Correct or correct?...the era of Hip Hop where you could come from one city have different crews that sounded raw, real and different...this docu-series was needed. The younger generation need to know their Hip Hop History
The Alkebulan Trust too right dude . You really couldn't find a single rapper or crew that sounded alike . Everyone had their own style with the clothes down to the sound . And so many of them . Back then there was loads of amazing artists and now I struggle to even find ten that are groundbreaking and timeless not like the late 80's to mid 90's even towards the end of the 90's and now it's not even worth it listening to what they call hip hop in this day and age
DMX mother was like so many moms that I know. She gave birth to a KING and didn't even know it. She was bitter at his father, herself, and the world and took it out on him. Her age was not an excuse because MY grandma had kids at 15 as well in the hills of Alabama during Jim Crow and birthed 10 boys. She loved each and every one of them and she picked cotton, didn't have running water, no electricity, no car, just a dirt road and cotton fields for mile and miles BUT she loved and nurtured her kids. I wish DMX could have stayed with his grandma or was given a mother like my grandma. He deserved so much more. May he Rest in Power.
Yes that is why the black community needs to get better love your children and don't have children until you Can afford them don't give anybody kids, get to know the person you having children one night stands and having children need to stop

Met DMX in Syracuse, N.Y (signed an autograph for my son at the time), he is so down to earth & the coolest‼️No matter how much money he made, still treated his fans/family with decency 🔥🙏🏾I wish him GODSPEED🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💯
Facts..met him and his entourage in Detroit at a Subway I worked at back when and then there was X dropped and he was on tour and had a show up the block at Fox Theater... Dude was hella cool, laid back , humble, cracking jokes and ish... He was shorter than I thought he was in person though lol

When DMX mentioned how his mom left him at the group home I felt every hurt and pain in his voice 😔😭
These were my guys back in the day. DMX, Drag-On, Eve, LOX, Swizz and the rest of the gang. Now matter what, they’ll always be my favourites.
Cant forget bout cass

Cassidy wasn't necessarily on Ruff Ryders.
DMX and Drag-On Yessss
Cass was more attention of Los I think wouldn't say he was an original ruff Ryder. Drag was always my favorite tho
DMX story reminds of a lot of young black men growing up in single parent homes. This is a problem our community must address and fix glad this brother made something out his life. Also I can’t believe Wendy Williams would do that unbelievable. BET keep it going y’all about to get your original audience and subscribers back with these chronicles keep it coming!!!

"there's always a gift in every bad situation you just have to be strong enough to be willing to look for it" - DMX, Quote of a great
His mother clearly won the "Worst Mother" Award over and over again. Shameful how bad parents can severely traumatize a child like this and create adults who suffer throughout their lives. It's no wonder he has struggled so long with drugs.
Yup putting nothing but anger and all types of emotions in him smh. R.I.P DMX love you 4 life.
No more pain DMX you can finally find peace we ❤️ you always
Since you know so much your honor, what were his mother’s struggles?
@Mitchell Bliss A what point in your life you break the generation curse. Because honey.. there are plenty of moms and dads out there who knew only one way... And when they had kids they became a better way...
And his hearts so big he still loved her...he never got over the pain may he rest in paradise 🙏
You can tell that the music moves through DMX.... He is not just rapping. He is processing his gift!!!!

Always felt DMX deserved a movie, his behind the music was so sad. He's been through the wildest parts of life. Abuse, neglect, addiction, fame and success. What a life. I hope more people learn his story, you'll understand why he became the way he is. Listen to slipping if you have the time.
Rest In Peace Darkman X. Thank you for the love, and all the joy you brought to our world. Finally you can rest.
Yep it was heart breaking. His mother was horrible and the women who loved him the most was his grandma. I feel the mans pain when he talks about his trauma
@@carolinachickfrombrooklyn664 I’m happy he at least got love from his grandma in his life. His father being gone and his mom being abusive really messed him up. He’s still such a kind soul despite it. 😢

As amazing as DMX music is. I wish I could give it all back and never had heard it. In order for him to have had a good childhood. . . That's just too much pain for one man, let alone CHILD to endure.
Right What a sweet thing to say. He was in severe pain. Money and fame can't buy happiness or a family.
yeah same here foreal i wish we could give it all back so he couldve had a more peaceful life
God’s purpose for him was far greater which is why we went through all that he did. Everything in life happens for a reason. There is always good in the bad you just have to find it.

Dmx will always and forever be legend in hip hop✊
The Dean brothers are solid. Just serious brothers. They took their family structure to the streets and eventually the music business.
And Everyone Who's Trying To Get In Or Build A Business Could Learn A Little Bit From Each Story.
The most important thing tod at is that DMX is still alive!!!...a living legend
Sheesh. I want to give him a long hug. For real.
