One thing about squad is that sometimes some of the people you're playing with can say and sound super immersive and in combination with some of the really cinematic moments Squad can have it's become a really fun game although hard to learn. I think people shouldn't be discouraged from playing as there are numerous beginner servers to join. #squadfeel starting to replace what the old #battlefeel used to be all about
If anyone sees this and feels nervous or overwhelmed by hopping into squad, watch some vids and play rifleman. Find a RAAS server that helps new players, join an open squad and tell the squad leader you're new. Also don't lead a squad just yet. It can be a bit much. There is more to it than saying "follow me squad"
I would actually stay away from servers labelled "new player friendly". They're often full of players trying to play the game like it's battlefield. Try a bunch of servers, especially the ones that tend to have longer queues, and find one or two you like. Then, make an effort to find good squads and participate in whatever they're trying to do and try to be active on comms, asking questions when you don't understand something. You'll pick the game up soon enough, and have more fun. That's the best way to learn the game at the moment IMO.
@@pietervanderpol3497 maybe even try HLL first, little easier learning curve (still steep though) both are great games and give you an experience very few games can replicate.
Try Hell Let Loose... if you're coming from BF2 and 3, you'll love it...
yeah i feel like this is super cap, im attentive asf and studied a bit before goin in, beyond just the tutorials, but was still clueless as to what was what on the map, how to identify objectives, and generally what you're supposed do from a tactics perspective, joining noob friendly servers gets you either a quiet guy who created a squad cause no one else would, and doesnt lead it before quitting 15 minutes in, or you get an established squad, then when you tell them you're new they say ok "fall in line, dig this hab", but they dont explain shit. later as your team is losing you hear them laughing in local chat about how the team is full of idiots.
now im not complaining about the game, its great and ive consulted youtube extensively for help, i will adapt to it, but you def shouldnt advocate this as beginner friendly at all. ive had too much experience with actually inviting communities.
The 1 tap headshots are so amazing in this game. I’d love to see shroud get some pistol plays though lmfao.

I gotta admit. This is a pretty cool game.
Hearing the guys talk about being low on ammo or waiting for resupply, but then you take heavy indirect fire with the tally advancing on your position with no air coverage. Just one of those days where units were tasked out.
Seeing this as a game is wild.

The acogs were the shizniz back in 07 when we were in tarin kowt. You need to add apaches, we used to call them in most times during heavy contacts. We got to watch the carnage from the Apaches on return to base one time and the pilot was a blonde stunner from dutch land, she could have been a model instead. We were like fk ye what a mad bi##h. Good times, watching this with all the equipment and vehicles brought back some nostalgia. Great experience.

What I love the most about this game is that it doesn’t show your kills till the end of the match. And kills don’t count for much in points. I’ve racked up so many points by just reviving and healing people
I'd argue the best part of this game is the community servers. No cheaters, no griefers, no toxic children, no call of duty players. They get kicked and perma banned fast becasue there are always admins watching. Not being a team player will get you removed, as it should be. This game will last another 20 years just on that fact. The reason no multiplayer games are worth playing anymore is because they are marketed towards that largest market of undesirables. Making it an "easy-to-pick-up" game has only destroyed the quality of multiplayer games. The people that want a hand-holding game to grief and cheat in don't deserve to play multiplayer games. It's high time the gaming community starts to remove these people. The industry needs to cut the greed and stop catering to them.

i come from a cod/bf background and bought squad on the free weekend and been playing for 40 hours ever since XD
i def see where ur coming from but heres a really easy trick: just try and join a proper squad that communicates and stick with them because if you're not around teammates and you die, that's your fault. ask ur squad lead where to go and to give directions because you're meant to help the squad lead help and squad lead is meant to help you. it goes both ways. yeah you gotta walk sometimes but if your SL is smart and communication skills are good he will ask some other squad to help out on that and stuff..

The knowledge comes with time. You get a sense for where you should exist and where you shouldn't. The biggest reason you die is because you're visible while you're moving while someone sitting still isn't. On top of that, you need to be checking your map every at least 10-20 seconds to see where to expect enemies from, or at least to know where friendly forces are. It takes A LONG time to get good. I've been playing since 2015.

@@McSniffle the most basic thing you have to do to learn how to play properly is checking your map as often as possible. It may sound extremely easy to do, but you don't even need to be skilled in firefights in games such as Squad, just be aware of your surroundings and it's a win-win

I have to disagree about the sneaky parts of the map and being able to pull off flank plays, I think it makes the game seem more realistic

I used to do sneaky plays in battlefield. Y’know. The kind that takes 30+ minutes to flank around the enemy. And now, I do it in Squad. Same satisfaction, but feels so much rewarding with how difficult it is to control the weapon

Fun fact from an ex serving Irish defence forces member. We got the AUG from Australia by trading a few tones of butter and potato's... but we have since vastly upgraded to better AUG A3. So no more shit rail sights and all rocking British ACOGs.

How many spawns do you get? How about ammo re supply? Do you have to evac the injured?
Spawns cost one ticket. Ticket amount per team is decided by the game mode and map. You can either spawn at your squad leader's rally, or at a FOB, which are bases that the players themselves have to build. There is no evacing for the injured, but you can revive most downed players with bandages. If you die from certain caliber weapons or too soon after being revived, you can no longer be bandaged up and will need to respawn.
Ammo and supplies can be resupplied from ammo bags that riflemen carry, from FOBS, or vehicles that have ammo. However, ammo and supplies are limited and thus you need logistic trucks and helicopters to bring supplies to FOBS on the front lines.

@@EGGZ1983 Don't be afraid to ask questions. If you are communicating and trying to learn, the community will generally try to be very helpful and teach you. There is a LOT of mechanics to the gam but you will learn them in time. When you have a good team and a good squad, no other game can compare to the feeling.
Game seems fun to play with some friends but its a little expensive.. for 20 euros I would consider buying it. Hopefully it goes on sale sometime.

no, on this specific map layer, they get the classic AUG scopes. It's more of an easter egg kind of thing the devs wanted to add.
