We had the same issue about 5 years ago with the strip dominator and my sons 406 with AFR 220 comps!
Sent it back and got a brodix single problem solved!
    Great video!

I hadn't seen that casting before. Now I can see why that would be an issue.

Damn the runner change is the one I wanted to see the most. I’m a welder by trade thinking about it. Great videos. You share a lot of information.

I'm a Lord they cracks me up in my own mind. I'm at my buddy shop at his house today and we were looking at three Victor Jr small block Chevy 23° head manifolds hanging on the wall 😂. If I would have seen the video a couple days ago with the shift one to you like right now

I was just watching this episode again. I like what you did with the epoxy in the turttlecane intake. I would have tried it too. It will be interesting. But with some stuff I have done recently. I would lean toward it being worse. My hunch is it will loose about 15 average from 4000 up.
Your doing us all a huge service.
    Thank you!

Yeah! One inch open spacer testing on the dual planes. Plenty of chatter (SpeedTalk) about how the 1" transforms the dual plane into a kind of best of both worlds. Looking forward to that. Thanks Mr W.

I do believe they still make quik steel. The stuff is impressive. Years ago now but fixed an oil pan full of oil on a dozer where a hydraulic line rubbed through the pan. It was i wanna say 0 to 10°F in the morning. Had something to clean the pan then quickly shoved the quik steel on it so the oil wouldn't be everywhere and had a torch to keep it warm enough to cure. Then used the dozer same day and for years after

I used the quick steel to fill a crack in a transfer case drain plug, explorer has issue where they’d crack at the drain plug threads. It worked for me.

It would be great to see all these manifolds on the dyno mule after the heads are fully ported. It would be interesting to see which manifolds work better with stock heads and which manifolds work better with ported heads. I'll bet there are some dramatic differences. Thanks for sharing!

I know some of them will be on the engine after the heads are ported.

Last week I got a nice low version Holley strip dominator “1986” winters foundry , was gonna swap out my Vic jr on 355 sbc running 6.80s to see if the “straightened runners” help , it’s HEAVY

I don't think milling the divider on the rpm is going to make much of a difference than the test before. You ran it with the open spacer before, so isn't that basically the same as milling the divider?

If you were able to use the test mule engine in the engine masters, how would it compare to the actual engine that you ran in the engine masters? ( how would it score in comparison?)

    • @WeingartnerRacing
      @WeingartnerRacing  Рік тому +1

It would suck. It doesn't make enough torque at the hit and even at the end of the pull its weak on power compared to what we were doing. Just to give you an idea on the same dyno the engine that I did that finished 6th was a 11.5 compression 406 it made 570tq and 622hp but made 477ft lbs of torque at 2500rpm. The mule is no where near that.

I wish I could find my old Offy Dial-a-flow manifold. I would send it to you to test. That manifold ran great on my 377 sbc in my vega.
