  • What we got up to in this video...
Come with us as we explore the BOH Tea Centre in the Cameron Highlands. The views were epic and we really think this is something you need to do when visiting the area. This was a highlight for us!
BOH Tea started in 1929 and the gardens we visited is the largest and oldest of BOH tea gardens which was very cool to walk around and take in the incredible views.
So let's talk about the taxi tour, even though we did this we think it would be better to walk to or to join onto a proper tour as we think you could probably book a day out for less money. We got very lucky with our taxi driver as he used to be a tour guide pre COVID then started driving taxis because there was no tourism. If you were to book a taxi they will probably just drive to where you want to go and just be your driver. We only did this as everything was booked because of the school holidays so maybe do your research and book early? Also due to the traffic in the school holidays we only ended up going to BOH tea centre as it used up all of our RM 90 budget and as we are backpacking we didn't want to spend anymore money. We felt like we had enough time to explore so were overall very happy.

You two reminded me of vloggers 'beer for breakfast' (uk) who stayed here pre- pandemic. They actually travelled to all states in malaysia. A remarkable feat.

Living in a multi-cultured country, it’s not uncommon for us to mingle around (= cham) with friends of different races. Even when we communicate, we habitually combine three different languages into a single sentences when we speak. That said, isn’t life too boring to not mix the drinks around like how we do in life? Yes CHAM is a mix of coffee + milk tea. Also available in restaurants in Malaysia so you can order it.

@@Onthemovetravelstories also try order Neslo drinks. Its another mix unique to Malaysian but this time is a mix of Nescafe and Milo. Taste like dark chocolate tiramisu drinks.

If you fancy bathing or riding wild elephants in the river , you may go to Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary . Not sure if its open nowdays to public.

I also like tea. There's a lot of tea brands in Malaysia.. which i prefer 'teh Boh' and 'teh Lipton' bcause it taste more aromatic, to make a hot milk tea i add 2 or 3 bag of tea boh for more 'umphh'.. must to use condensed milk.

Well done ladies. Hope you enjoyed your stay there? Yes, Brits make up the largest European population in Malaysia today and many businesses are still run by them, including this one by the Russell family from Scotland. Looking forward to your next vlogs.

Just came across your channel and subscribed. If you want to see an enterprising Englishman living in Malaysia who has built his cars in the city of Ipoh, watch the YS Khong Channel and watch the latest video there 😊. Peace ✌🏻

The Russell family (caroline) should repair the bloody road at sungai palas. It is on private land. The council cannot do anything.
