 Or Macan EV?😎
Macan GTS 👍🏼👍🏼
they get better each time these videos Roger, thanks for sharing your opinions on your awesome GT3, I never knew that about dealer allocations, looking forward to the next video comparing manual verses pdk gearbox
And thank you for your comments, see you on the next one
this confirms the GT3 is the car I lust over more than any other, beautifully filmed & produced video btw
Thanks spook good seeing you again
Roger and the Stig. Epic.
he did converse actually :-)
@@RogerBaileyOnCars and I hear he's a Porsche man (997 Turbo I believe)
@@markastor6740 yes he was driving a 997 turbo, it looked well used. He remarked how well planted the gt3 felt.
Great video Roger.
Thanks Jon 👍🏼👍🏼

I never realised the wirral was such a nice place, that hotel looks beautiful.
It really is!
what a brilliant video, its like a mini movie, awesome roger.

Can we have Ben Stig to give a review too of the GT3 please 🙏
I can ask him ;-)
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
May I ask, How did your experience with Britecove turnout?
