With how often people upload day 1 guides full of misinfo for clicks you should definitely make these day 1 thought/soft guide videos. I'd much rather click on an upload from you or another member of the HLC that I respect and trust to route new content efficiently. As long as there's people spamming drivel your input will always be super appreciated :)
I'm just bummed that the effective requirements to properly do the mini game is so high compared to it's base requirement. It also just feels wrong that you can get three orders you can't actually do at
Always love to see a balanced look at new content instead of the typical upset reddit posts. Love all the music in this update, reminded me of your appreciation for the DKC soundtrack. Beautiful tracks.
the 86 real req is great to know about, makes doing master farmers more efficient since lower tier seeds are great for the minigame and high tier seeds are the regular source of herb exp. I think the herb exp/h for ultimates at master farmers was around 70k/h, this update may put it closer to the 80-90k/h mark.
Very well put out guide. In my opinion it's good that they made this content require you to grind for the rewards. The only thing I wish they would do is allow us to make and deposit all three orders instead of one of the three and the entire list changes.
If you fail the machine skips you can stop interacting with them and try again. For the Alembic you will have to wait 7 ticks, and for the Agitator you just wait for the sparks to appear again, but you have to stop interacting and restart the machine or they won't come again. Assuming you don't fail the 2nd skip, it's always faster than just waiting for the machine to finish. In case you have the same potion in different machines, the priority is Retortor > Alembic >= Agitator. The Retortor with skips is on a 10t cycle, Alembic 12t and Agitator 13t (although Agitator is also 1t closer to dropoff, so the last 2 may be equivalent, but I am certain Retortor is the best machine)
The only real complaints I see are the cost of the rewards, and how you cant turn in multiple correct orders. Aside from that, I think it is fine as is.
Yep just nerf the cost of items, and or maybe give an option to complete the full list order for extra bonus points (maybe this was intended but didn't make it to live game)
yeh doing 3 potions at once would be neat. using machines without being at them (but them running slower and not allowing you to do the "perfect" action) would be a cool thing too. Herbs shoud last much longer till picked, and a flashing arrow or something (plugin will solve that). Spam dumping wrong pots shouldn't be a meta in any capacity. Rewards take too long to get.
Having half the recipes gated behind levels is giving me Guardians Of The Rift flashbacks. I love doing solo GotR, but only after I have enough quests and Runecrafting levels to not throw games because I couldn't roll a fire elemental altar for my overcharged cell.
Damn that chat notification setting is actually so smart, I don't mind this minigame but the speed at which the digweed withers is the only thing I would consider to be super unbalanced. I only managed to catch 1 in like 5 hours of actual gameplay, but with the notification I get all of them.
They gotta do something with the rewards man... I like the minigame I just feel the rewards are too expensive for what they are.. 8 hours I got the stuff to buy the amulet 240k xp worth... I think they should nerf the reward costs that would balance it out.. Im not saying we should be able to get all the rewards within a single day but it shouldn't take 2 weeks of 8 hours a day to get them... Edit: also need to make the digweed last at least 2-3 minutes..
yea i feel like the mechanics are fine and the xp rates, especially xp/herb are fine. they just need to either increase the points gained or the cost of the rewards.
one thing i absolutely cant wrap my mind around is why rewards cost more lye than mox, youre more likely to get orders requiring the lower tier pastes, and yet things like the prepot require the most of the rarest, then the most common, and hardly any of the middle of the road pastes. it is so terribly balanced its crazy, i usually just bang out all 3 orders and i have substantially more mox than anything else because obviously those potions are more common. by the time i have enough pastes for all of the rewards i can imagine ill have an extra 40k of mox left over. it really disappoints me that they obviously dont even have ppl try these games for more than an hr before pushing it to the live game.
yeah its bad, especially at lower lvls when u cant even make the LLL potion. but dont do all 3 pots, for rewards u want to focus red and avoid green. for xp you want to avoid anything with double or triple M
Im 78 herblore so im blocked from getting the red tar which most items require 20k of of it its stupid ill get the items when im 99 and dont need them anymore
The rewards seem really slow to get, and the xp per herb is kinda ridiculous for ironmen. I mean... 500 xp per snapdragon? Up from 142,5? I think it'd be nice if they buffed the points and reduced the xp per herb (while keeping the xp/h the same, so just have each potion consume more tar per instance) Of course, it's day 1, but the math seems quite clear.
"big giga mistake" it's a 16 minute video. wouldn't have taken him long to make this. + the amount of traction from new people to his channel is absolutely worth the time investment in such a short video for such new content. all in all, @heboxjonge keep it up bro. don't listen to spastics like this.
@@The0verman Here's a free history lesson for you: People only believe that because it lost 10% players in 6 months, in which modern day games lose 95% players in 6 weeks. Helldivers 2 lost 90%+ players within a month. Palworld lost MILLIONS of players totaling nearly 99%. CSGO died and was turned into a garbage 2d overwatch with the number 2 at the end of the title. Any modern day game has this fate... but OSRS could have had a future while staying OLD If Sparc mac and the re-re uploaders begging for god wars 10 years ago shut up and enjoyed the game, it would still have 10k+ daily and be Old as Oldschool should be. PVP wouldn't be 75% auto-hotkey swaps and menu editors. PVM wouldn't be prayer flicking every single thing except for speedruns and challenges. Skilling would be skilling for supplies or slower money and not click-to-collect-1m/hour. I played the game since 2007, this is what I predict.
@HughMungusXD why lie tho? No point debating a gasligher smdh. Game was hemorrhaging players, not no 10% in 6 months. I'm sure there are no update 2007 style private servers, have fun on those bro
@@The0verman There was about 25,000 players at one point within the first 6 months, which barely dropped to 15k on low points. It never dropped below 10,000. I started 2 days after it came out, I would know. What part is a lie? Something you can't google to verify or the part that broke your whole world view because you're wrong and have a less important opinion? You probably believe the grand exchange came "naturally" when it was polled FIVE times and a system before it came out worse, to force it in the final time. Want to doubt that too? Or just go to the future with no knowledge of your past?

Narcissistic as fuck
Yo thanks for this, only heard negative things so glad to get this viewpoint, also the music is truly good
the first letter of each word tip saved me opening that journal soo many times. ty.
Naming my son Herb to commemorate this minigame
Man, a lot of these tracks in this soundtrack remind me of the Golden Sun games - so good!
Respect and agree with the takes. Also the sound track here is a banger

Thats a bit lame reminds me of gotr when you can't make like half the catalytics
@@chilwil07 at least you can usually do the elmental there.

Thanks for the guide! I had no idea you could skip time at the potion molestation stations

Thank you!!
Fully agree, the minigame seems perfectly balanced. I even think the rewards should stay the same price except for the herblore secondary.
Great video, mate
We love you!

Is it worth it xp wise for uim to do at any level if you dont care about the points?
You get pretty bad xp per herb if you don't make the ones that are the "order." It's up to you if you haven't already tried
Expert video and well explained! Thanks, as always :)
I personally think the mini game is trash and the rewards are WAY to expensive.
So I've been waiting to use all my herbs on my iron for months at 76 herblore and if I want any of the rewards I'll need 80+...sick
you can get them but it will legit take so much longer since you need like double the red points compared to green so yeah xddd
I needed that
As an average osrs player, i was getting 57k xp perh. For the extra xp per herb, that's not too bad imo
Theres a typo for the amulet says recieve instead of receive
I dont like how they chose which herbs break into which ingredients, it seems random
i think jagex should buff 3x pts or 2x lower pts from shops.
The rewards seem really slow to get, and the xp per herb is kinda ridiculous for ironmen. I mean... 500 xp per snapdragon? Up from 142,5?

My man showing his dutch roots with amal-gem and homo-genous instead of am-algem and ho-mogenous
I hear nie wat joe say
How was the zuurkool with gehakt?
heerlijk
Haha
i mean tbh you are not rly gonna see ironmen use snaps or toadflax in this minigame when you barely get any potions back.
thanks for the guide and anti-doompost king
When RuneLite approves the WIP Easy Mixology plugin, it'll become literal easyscape.
big giga mistake to upload an efficient guide this early. you know gargleflex is going to update it
they dont need to as its pretty balanced right now, only thing that needs changing is the amount of point u need for rewards

Never thought I'd see the day when herblore becomes easy on ironman mode.
That day still hasn't come lol. You still need to get 80 herb before this mini game is useful. Secondaries are not difficult to get now days lol
bruh this minigame is noooooot good lol
I disagree 😊
I hate reddit!
Can we just get an older version of the game with no future updates? I'd kill for that, every update strays further from the old in oldschool.
They tried that when osrs first released and the game was dying a slow death...seems you need to study some history
