    I’ve been struggling with meal planning lately and these are great easy recipes! I have a tip for everyone about onions. I would buy the bag of them but not use them up before they would sprout so I research proper storage for them and potatoes. What I learned was if they’re kept out of the light they will last longer and not sprout, but they need airflow as well. I don’t have a root cellar so I found black cotton boot bags on amazon, and on another site a couple of willow wall baskets that are deep and can be hung up. I put onions in the bag (which breathes) then put the bag of onions in the basket (which also breathes). I’m down to two onions from a bag I bought at Aldi over two months ago and they are still good! I haven’t tried potatoes yet but I’m thinking they will be good a little longer as well.

    I'm afraid that many bean sishes in a row would tear up my stomach so I'd probability opt to freeze some for alternating in later.

    Zucchini boats are a favorite around here. Are you going to grow zucchini this year?
    Aldi didn't have iceberg lettuce last time I was there. I was sad, my hubby loves it. I passed up the lettuce at Staters it was quite pricey for sub quality heads. I think the rain messed with the harvest this year.

    I have to ask (new to budgeting -retired and new to your channel). You use tube turkey a lot. Is it because of price? I recently put it into a cabbage soup I typically put ground beef in, and was disappointed. Now I’m reluctant to use it in tried and true recipes. 🤷‍♀️🙂

    • @LauraLegge
      @LauraLegge  7 місяців тому

      Yes, it’s mainly due to price. It’s much less expensive than the ground turkey in the refrigerated section. I noticed that it’s the perfect texture when I thaw it 24 hours in the refrigerator and then it does require a bit more seasoning than ground beef, in my opinion.

      Yes!! Such an easy way to do it! I have a sensitive stomach so I find that soaking them helps me digest them for some reason 😅 Otherwise I would be using my instant pot every single time. So fast and easy!

      Sorry about that! It’s a new camera and I don’t have the hang of it yet 😅 I’ll work on it!

    Iceberg lettuce is merely a carrier for the dressing. Ittl has very little nutritional value.

    This is the same video labeled 20 meals for $25. It is a different intro but the same exact video. 🤔

      @Carol.LosAngeles thank you for letting me know! I’ll work on mixing it up 😅

      @Carol.LosAngeles no worries! Sometimes constructive criticism is hard to hear but I’m glad when people tell me so I know if I need to make changes 😄 I’ll try to at least loosen up a bit in my intros! I’ve gotten less scripted in my voiceover but I still need to continue focusing on slowing down when I talk 😆
      And I’m working on some other video types that aren’t just recipes so hopefully I can put those together soon!

      No, I think that in one place it said something like $5.00 dinners and the over video said 20 meals for $25 or something like that. I enjoy Laura's videos. She's creative and has a lot of great tips and hacks. I think she tries to give us valuable content and I'm surprised she doesn't have more subscribers, that's why I thought it was weird to see the same video twice. Maybe it was my mistake. @Lauralegge keep the videos coming!!!!!

      @@glendagonzalez2469 I posted this video with different editing on Facebook at the same time! It has a different intro - is that the one you saw?
      I’ll definitely keep the videos coming ☺️ thank you so much!
