I have been using EDT for around nine months now and 70+ thousand miles. I noticed an immediate difference in the amount of times the DPF cleans itself. I would say it’s around 50%. Fuel mileage went up approximately 15% and the truck runs strong. I run over the road Hot Shot in a 2021 Ford F350 DRW And have been working the truck hard. I don’t put any fuel in my truck without adding EDT. I always use the performance dose which is 2 ounces for 25 gallons.

Nice truck! According to the hotshot test data it provides better lubricity, however it’s not clear at what ratio. I am struggling to understanding the ratio they are using in their test data. Also, having excessive lubricity will hurt dpf filter and egr cooler, more soot will be generated and truck will be in regen mode more often

The other aspect that a diesel fuel additive needs to help with is water mitigation. Your other video on a CP4 failure covers this. If a vehicle has a fuel-water separator, then a dispersant works well. Hotshot's does make a claim to this. Amsoil does not.
Many of the more modern euro diesel cars don't have that feature to drain the filter. If your vehicle does not have a means of draining collected water, then you need a fuel emulsifier that encapsulates the water and allows it to be burned with the fuel.

    • @repairvehicle

What happens when engine is not running and you have fuel with water mixed? Corrosion, rust inside the pump and injectors.
Fuel filters designed to stop water from entering injectors and pump.
Filter media will absorb water and would not allow water from passing through unless it reaches filter capacity. Change filters more often than factory say and you will never have to worry about water
