SO happy someone put together a ""startup meta" for online lobbies, it's what made red dead online playable with friends. now you can whitelist your lobbies extremely easily.
The thing about the "Facts and Glitches" series is that even though number-wise it has a lot more glitches, it's things people actively hunt for to send Matt, and often require strange setups that the common player wouldn't, or would rarely encounter in normally gameplay. Online it's just glitches everywhere...It just doesn't work. Instead of searching for glitches, you have to spend time searching for ways to avoid the glitches just so you can actually play the game.
I literally can't understand how the fuck I managed to play 500 hours of this crap without going insane. It's the worst game I have ever played and I'm not exaggerating.
@@nukulator I believe you! I personally only played for like an hour, because my friends play console, so I set mine up just to game with them for a bit. I somehow managed to avoid most of this nonsense, but then again, all we did was drive around crashing into things.
good thing I stayed with single player and called it a day. it's like I smelled online is gonna be bad.

yesterday on public session, that one modder teleports all players to vespucci beach, with a cutscene of us waking up, lined up in a row, then activates explosion mod. and repeat for 5 times.
11/10 experience.
My first GTA Online experience was being repeatedly teleported to the airport where 2 players were flying planes around dropping money bags and some form of explosives.
I didn't play again for about a week.
This is very normal.
And this is why you need mods to desactivate tp to some location etc...

happened to me a few times, one time i got the intro to the fucking casino heist.
Other times i'd be vibing in the lobby and a modder just decides "aight we going to cayo perico"
other times we'd be teleported to an apartment then kicked out, lined up for execution, never have i ever switched to passive so quick before.
You choose to play GTA-O on PC; you get exactly what you asked for.
At least 10.

The thing that still causes me immense pain is the fact that in order to get custom license plates, you need to use the mobile app, which would be annoying, but sure, it works. Thing is, the app crashes on launch, every single time, for 2 years
If you have a set of the newer wheels applied on your recently used vehicles the app crashes. This would be a relatively easy thing to fix, but Rockstar still hasn't bothered for several years.
Probably don't want to spend time fixing it because nobody uses it once they get the plates they want
That being said, hopefully it won't require an app when GTA 6 comes out
The thing with the app is it only works on older model phones as anything 2021 and up doesn't support the app anymore. Hence the crashing.
Also the only reason you need custom plates from the app is for duping, No normal person used the app for just a plate any.ore since there's so many better ways to get plates you want without the restrictions of what you can and cannot put.
(And if you just want a plate to have a custom plate, Your dumb out of luck. You waited too long to take advantage of that feature. The game is 9 years old. You should have done it sooner.

At this point, there are so many good ways to make money solo/with small group of friends that you only have yourself to blame if that's a problem. I'd rather stick my dick in a toaster than play with randoms.

I think it's a bug. In my experience, if your first shot is a headshot they simply die. However, if your first shot doesn't hit their head, they become immune to headshots
@@time_keeper643 Very late response but from my expirence if you let them stand up all the way up they are vunureable to headshots again.

@@time_keeper643 I think on Doomsday hard it's actually faster to let them stand up but I've never bother to count. Also waiting for them to stand up reduces your expousure time a lot. So i only keep shoting when no other npcs has a sight line as you can get killed easily that way.
Edit: I just realised it also might depend on our weapon of choice. I used high fire rate, high prescision AR with low damage to easily score headshots but if you used something with higher base damage it might have been easier to finish them off on the ground,.
So one day, I logged in, did all my daily stuff while solo grinding for a few hours, and as I was logging off, something felt... wrong. It wasn't until about 10 mins later that I realized from what that feeling came from. It was because the game hadn't glitched seriously or crashed in those few hours.

Hello and welcome to another episode of my facts and glitches series. Where I continue to showcase some more of what I have learned about GTA Online in my over 9500 hours from speedrunning the game, and from my awesome viewers

It's funny because depending on when this was filmed there actually are cougars in online (that one was a modder though lol)
After watching this, I still can't imagine how I and my college friends enjoys this game every night back then. It literally needs half an hour to wait for everyone to join the session, and another half an hour to join the heist. And many many half an hours if somebody disconnected. Maybe my 1000 hours of playtime equal to 700 hours of waiting and 300 hours of playing.
OG heists were some of the most fun and also most frustrating moments I've experienced in gaming
@@cooper_gaming8154 Ah yes, I remember when we stuck on that prison heist. We don't have any voice chat back then, every comm using in-game chat. It's hard to coordinate and by the time we almost succeed, someone dc.
@@alandiesprana8128 i remember doing the Convoy setup. Me and my friends were stuck on that for like 2 weeks because we kept messing around and crashing into each other. We had many fights and arguments throughout all of the heists but my god was it fun
Half the issue for me was explaining I was encountering a bug when other people weren't experiencing it. It literally appeared to people that I was insane and hallucinating things. I did play the game drunk and stoned quite a bit, but I never once hallucinated anything in game because of it. I tried to prove it to people but they just laughed at me. I tried to ignore it and let the other person do the thingy so we could just move on, joyous it was just that and we could go to the next part ONLY for the next thing to fuck up on us or people lag out and then only I was left stuck there, wishing I could just speendrum my way through it, but I am not DarkViper. You NEED to be at full power meaning you need at least 3 people in total most of the time if not a full squad, just in case. I still played because it was fun and thinking back, I had some of the best times of my life playing this game with other people. The heists and the adrenaline, doing the criminal master minds (some of it) and some of the Dooms Days shit. Oh man. I can say with pride and dignity that when I look back, I fucking loved playing the online content and side missions overall for what it was and what it was worth, A LOT of time and effort and energy wasted, but it was very enjoyable. I met some of the best kinds of people and the worst kinds. Never though did I have a direct encounter with a modder or hacker that I knew of like went on a in game cruise with them or something and hung out. NO, it was only the frustrating crap that the online came with, bugs, glitches and asshole modders indirectly fucking with us. I didn't see the time-of-day change, or money rain, nor did I see flying cars that aren't supposed to fly. I wasn't THAT unlucky it would seem, only lucky enough to be on console and still play a very poorly programmed video game. IF you can even call it a video game.
I had a whole RP for my character, and I spent so much time on her, making her outfit and "lore" and her contacts. So when the eye contacts question came up in the last Higher or Lower I had some kind of context behind that. The Undead contacts are fairly expensive early game. (Before I got to lvl 100 and then some change can't remember how much though. Between 110 and 130 perhaps.) I spent time making her into a Vampire Motorcycle Chick. That was my gimmick. I had the Shotaro, (I won it I believe from the wheel at the casino) and the Pegasi Batai 801 as my two favs, with the Oppressor MK II being my only other flying transportation that was passably faster than most of my land bikes until I bought the Delorian. After getting enough to purchase the Mobile Transport so I could upgrade my flying things with better guns. Luckily most of the cars I had were for free because of the Criminal Enterprise Pack that's how I was able to help make by Biker Chick in the first place. The cheapest place was the Biker Club House, and the cheapest bike was the Batai 801. I didn't care for the Zombie I had I wanted a fast and cheap bike not a Car Meet Bike. I remember the whole update for Arena Wars, I grinded the shit out of that and that also helped along the way of my time with the online content. I hated the grind, but I very much so did enjoy myself even if I had to force myself to. I would not have it any other way. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would not change much of anything at all except for the efficacy or at least try for, of the grind and sessions I was doing.
Ah yes Host Advantage, why I experienced bugs and others did not. So, when I was host and people said something was happening, I took it upon myself to just do the same thing everyone else does and say "I don't know what you are talking about, bro. You're just seeing things that aren't there." The races BTW were the worst part of the online content DNF was every RACE, truly rigged.
I love the glitch I've seen in some of the minigame modes, where one player will have all their weapons. Which really is great when in a Sniper vs stunt style match, and sniper has minigun...

I just came across a new one I think, when you find one of the perico guards sleeping on the side walk if you have the police they can shoot him and I think he'll walk around like a normal person after being shot

I think the only reason I've had reliably non glitchy experiences with GTA online is because I used to rely on solo public lobby exploits and now I just play friend only lobbies.
Even in a private match I'm sure if you're connected with people who aren't in the same geographical location as you, there's bound to be more noticeable glitches as the netcode barely manages to handle your game. That's just a guess though, since I'm not well versed in the inner functionality of the games netcode.
The fact that someone reverse engineered the netcode on connecting to a session and found a major bug basically that extended loading times by ALOT tells you everything... if I remember correctly though, Rockstar implemented that fix he suggested actually.

Even though I avidly play GTA Online and frequently encounter many of these, this still causes me immense pain to watch
I almost never encounter modders, since before they added the ability to do everything in solo lobbies (which is the only way I play anymore), I forced solo public lobbies by freezing the process. The bugs though? Only way to avoid those is to not play.

As someone who plays GTA Online daily to make clips, it is painful sometimes. I can list a few things of what I experience:
-modders;
-crashes;
-infinite loading screens;
-you've been kicked from the session (after 30 seconds of being AFK), return to Grand Theft Auto V;
-the session failed to load, return to Grand Theft Auto V;
-matchmaking is terrible. Waiting for 10 minutes to find an 8 people lobby shouldn't be a thing ever;
-and much more.

I've been replaying GTA V story in first person so I decided to log into online and get that 1 time panther statue "bonus". I spent 2.5 hours doing it because i got the absolute worst possible missions, experienced infinite loading bug twice and a few modders. After that I just kinda thought to myself "I literally didn't enjoy even 1 second out of tihs. Even when I got the money, I was so annoyed I just wanted to go back to my GTA V story reply".

in gta online if you step on a dead NPC's gun there's a chance it will fire and instantly kill you it happened to me multiple times while playing missions and in free roam

Hi Matt, I had an video idea for quite a while now about guessing chracters age's from GTA 5 Story and maybe Online. For example there would be a character on your screen and you and chat would have to guess the age of that character. After that, you would click on the screen and the correct age would pop up on the screen. You could add this to your list of video ideas and maybe do it in the future. Anyway, I hope you're doing well despite of your hard times and if not, I hope things improve for you.

The best error message to get online is when you try to join a friend's session and it says the session doesn't exist. The funny thing with that, is the fact I've tried to join my girlfriend's session, who's sitting two feet from me, and the session apparently doesn't exist, when I can clearly see on her TV that the session, does in fact exist 🤦♂️ The level of Rockstars stupidity is genuinely incredible 😂😂

This happens because both of you share the same IP. Joining someone elses session (=neither of you is host) works in that case, but joining each other won't. Blame cuckstars r*tarded P2P implementation not being able to tell two different computers on the same IP apart i guess...

fun fact, rockstar doesn't even host online sessions on their servers. One person in the server is the server host and their pc is the one running it. Which makes it so much more unsafe.

There's one of two reasons why he said that: He wanted the dial tone to end, or it was just scripted dialogue when he's in a traffic jam.
The amount of rapid fire I got in 1 mission is insane
Lets not forget ur controller disconnects from the game randomly on "Expanded and Enhanced" where the only thing thats expanded and enhanced are the bugs

GTA online is genuenly fun to play, It's just that matt usually gets targeted by modders, so it looks like sh*t, overall the game is nice and functioning, it might have some bugs, but not as much. The loading is annoying but it eventually loads, it never gets stuck on loading unless something gets bugged in job matchmaking.
Nothing is perfect. I don't understand why people are so impatient. Especially someone like Matt that has made a ton of money off playing the game. Don't get me wrong, I love matto, but c'mon, don't bite the hand that feeds you.
From 36:11 if you go frame by frame with , and . you can see the rocket hits the wall, it was shot while you were behind the wall and as you moved the rocket stayed in the same path so it hit the wall even though the cursor and you were well away from the wall
The cougar is still not a glitch. It's the peyote plants, an advertised feature.
I don't think they can get into helicopters though

You can tell that this footage is old b/c rockstar actually DID path something; player attachments. Ex: 5:48 where the modder attached himself to matto, that's now pathced, you cannot attach stuff to other players. It has been patched for a pretty good whole now; I'd say 3 months at least

Speaking of glitches there is a frozen money glitch that has been working for about a month that lets you buy any car you want for free and you can buy deluxos to sell and make like 500 million in an hour

Only way to play GTA Online nowadays is to get your own mod menu to protect yourself. (Kiddion's menu is free)
