There was a small error in the original upload that is fixed in the linked video.
Oh yeah! This is the video that helped me! Watched the entire and saved it. Very informative so thanks a bunch! I noted all the transforms / opacity between the clips and also the text. Really helps explain what layers are for.
Great job I didn’t know what I didn’t know until I watch this video
Thanks so much!
Thanks for your great work! 👍
My pleasure! Really happy you are finding the videos useful!
Thanks once again, Ben. That's exactly the information I needed for my current video. Perfect timing. (I still find FCP a bit awkward after making the jump from PP, as I'm also working on PP with a colleague). Cheers.
Thanks. Definitely new knowledge for a beginner like me today. I have a question, how do I move a clip on the timeline and the object (layers) above it to also move to the new location?
Good question! I created a video in response to your question. Check it out here - ua-cam.com/video/JpXh6oFB9vs/v-deo.html
how helpful thank you! was wondering what layering was for. new to FCP
Really happy you found this helpful. Let me know if you have other Final Cut Pro questions.
@@BenjaminHalsall I will! Take a look at mine and comment! I anticipate getting better. I’m going to get a GoPro for secondary / primary so I can do more with the layering. I think I’m addicted. Stuff ain’t cheap!
@@magdumpmonday I will take a peek. Got a specific video where you used layers or another tutorial I created?
Also, if you like layers then this video takes it to the next level - ua-cam.com/video/zlTi52RmCAo/v-deo.html
@@BenjaminHalsall well my first vid I layered text and a few generators but that’s it. At the time was still confused what layers were for. I’m gonna check out the link you just sent thanks!
Hello, I was wondering how did you get rid of the little square box that was in your timeline? The one with a white line around it. It's just I noticed that I have the same one in my timeline, and I cannot seem to get rid of it. Could you help me with this please?
ben, you may want to go back and make a tweak to the edit, you cover up the inspector when you are showing and talking about it.
Thanks! What time?
Found it, thank you. Managed to cut it out with the UA-cam video editor! I'll also upload an updated video.
