I agree he looks extremely happy and carefree. The more famous he became his music took a turn in a completely different direction. All the money and fame in the world couldn’t keep out all the crap he had to deal with. Most of his songs were very personal and coincided with his real life experiences. He was one talented genius.

Early days of wham were just like dream. These two guys were simply flying.
Saw him twice, once in 1988 and then in 1991 in New Jersey. . We had so much fun going to concerts. We also saw INXS in 1988. Miss those great days with friends and great music.
Saw him in the Faith tour in 1988! I was eighteen. Can't believe it would be such a precious memory.

mine is around the same time, 2 weeks and one day from when this was uploaded, im going to consider it a birthday gift too. last year on my birthday my favourite george song came on the radio and later the same day my favourite wham song came on, i said it was too weird for it to be a coincidence because id never heard either of those songs played on that radio station, ive spoken to other fans about stuff like this it has to be him :)

It hurts to look at George's shirt which looks more like a gaudily decorated blouse ! Even more, it hurts to SEE GEORGE WEARING that shirt ! 😁😁 But then it's also a nostalgic capsule in time. It's all good though, because GM only went on to become an iconic pop star of the 80's & into the 90's, and of all time for that matter ! And that was all possible due to his enormous musical talent. These early videos give us a glimpse of his talent despite the fashion sins.

Careless Whispers...I wouldn't go that far ! George had much better songs and performances just a few years into the future as his talent blossomed and matured. But this clip is definitely iconic and gives us a glimpse of the talent he already had in him even in the early part of his career. He just got better and better from here.
