I'm new to climbing and right away I found myself frustrated with my single flip line and went looking for a 2 way device. Found the Gibbs and bought it. But as soon as I got it home and set up I regretted it because I realized it is still not one-handed. thanks for the demo

This will be better than sweating it out hugging a tree that is bigger than a pole or leaning a bit trying to get my pole strap around it. Great demonstration thanks for the link.

Do you have issues with the Gibbs self slacking when you are flipping up the tree, if so did you solve it it are you resetting the tension each time you put your weight on it?

    Thanks for this video Jacob
Why do you prefer to attach the gibz klimbair to your saw side as opposed to your left side harness D-ring?
I am experimenting with the Klimbair and I am comfortable flipping ambidextrous and using two flip lines as well as the monkeys paw at the seat and seat and saddle/swami intersection, so I wonder what’s the most efficient and why I might chose one 2 in 1 flip line anchor point (left or right, d-ring or cats paw) over the other
FYI, I am using a monkey beaver saddle
    And
I have a fixed bridge along with and adjustable bridge
So far this is advantageous because sometimes I am in the short trees with more girth than they have height, and there is a lot of limb walking
I use a top rigged climb line to my unicender, and the adjustable bridge
And I keep the long tether attached as a positioning line to the shorter fixed bridge
This allows me to float the unicender around face level and/or on my chest harness clip by using the adjustable bridge and the tether can be adjusted on center line from the short fixed bridge slightly lower and still center line with most any low pro rope grab device
Leaving my large monkey paw location and my d-rings available for flip line attachment locations
Thing is that the adjustable bridge petzl micro grab has potential to interfere with possibly the gibz klimbair or the unicender
I will have to rewatch this video and see exactly how you have your zig zag rigged, possible I can answer my own location but I think this video is from before you got the monkey beaver saddle, dunno
Really appreciate the videos and could use some insight
    Thanks in advance

Serious question. Seeing you swing the slack end of flipline around the trunk while still bucked in... Could you "double loop" yourself ... Instead of disconnecting the lower buckle? I am just thinking additional safety... As two loops around the trunk better than one... Without any other rope attachment?

You really wouldn't like how I climbed power lines for years lol. Just one leather safety. Hold yourself close to the pole with your left hand, unhook your safety with the right hand and let it fall, then hold yourself with your right hand and sling your safety over top the neutral and continue on lol.
If the pole is bare when your pulling in wire for example, you pound a lag bolt into the pole and put your safety above that when you get to the top.
Remember your doing this while wearing long sleeve FR clothing underneath rubber gloves and sleeves, with leather protectors over the gloves along with rubber over shoes that weigh about 2 pounds over your steel shank, steel toe leather boots and you get to work on 7,200 volts once you get to the top lol. It was the best job ever.
Now they make you wear a buck squeeze safety or something similar. Gone are the days of leather safety's.

this seems far more complicated than just shooting a line into the top and rope walking up if you have to install rigging before cutting.
hell you can even shoot into the canopy and cut on the way up.

True but with this system around the trunk you get to inspect your anchor points (the trunk) as you go up. Tossing a line up you don't get to really see your anchor point until after you've climbed.
