@ricardopolath Maybe, it depends on each person's weight if you go on straight or hill.
Class 3 is not illegal but you have to meet certain law requirements. But I think 20mph is enough for an ebike. Stay safe and happy ridings!
I can't wait till they get their new Bikes in stock xp 2.0 lite jw I ordered June 5th.
The motor is mounted on its own axle separate from the drive axle. There’s a driven cog on the right side connected to a free-wheel or cassette (changing this won’t affect the motor speed) and a drove cog on the left side of the motor. If that went up a couple teeth, it’d probably add 3 mph to the top speed.

We thought about seeing if we could change it back to a 2 and try changing it back to a class 3 . Any suggestions ?
I got a third party display while I wait for another display from xp. But it won’t change from class 2 to class 3. But the throttle feels like it’s in class 3 but limited to 20mph will this get fixed once I get the original part from xp?
My trike only goes about 13 mph, which I thought was max. However, I rode my daughter’s trike which I purchased the same day. I discovered it would accelerate to 22. In Ohio, class 3 are not illegal, but must be licensed and insured and cannot go on bike paths. I have no interest in going 28 mph, but I would like to boost power for inclines. Two questions: 1. Will changing this setting improve power on inclines, as well as boost speed? 2. Can I set setting up to 20 mph (max in Ohio for class 2), but not all the way to 28?
does the lectric xp lite 2.0 upgrade to class 3?
Does changing this setting affect the life of your battery? Not charge, but how long your battery will be usable.

My buddy just bought the The Lectric XP™ Trike .
He has asked me if I can increase the speed alittle?
Even after changing the P-08 setting from 32 to 100, His trike will still only go 11 mph. ( no weight at all) with me holding the back tires up off the ground, to speed test.
It will let me pick any number between 32 & 100.
I just choose 100 because that is what the video says to do.
Did I forget to do something?
He's not wanting a rocketship, he just wants to go a few miles an hour faster than 11 mph.

No, duh, XP Trike with three tires is gaining more weight than Lectric XPedition Cargo.
You don't want to go too fast on a trike since they are easy tip when turning.
Here's the reason is very different.
As for Lectric XP 2.0 and 3.0 are almost barely the same as the top speed around 28 mph.
As for Lectric XP Trike, only the weakness is only designed for people's ages: 40s to 50s, and its heavy weight with three tires is heavier than Lectric XPedition and Lectric XPeak.
As for Lectric XPeak & Lectric ONE are kinda the same top speed, too (I think).
As for Lectric XPedition, maybe (similar to Lectric XP 2.0 or 3.0).
As for Lectric XP Lite, ..... NOPE, it doesn't add a feature part.
How many miles would you get on a full charge when in class 3?
Once switched to class 3, can you switch it back to class 2?

The XP Lite can achieve a top speed of 20 mph through pedal-assist or throttle.

Yes, it does! All of our eBikes are shipped with 20 as the max, but our XPremium can be changed to 28 mph.
Can you do this to the xp lite? I’ve seen videos on lectric bikes of this exact example but it won’t let me do it on my xp lite.
Unfortunately, from what the Lectric website shows, the XP Lite is not a model that can reach 28MPH.

- XPremium eBikes - Up to 28 MPH and a range of up to 100 miles.
- XP Trike - Up to 14 MPG and a range of up to 60 miles.
- XPedition Single Battery- Up to 28 MPH and a range of up to 75 miles.
- XPedition Dual Battery - Up to 28 MPH and a range of up to 150 miles.
Please note that range may vary based on weight load, terrain, weather, and other factors.
My bike let's me select 8. It will blink but it won't let me change it
Changing this setting is only possible on some of our eBikes, not including the XP Lite or XP Trike.
This is only for pedal assist. What about throttle?

I think they were trying to ask if there is a way to change the max speed of the throttle cause even though PAS is now unlocked at 28mph+, You only get the same 20mph with throttle @@LectriceBikes

Thanks for reaching out! Instructions on how to change the speed from class 2 to class 3 settings are on page 21 of your user manual.
1. Access the settings menu by pressing and holding the up and down arrows on the control pad simultaneously until the screen says "P1".
2. From here you can cycle through settings by hitting the power button on the control pad and adjust the settings by pressing the up or down arrows on the control pad.
3. Please go to setting "P08" and change this setting from 32 to 100.
4. Press and hold the up and down arrows on the control pad until the main screen is shown once again.
5. Power the bike off by holding the m button to save the settings you have just changed.
Please keep in mind the throttle will be limited to a top speed of 20 MPH. To reach speeds of up to 28 MPH you must be in Pedal Assist Level 5.

Can the drive sprocket on the motor be changed? Is there any provision in the “P settings” to change the wheel size?
Does the battery have only two wires - which would allow a custom Kentung controller/display solution
@benchapel9814 The hub motor itself doesn't have any gears to change but on the actual rim you can change out the gear cassette to one that has a slightly lower gear to make cruising at top speed easier.
You can change the tire size settings and as far as I can tell it's for the speedometer display. I installed 4.0 tires,adjusted the tire size all the way down and now the speedometer is only 1mph off from my phone GPS speedometer. It was waaay off before.
I don't know about the battery wiring because I'm currently not interested in changing any of the electrical components like the batteries,controller or display. Maybe in the future.

Lie. Doesnt work on trike
It does not work on the trike, but if you do this step and then go to number 22 and change it to one, it will get to its max speed of 13 to 14 mph. It helps a lot with hills.
Too bad they can't hit 35+ MPH on private land. The world needs faster ebikes. RUGER

All faster e-bikes do is create more laws against us. If you want faster speed, get a motorcycle. E-bikes are not for you. I think Lectric bikes do a good job in limiting speed so as to protect our rights to ride.
