Another great video! Liked seeing the little guy out there with you. Good job on the intro of the Nucanoe. Looking forward to watching all of the upgrades you make. I really hope it works out great and is everything you wanted in a kayak. Happy Father's Day brother! As always, #RJMFishtales rocks!!!
Thank you David. Happy Father’s Day to you as well. Yes the Nucanoe build will be slow but fun! Look forward to sharing with all of you. Thanks for the support as always and until next time.
I am glad I can help. Yes if you can get the Unlimited over the Frontier. I know it’s a little harder to paddle over the Frontier but I feel the Unlimited will be more stable and safer for tandem setup. Also I will be starting a kid series soon with me and my son fishing as a separate playlist to help build the channel and reach a bigger audience.
i took my unlimited on its maiden voyage this past saturday. did 6 miles on the river. i took my wife and 3 year old son and it did pretty good. at first i had the weight distributed poorly i had way to much weight on the front half. i put the cooler in the back behind me, it was a good 50 lbs at least 😂. once i did that it performed great. i plan on getting it back out this weekend
The new Titan X is pretty crazy if you want to have whatever and still have pedal drive. I wanted to go back to less and have the tandem capability though. But when that boat is finally out to public it’s definitely going the market. It’s rated for 2 motors.
That is awesome lil guy is going to start kayaking with you man. It was so cool seeing him on the kayak with you. It's going to be so much fun then he go out with you man. My Granddaughter is 6 or 7 years old & she loves going kayaking & kayak camping with us & she got her own 10ft kayak that she is riding in too. I got a Grandson who is a year old as of right now & just waiting on him to get big enough to go kayaking with us too. Thar is a nice kayak man. I really really like your new kayak man. It is really nice & I can't wait to see what you do to it. It was cool to see you & your son on the kayak on the kayak barefooted 👣 man & it was cool seeing you wearing your Olukai flip flops 🩴on man. I have been wearing Minds here lately. Thanks you for sharing this video buddy.
Thanks. I have never been on the MK. The one old town I had I did not like. I tried for a bit and went back to Hobie after I sold my boat. I am going to be putting in some seat time by myself on the Nucanoe. If I like it I may make it my primary kayak once I can afford a motor. So we will see. I like less moving parts. Paddle, motor and a seat!
Jackson used to make a kid size fishing kayak. I think it’s going to be a long while before he’s ready to go solo on the Unlimited. Are there any age restrictions on solo use of a motorized boat? The Unlimited is great. The option’s really are unlimited.
I will be with him for a long time before he is on his own for sure. I may make this my primary kayak and keep Hobie as the spare. I will just throw seat on it when he comes. We will see. I am sure there is an age limit. Probably 15 or so for motorized. But under so many HP. I will probably get 2 different foot control cables for motor. One longer when I am by myself and one shorter for when I move the seat back when he is with me.
It did ok with the water trial paddle they gave me. I need to get a 260-275 cm paddle. But being in current, it did pretty well. Definitely tracks straight. But for sure it’s got some weight. I may make the Hobie the second kayak and make this one mine as a primary and just add the seat when my son comes out. I am back and forth. I like the simplicity of it. It will be nice to just have a motor with steering and a paddle. That’s it. We will see.
Awesome brother gonna be good to see him on the waterwith you. Gotta love the folks at Higher Gtound
Yes it’s going to be fun for him. He loves fishing already. He will enjoy it.
So awesome Ryan can't waitt o see it
Happy Father's Day!

Great video. I have a son not much older than yours and we were looking at the unlimited and the Frontier 12. This really helps make my decision

@rjmfishtales good advice. Will he picking ours up next Friday. I subscribe so look forward to seeing how you guys build it out.
Thank you for the support. I appreciate it. Stay tuned. Build should be done in about 3 months or less.
Great info! Looking at a Nucanoe for my first kayak.
Glad I could help. I have quite a few videos on the Unlimited. Alterations etc… You will really like the Unlimited if you go that route.

Welcome to the family. You will definitely enjoy it. It’s fun to customize or keep simple and move things around on the tracks!
Good review. I think I’m totally going to try to sell my native slayer max and get one of these. For everything you’re talking about.

I just bought one of these in straight black hull with green floor pads from Racoon Creek Outfitters and I love it.
That’s awesome. I have the Torqeedo on its way. So can’t wait to rig that up.
Great choice for getting you both out on the water. Torqueedo is defiantly good upgrade choice.
Thanks JT. Yes my butt is not paddling it forever with the 2 of us or even by myself!! Lol. But need to sell a kidney first to get the Torqeedo
Start 'em young!

Yes he will have fun. It is going to be a slow build as I need the money to get everything lol. But we will get there. Catch you next time.
Cute kid😂 .I've been looking at those as well. But I do live my old town sportsman 106 MK.
Thanks.

I almost opted for the Unlimited instead of the PA 14. It's a very nice boat.
Yes I am going to have some fun with it.
