    There are a lot of British accents and dialects. These 44 phonetic symbols belong to the so-called "Received Pronunciation" or RP, which is a social accent that has been considered the spoken form of Standard British English.

      most people have that in the uk many older generations have the other accents but up north they tend to keep there accents more

    I generally prefer American accent but I'm gonna have an oral exam at college of reading words written by the phonetic transcription so thank you for these, it's really helpful!

      Hello Duong Tran. In English expression, there is no "in term of .. " like you used but " in terms of .." You may say "in the short term..."

      I use a system with each symbol given a number so you can easily identify the symbol

    I think Vowel sounds it more important than Consonant sounds in learning british accent

    Beautiful! There is no /e/ in said using the IPA transcription rather it is the diphthong /ei/. Said is transcribed thus: /seid/. Thanks once again, I really enjoyed it.
