Definitely good, because that is the climax of the story.
It's a climax that keeps on going.
I chose to stop just before the end and grind sidequests. 40 hours later, I'm still going. My total time is now almost 150 hours.

@16:10 In the Captain's defense, he isn't royalty, so it is very plausible that he has never seen an emerald. That would explain him not knowing what an emerald is.
Maybe he suddenly decided to ponder on what shade Emerald exactly is and internally debated if its Lime Green or something.

Well.... they happen to also live on gormott.. pretty good examples all around them
For new players, you can fill your arts faster by moving a bit after your first auto-attack hits. This resets the auto-attack to the first one which when repeated can quickly give you arts which deal more damage. Once you do have your arts allow the auto-attack to reach the third one and use your arts the moment they are about to hit. This should help alot in the beginning, but later you can get skills that allow you to use arts right away.

Isaih Bernardo It's a thing I call Auto-Cancelling. Have your character auto-attack and right after the attack connects, nudge your character and it reset the three hit combo.
It gives a lot of aggro though, but it is very useful.
Edit: forgot to mention in this comment, Auto-Canceling is actually when you cancel your auto attack for an art. Some arts get power increase from doing this.
But if you attempt driver arts at last auto attack combo it will boost damage output and boost special recharge. Timing is the key.
I promised myself I would never come back to this part of UA-cam.

You do realize that you can change characters... though sometimes it will force you to be Rex but other than that you can play as any character in your party at the moment by simply putting them into the 1st slot. I know I'm late but *I may have always changed to Nia (aka the best character) when I could*

Xenoblade 1 has the exact same enemy in Gaur Plains, one of the first areas, and X does a similar thing, so I think if it happens in XenoSaga too, it might just be Monolithsoft.

You didn't. The game doesn't explain it until later. (Though I think it might have been in one of the menus.) I lost to this fight as well. I was playing as Nia... Nia doesn't have the damage. Since I didn't know how to focus yet, I kept losing until I switched to Rex and took down the Cap.

English is better honestly. Nia, Pyra, and Mythra sounds way better in English. Rex is pretty much the only character that's definitely better in Japanese.
