They couldn’t get past the very southern Sikh kingdom of Patiala. Who they kept losing to despite having larger armies. The only time Marathas got past Patiala was in 1788 when Patiala hired them as mercenaries to go fight another Sikh kingdom for them and after that Marathas tried to betray Patiala but Phulkians kicked them out. Another time was 1750’s but that’s because Sikhs assumed Marathas as allies and left Mughals in charge. Afterwards Sikhs never let Marathas back into Punjab

On the second day after they lost with Martha on first day. Like you said they regrouped and came back again. So obviously end result was favored to Sikhs. No doubt because of political betrayal it lead to Sikhs not to trust on Maratha like no one helped Maratha in Panipat war... Sikhs , Rajput like literally no one no water no food either, anyways we don't cry over that our soldiers fought bravely with empty stomach , died like warriors... They couldn’t get past the very southern Sikh kingdom of Patiala. Who they kept losing to despite having larger armies. The only time Marathas got past Patiala was in 1788 when Patiala hired them as mercenaries to go fight another Sikh kingdom for them and after that Marathas tried to betray Patiala but Phulkians kicked them out. Another time was 1750’s but that’s because Sikhs assumed Marathas as allies and left Mughals in charge. Afterwards Sikhs never let Marathas back into Punjab
@@harveykaler991 When Martha tried to invade the punjab in that period it was under the Afghans and I guess there wasn't any Sikh empire to begin with actually after decline of Martha empire Sikhs came in power, anyways that's not important my bad it was Sikh victory.. On the second day after they lost with Martha on first day. Like you said they regrouped and came back again. So obviously end result was favored to Sikhs. No doubt because of political betrayal it lead to Sikhs not to trust on Maratha like no one helped Maratha in Panipat war... Sikhs , Rajput like literally no one no water no food either, anyways we don't cry over that our soldiers fought bravely with empty stomach , died like warriors... For Me Maratha was the strongest who fought on land, mountains, sea, jungle.. With Mughals, British, Afghan, Portuguese to Dutch 🙂

Don't forget marathas left punjab land when abdali attacked 2nd or 3rd time and Marathas ran away but Sikhs fought alone and made damage to abdali army but then they had an agreement in which abdali will give them 30,000₹ and they let them pass through panjab sikhs agreed because of the betrayal of Marathas than when Marthas fought against abdalis without the help of sikhs they lost
