Very cool! I love your farm and how you utilize every animal into a way of soap!!!

While watching I just kept remembering my first experience with the Prickly Pear. We had seen them in a fruit barn and mum told me to get one. I was only 12 years old and I didn't know I needed to use the tongs. I picked up almost a dozen fruits trying to decide which one to get. Both my hands were filled with those fine prickles for days after! Never touched another since!!
I bet this is a beautiful soap. I love the colour!
Now Soap makings is your "job" you need to treat it as such. When I went though this process, it took me a few years to learn that I needed to treat it as if I was going to work especially when I was working at home. In truth, we never really switch our minds off to our business, but I make sure I only do the physical work (the making and packing orders) during work hours and I schedule one or two days off a week. I made sure I worked 8am to 4pm for 5 days a week when I was working at home. I am now really forced to do that with a shop away from the house. I found setting a work week, made me more productive as I knew I only had set hours to do things. I am sure you will find what works best for you.

I love seeing your property and your animals. It is always very interesting learning about how you prepare your plants for your soaps and beauty products. You have inspired me to use some of my home grown herbs in my soaps. Thank you, Patrick!

Wow! Who knew you could use cactus to make soap? Very interesting indeed! Perhaps writing a book on soap making is a possibility? If so, reserve a copy for me!!!

Just beautiful Pat. I use the cactus for my hair. Can imagine the lather, btw I am missing your lather test videos. On the other side Pat, adjusting time might be difficult, but worthy. You sounds so much happier and yes for 🚶‍♀️

I'm a born and bred Texan, and I've always wondered if I could use cactus in my soaps. Thank you so much for this video! I'll be trying this soon!

We have a ton of prickly pear on our s Texas ranch. I make jelly and goat milk soap with the tunas, but have never used the pads for soap. Thank you for such a great video! I’m going to try this very soon and will definitely subscribe to your channel. 😊

Wow. I always looked at cactus as something edible. Looks like it makes great soap. Nice colors.

Thank you, this was a great looking soap, I can only imagine how good it smells and feel. I love listening to your stories, you have a soothing voice that I could fall asleep to, not because of boredom, but relaxing, stress free tone you have. Could you give me a base recipe to go with for all your recipes that I could use to make soaps, I cannot afford to purchase but I want to make them for myself.

I wonder what the suds test will show up for this one. It looks great. I reckon this is a great opportunity for some mental health spring clean. You might soon be in a position of creative unrest. X
