(I closed a pocket door and a H U G E one was just chilling on the door, inches from my face… and then suddenly I teleported to the other side of the kitchen. Or at least that’s what my brain says happened, because there’s no possible way I moved that fast otherwise.) I am very happy to admire spider cheetahs from a far, far distance.
I’ll Say it… I can’t STAND these (mostly girls) who are using this new trend with tarantulas putting them on their heads, etc to get likes. It literally makes me wanna punch someone in the face. A lot of these WERE very hard to watch. I don’t think anyone should be handling tarantulas unless it’s an emergency. I get SOOOOO angry. I don’t personally have tiktok or IG and I really dont use my Facebook much, and I’m kinda glad lol people ask me all the time if I pick up my tarantulas and I say every time no and I never will. It’s not because I’m scared for me, I’m scared for them. I’m still a newbie but I try to educate people as best I can whenever I can. Like you said. DO. BETTER.
The regalis vid is cute. I have a pair of gooties myself. I would not normally handle them but I have for rehousing. Keep it calm, warm up the hands prior and obviously check on their mood before hand. I just don't want to squish their legs in a catch cup or anything by accident! But again also respectful of the creatures we keep and not just flat out pushing them all over your damn face like.
The end of this video made me laugh so hard 🤣 I really appreciate how you said think about the tarantulas and how you dont like when people use them to get attention and it seems like they dont care ! It's clear to me you care very much and honestly it makes this video, among others, much more enjoyable !! Loved the change of pace too ! Keep up the awesome work ! 👍
I find tarantulas moulting really creepy for some reason. I couldn't watch the whole video that video of them putting a tarantula into a tube and then the 2 guys blowing at was too much for me. It's disgusting how some people treat their pets. Those kind of people are why I agree with new laws being introduced that prevent exotic animals like tarantulas being sold.
I'm glad you reacted to jaysprehistoric pets, personally I'm not a fan of his mainly for his treatment of his tarantulas, he will put them in his mouth and also on people's faces just for clicks and views. I found it sad because I would have thought someone like himself who is an animal lover would treat them better, its the sheer lack of safety for his T's that made me unsub from him. I just hope he doesn't end up killing one of them just for the sake of making a video. Just thought I would add this edit.. just because I'm not a fan of Jay's doesn't mean I think he is a bad person or doesn't care for his animals, I just think its important to teach safe handling and to show the respect that they deserve.
I looked that one up on tiktok that looked like he cut the tarantula, and he said he does that to figure out the sex. He said he doesn’t hurt them, but I thought you always figure out the sex by looking at their Molts! That looked so stressful for the spider!
He is checking vents, it's actually a very quick and effective way to vent sex and does not harm the tarantula at all. Crazy how many people thought he was cutting it🤦🏼♂️
It’s not a common technique so I think it’s perfectly acceptable for many people to think he was harming the tarantula. I was shocked and confused myself!

I think the word you were looking for is props people using animals in this case a tanrantula as props to get views i just think it's stupid ingnorant and in some instant animal cruelty..i do love the one with the 2 family of huntsman in the child's room lol. Aram is my boy and has the utmost respect and admiration for his spoods, he's been tagged by his adult female P. Met so he knows wat is capable of happening, when he got tagged by her he didn't even react like most would and fling the spood across the room he just didn't even react at all he simply ended the live calmly and gathered her up back into her enclosure so I promise you he knows wat hes doing and has never harmed a spood by handling
