What a lot of people forget about the "One Beer" episode is that, after the segment ends and the screen fades to black, it comes back on with Buster, Hampton and Plucky in wardrobe removing the angel costumes and commenting on it. I think it was Hampton saying that the episode was a little over the top while Buster counters with "Yeah, I know it was - but how ELSE are going to get our message across?". And I personally agree with that - sometimes you have to make people uncomfortable to get them to understand.
While I kind of get that, the episode also demonstrates the exact problem with that approach - namely, that the furor over the episode itself vastly overshadowed the intended message. That ultimately is the problem with trying to use shock value to impart a moral, if the shock is what's remembered the moral isn't.
I remember watching shows as a little kid. Rewatching them now, I realize how many adult/suggestive jokes went over my head. Parents, trust me. Your kid isn't going to understand most of the jokes you find objectionable.
And even if they did understand, would it really be such a big problem? Children aren't harmed by the suggestion of sex or even accidentally seeing it when adults watch series. I would be way more okay with children accidentally seeing a sex scene from game of thrones than a beheading, because they understand pain and violence, but not sex.
Oh yyyeeeaaah! That show disturbed me a lot as a kid. Can't even think of a particular instance and I'm not that sensitive, I just remember being creeped out a lot. 😵💫

Fun fact about the Telletubbies entry: They had to scrub SEVERAL episodes from syndication over that bit. Because they figured "Oh, dur, they're just dumb preschoolers with the average memory span of a goldfish, they won't recognize a rerun" and cut costs by recycling their "magical event" moments across multiple episodes. So when it finally hit the fan on them, they couldn't just pull one episode from reruns and continue business as usual. They had to go through the whole library in search of every single time they'd used it.

Fun fact: apparently, after hearing about how Electric Soldier Porygon induced seizures, the US military attempted to make a weapon with the same affect. It didn’t work, but it’s funny how the military of one of the most powerful countries was inspired by a now-banned anime episode.

as an Australian, that Peppa pig episode caused quite the uproar, was on the news and, from memory, they had a wildlife handler doing quite the educational speech on SPIDERS. couldn't watch it. also, these banned episodes have ended up CLASSICS in their own right, and some dvd releases have them as hidden extras.

It recently appeared with its evolutions in pokemon horizons
The entire Pokemon seizure thing was debunked literally decades ago. Sad to see doing even basic research isn't done here anymore.

There was one thing about the tubbies that infuriated my mom so much that she wrote a letter about it. The tubbies jump into holes. Toddlers watching this could easily get the idea that they might find tubbies in holes and would jump into holes that they find, which could be very unsafe.
Yes, because I played Super Mario Bros. I am now living in a sewage tunnel.
Makes total sense. 😅
@@Torero2901 You're not a toddler. They believe the things they see n TV.
@@caroldragon7545 i played a lot of Mario as a kid. It is total nonsense what you claim. Denigrating the intelligence of children even.
I saw a lot of the shows on the list and it all went over my head 😂
I hated the Teletubbies since i was a child i had nightmares because of them 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I actually watched "mid life crustacean" while I was little, kinda weird nickelodeon didn't banned this a few days after the episode aired
Pingu was my childhood and those clips gave me ptsd

Just because some of these offend you Be Amazed, and other Betas like yourself, doesn't mean they should be banned to everyone else.
24:21 Who in their right mind would ever let Dr. Phil entertain their kids, much less instruct an adult about anything more dire than a bad haircut?!
I don't see why they waited until 2019 to ban that simpsons episode, MJ had been dead for about 10 years at that point... kinda hard for him to do anything to kids when he is dead, you know...
I guess it's just the modern team trying to be "politically correct" by not wanting to remind people of the past?
I know a lot of people who strongly believe that MJ was innocent
@@bluegold1026he will always be innocent. Even the kids that claimed that got groomed by MJ said that it was all lies. Their parents just want a piece of money.
@@SpinzoLynxYTand yet the evidence proves otherwise
go back to loving a groomer, creep
@@bluegold1026because they don’t want to accept their hero bing a pervert
it was because it negatively affected their newest cash cow
I've always found censorship odd when parents, the ones who are the bigger influencers, often swear in front of their kids themselves. That has a lot more impact than hearing it on TV.
The entirety of Peppa Pig is banned in my household because I'm incredibly afraid of her. I'm not afraid of pigs, I'm just afraid of Peppa.
18:41 there is a SpongeBob episode where they run out of krabby patties
At the end Mr. Krabbs is seen going into a bathroom with a newspaper. SpongeBob asks him what he's doing and he says "going to make more krabby patties"
11:52 harsh😂 if you play it enough times over and over again it sounds like boss
This video never gets old oh also in rise of the tmnt they referenced insane in the membrane by making a episode called insane in the mama train
5:53 when are the younger I actually saw that episode
That TeleTubbies episode looks freaking hilarious!
People need to watch their kids and raise the right. Stop using the digital babysitter and take responsibility and accountability
ok karen, its a UA-cam video
Yeah the Teletubby video triggered my PTSD, I watched that episode when I was a kid and it absolutely terrified me. It still creeps me out when I think about it and seeing it again made me very uncomfortable.
agreed!
18:30 I've seen that episode like 17 times 😂😂😂
Fun fact: apparently, after hearing about how Electric Soldier Porygon induced seizures, the US military attempted to make a weapon with the same affect. It didn’t work, but it’s funny how the military of one of the most powerful countries was inspired by a now-banned anime episode.
When you’re out of pokeballs: bang bang 17:38
"Flashing blue & red lights are shown to mark the event, it can cause seizures if it is the right frequency" how come Police, Fire & Ambulance lights don't cause seizures, & making us end up needing an Ambulance? cause they have strobe lights, really fast ones, I mean yeah they're not that visible in the day, but in like dark areas with tall buildings (Like alleyways) or at night, they're very bright & visible, are they a different frequency to avoid seizures? & Awh Man, this episode of Pokemon looked so cool, that creature is so cool, it's like an Origami of a Pokemon!
Who knew I was a living fossil???😂
No those episodes are hilarious as hell. Little kids are prone to swear when they’re pissed off as hell and it’s nothing new at all.😂
3:03, That Was So Unexpectable that Dede was doing the Middle Finger🖕😨
You know it’s gonna be a good day when be amazed posts new content ✌🏾😇😻
Well i grew up in the 90s. People are either snowflakes these days or are literally looking for shit to be offended by.
I admit it, all episodes of pingu give me chills because it's like they are living in nowhere. Feels like your alone in nowhere 😥😰
Scary 😰😱💀☠️
Teletubbies are terrifying, always, in my opinion
the 8th episode of Season 1 titled Deadly Force from Disney's Gargoyles was controversial due to Broadway shooting Elisa (he was playing with her gun and accidently shoots her) you could say it's a PSA on gun safety (the episode was redubbed to remove any blood around Elisa) it's shown in its entirety on the DVD version
24:43 Jamie from MythBusters appears.
as an Australian, that Peppa pig episode caused quite the uproar, was on the news and, from memory, they had a wildlife handler doing quite the educational speech on SPIDERS. couldn't watch it. also, these banned episodes have ended up CLASSICS in their own right, and some dvd releases have them as hidden extras.
I actually remember seeing the peppa pig episode on cable tv (ps this was awhile ago and I'm not an adult in anyway)
Why it be band
My favorite banned ep featured here is TMNT's "Insane in the Membrane".
And the Teletubbies show was a horror by itself! 😱😱😱😱
23:59 my 1st time seeing them lol😂 even though i seen in general those episodes but not this kind.
I totally agree they will never fit in those kind of movies! Lol they’re are just like 2 viruses in that movie.
