AZ challenged what a hardcore artist could be, intelligent, yet hood!
Ho Happy Jackie in particular surprised me because it's almost curse free, no gratuitous uses of profanity!
    AZ is definitely top 5!

      duron bryant Yeah, unfortunately!
I believe this ruined the genre and brought it to where we are today.
But, the straight street material and the timeless Life's A Bitch verse are the best of show!
What made his Life's A Bitch verse so iconic wasn't just his delivery, it was how true those lyrics where and will forever be!
The mafioso raps where just to sell a few records and make a few dollars, like cutting your product to get more money from lesser quality product.
I'll be the first to admit, it grew out of control and diluted the integrity of the genre.

Truth be told AZ is the hardest out of the firm no doubt. The guy is a quiet assassin that is on my mama word. He is dangerous than Nas but hates Fame. I respect AZ to the core will die to shake his hand. I need his down to earth attitude.
