I Hear Keuka Calling

Over the summer, I was privileged to stay with a dear friend on Keuka Lake in New York state. Keuka rapidly became one of my favorite places in the world, and her mark on me has not lessened in the months since coming home.
"I Hear Keuka Calling" is my gift back to this enchanted land, and my prayer that I will someday walk those rocky shores again.
I hear Keuka calling
Her powers beckon me
Bathed in her healing waters
Is where I long to be
The friendships she's awakened
Are beautiful and rare
And I know when I return
I'm always welcome there

The mem'ries fill my soul
Fireflies and frolic
Relax - give up control
When Keuka works her magic
It's "laked" that you become
Close your eyes and drift away
Beneath the setting sun
Zebra mussels underfoot
Green weeds brushing skin
Mornings spent out on the dock
Fish that jump and swim
I hear Keuka calling
From the shadow of The Bluff
Oh, to spend a lifetime

Near the bluff of beautiful Y shaped Keuka is a neat spot to be - you have three sections of the lake to explore by boat, almost like being on three lakes. Nice video!
