This was my first time at Summer Camp and seeing Umphrey's Mcgee. Some random dude came up to me and started smoking me up throughout the entire show. Best experience ever.
saw this band last night,expected very little,pleasantly surprised,The band ROCKS and the light show was awesome..I would see them again in a minute.The crowd was excellent,Mellow ,I didnt see any arguements or hassles.ROCK ON ! ! !
It is so people can find their friends, which is dumb anyways cuz we all know getting lost at a festival can be the most fun part. Just meet new people and dance the day away
I think I'm one of few that loves rage sticks. I got to watch 2 ninja turtles battle Darth Vader with a dildo lightsaber during Trey this year at SCamp, and I though that was fantastic
fuck the egos with no consideration for the people behind them. if your group gets separated that easily, stop shoving your way to the front and hang back
Ragesticks are simply extra culture, extra novelty. As a lover of anthropology I love ragesticks. Yes, if a ragestick is front and center and in front of everyone's view yes take that shit down. However, there are many instances when one can simply move to another angle or get a little closer and not be affected by the ragestick. What if I have a ragestick..and I paid the ultra super VIP package which means I paid MORE money than you did...can I do it then? or..... if you want to talk about spending money we can go there
It makes you easier to find, gives you something to lean on, is a very visible piece of identity for some people at fests. But yeah, if I'm stuck behind one I am pissed. Especially at an Umphrey's set.

But as far as a clear view you either gotta find higher ground in the back, or fight your way to the front. I show up two hours early typically so I can get front for UM, it's well worth it

I'm gonna let you kids in on a little secret. Do you know who hates those flags the most? The bands. Yep that's right, they despise them, and for good reason.

Including at the artists. Not saying the don't hate the flags, but that's probably one of the lesser things that annoy them imo.
