Plus an educational cutscene talking about a 14 page document about Jiffy (measurement of time:
Introduction:
Time is a fundamental concept in the modern world, and it plays a crucial role in our daily lives. It is a measure of the duration of events, and it is used to coordinate and synchronize activities. There are many different units of time used for different purposes, ranging from the nanosecond to the century. One such unit of time is the jiffy, which is used in a variety of scientific and technical contexts. In this document, we will explore the concept of the jiffy, its origins, and its modern applications.
Chapter 1: What is a Jiffy?
The term "jiffy" is often used in casual conversation to refer to a short period of time, but in scientific and technical contexts, it has a more precise meaning. The jiffy is defined as the time it takes for light to travel one centimeter in a vacuum, which is approximately 33.3564 picoseconds (ps). This definition was first proposed by Gilbert Newton Lewis, a prominent American chemist, in 1929.
Chapter 2: Origins of the Jiffy
The concept of the jiffy can be traced back to the early 20th century, when physicists and chemists were beginning to study the behavior of atoms and molecules. At the time, there was no standard unit of time that could be used to describe these processes, so scientists began to develop their own units. Gilbert Newton Lewis was one of the first to propose the concept of the jiffy, which he defined as the time it takes for light to travel one centimeter in a vacuum.
Lewis's definition of the jiffy was based on the idea of a fundamental unit of time that could be used to describe the behavior of atoms and molecules. He believed that the jiffy could be used to measure chemical reactions and other processes that occur on a very small scale. However, his definition of the jiffy was not widely adopted at the time, and it was not until many years later that the jiffy became a standard unit of time in certain scientific and technical fields.
Chapter 3: Modern Applications of the Jiffy
Today, the jiffy is used in a variety of scientific and technical contexts, including computer science, electronics, and telecommunications. In computer science, the jiffy is often used as a unit of time for measuring the performance of computer systems. For example, the time it takes for a computer to execute a single instruction can be measured in jiffies.
In electronics and telecommunications, the jiffy is used as a unit of time for measuring the duration of signals. For example, the time it takes for a signal to travel from one point to another in a circuit can be measured in jiffies. The jiffy is also used as a standard unit of time in some operating systems, where it is used to measure the duration of system events and processes.
Chapter 4: Variations of the Jiffy
While the jiffy is typically defined as the time it takes for light to travel one centimeter in a vacuum, there are variations of the jiffy that are used in different contexts. For example, in electronics and telecommunications, the jiffy is often defined as the period of a particular signal, such as a clock signal. In this context, the jiffy is used to synchronize the timing of different components of a circuit.
Another variation of the jiffy is the Planck time, which is the smallest possible unit of time according to current theories of physics. The Planck time is approximately 5.39 x 10^-44 seconds, which is many orders of magnitude smaller than the jiffy. While the Planck time is not used in practical applications, it is of theoretical interest in the study of quantum mechanics and the behavior of subatomic particles.
Chapter 5: Criticisms and Limitations of the Jiffy
While the jiffy has proven to be a useful unit of time in certain scientific and technical contexts, it has also been criticized for its lack of precision and its dependence on the speed of light. Since the speed of light is not constant in all media, the definition of the jiffy can vary depending on the medium in which the light is traveling. This can lead to inconsistencies and errors in measurements that rely on the jiffy.
Additionally, the jiffy is a relatively large unit of time compared to other units used in science and technology, such as the nanosecond or the femtosecond. This can limit its usefulness in certain applications where greater precision is required.
Another limitation of the jiffy is that it is not a standard unit of time in the International System of Units (SI). While the jiffy is widely used in certain scientific and technical fields, it is not recognized as an official unit of time by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures. This can lead to confusion and inconsistency in scientific communication and collaboration.
Chapter 6: Conclusion
In conclusion, the jiffy is a unit of time that has its origins in the study of atoms and molecules in the early 20th century. While it is not a standard unit of time in the International System of Units, it is widely used in certain scientific and technical fields, particularly in computer science, electronics, and telecommunications. While the jiffy has proven to be a useful unit of time in these contexts, it has also been subject to criticisms and limitations due to its lack of precision and its dependence on the speed of light. As technology continues to evolve and new scientific discoveries are made, it is possible that new units of time will be developed that are better suited to the demands of modern science and technology.
Chapter 7: Further Developments in Time Measurement
As technology continues to advance, new units of time may be developed that are better suited to the demands of modern science and technology. In recent years, there has been increasing interest in developing ultrafast lasers and other technologies that can measure time on a scale of attoseconds (10^-18 seconds) or even zeptoseconds (10^-21 seconds). These technologies may have applications in fields such as materials science, chemistry, and biology, where it is important to study the behavior of atoms and molecules on extremely short timescales.
Chapter 8: Jiffies in Popular Culture
While the jiffy is primarily used in scientific and technical contexts, it has also made its way into popular culture. In the world of computing, the term "jiffy" is often used to refer to the period of one system clock tick, which can vary depending on the operating system and hardware being used. In the field of animation, a "jiffy" is sometimes used to refer to the duration of one frame of animation, which can vary depending on the frame rate and other factors.
Chapter 9: Jiffies in Fiction
The jiffy has also made appearances in works of fiction. In Douglas Adams' science fiction series "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," the character Ford Prefect is said to have invented a time measurement unit called the "Ford Prefect second," which is defined as "the amount of time thatelapses between a traffic light turning green and the driver behind you honking their horn." While this is clearly a humorous take on the concept of time measurement, it highlights the way in which time has become a fundamental and ubiquitous concept in modern society.
Chapter 10: Future of Time Measurement
As technology continues to evolve, it is likely that new units of time will be developed that are better suited to the demands of modern science and technology. The development of ultrafast lasers and other technologies that can measure time on a scale of attoseconds or even zeptoseconds is just one example of this trend. It is also possible that new discoveries in physics and other fields will lead to the development of entirely new units of time that are not currently recognized.
Chapter 11: Conclusion
In conclusion, the jiffy is a unit of time that has played an important role in scientific and technical fields for nearly a century. While it has proven to be a useful unit of time in certain contexts, it has also been subject to criticisms and limitations due to its lack of precision and its dependence on the speed of light. As technology continues to advance and new scientific discoveries are made, it is likely that new units of time will be developed that are better suited to the demands of modern science and technology.
Chapter 12: Final Thoughts
Time is a fundamental concept that underlies much of modern society, and the development of units of time like the jiffy has played an important role in advancing scientific and technological progress. However, as our understanding of the universe continues to grow, it is possible that our current units of time will become obsolete or inadequate for describing the phenomena we observe. The search for new units of time that can accurately describe the behavior of atoms and subatomic particles is ongoing, and it is likely that our understanding of time will continue to evolve in the coming years and decades.
Despite the limitations of the jiffy, it remains an important unit of time in certain fields of science and technology. Its use in measuring the performance of computer systems and the duration of signals in electronics and telecommunications highlights its continued relevance in the modern world. As we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of science and technology, it is important to remain mindful of the role that time plays in our lives and to continue searching for new and better ways to measure and understand this fundamental concept.) would benice as well
That’s our current timeline though?

They aren't just rebranded contact missions, they are rebranded Trevor story missions and contact missions. Seeing how Trevor is nowhere to be seen and his voice actor Steven Ogg's not-so-recent jabs against playing Trevor I am worried but not surprised if Rockstar is trying to turn Neckbeard into the new Trevor.
41:46 I was trying to figure out why the second half of this video seemed so familiar to me, then I saw my donation and remembered I actually saw this stream lmao
I believe Mister "Los Santos Time Baby" is indeed voiced by Steven Ogg, and that, hypothetically, Rockstar rewrote the character for him to voice someone else entirely as Steven is apparently becoming quite tired of being typecast as Trevor as of late, particularly over Cameo. What do ya'll think?
The nervous Ron lines feel out of context like they had been repurposed from old leftover material. My best guess is that they used some leftover Trevor motion capture and a vo actor redubbed it. The speaking rhythm is 💯 Trevor, but the voice sounds 20 years younger than Steven Ogg.

Matto has practiced 10 000 hours for these single player copy missions
Sometimes I wonder how much of Online was planned out way before they actually developed any of the major updates. Things like Bikers going into a Trevor update made sense, yet we got this instead years later; which looks to be spinning off into a future Friedlander update depending on how much longer 5's online has, possibly with another map extension given the escape to South America, a tie-in with Rubio makes some amount of sense here as well. There's a lineage of Nightclub > Cayo > Contract, which was the Franklin update. There's potential for Arena War to tie into a Michael update, given the themes involved with AW and given that Michael moves on to become a producer. Criminal Enterprises brought back some of Doomsday, among other small connections between various updates. I just wonder if early on there was some plan to tie years of updates together in a cohesive way while making everything also feel independent, but a lot of that was lost in mission design, writing, delays, release schedule, etc., which eventually led to tons of reuse (interiors, missions, etc.), lack of cohesiveness overall, and just braindead decisions.
If this is the case, it might contribute to why 6 has taken a decade, and what we might have to expect from it.

GTAO really feels like someone is just recycling GTA V with a Saints Row paint to it but they can't tell what made the first two Saints Row games good and so it's just absurd, and loud, with random cameo appearances of characters
This DLC was obviously meant for Trevor and Wade and all those characters. Dax is clearly a cheap stand-in for Trevor as Steven Ogg is off on an ego-trip thinking he is bigger than a mere video game character. Wade was the link to Juggalos in the first place, and not having him in is an odd choice.
Some people like there whole carrer being defined by one character. Others don't. For us GTA Fans it's certainly crazy that someone wouldn't want to be known as Trevor's Actor since the Rolle and the Game are so iconic but that's for him to decide not us.
I think This game being so big, and his character being so iconic almost ruined his career in a way. I think it happens to a lot of relatively obscure actors that
Take on these iconic roles that millions of people love, quote at them and only know them for. They just become known as the “GTA guy” and Hollywood begins to typecast, and the fans only gaf about him bc they only see him as “Trevor irl”, and maybe he wanted to be more than “Trevor irl”. I understand his frustration, just sucks he’s so salty they had to write him out of what was supposed his own dlc bc he doesn’t wanna be Trevor anymore. Add him to this list of dissatisfied rockstar games voice actors who will never return to reprise their roles.
*my two cents*
Once I was watching a Lamar’s VA livestream and he got real for a moment and disclosed that Rockstar doesn't even pay that well in the first place, it also doesn't really open many doors to other gigs.
I think the other comment summarized perfectly. After a whole decade, why would you still be invested into replaying a character that got so successful, a lot of people (including the ones that can give you new roles) physically can't see you play anything else other than that? It’s like what happened to the people who played Harry Potter, Frodo, Spiderman, etc. Sometimes being so successful in one thing can mean that anything else you try might be underwhelming to those you gathered in the first place.
Afterall, you wouldn’t want to be that person who still clings as hard as possible to their successful past, like 95% of the cast of The Office.

Imo, its perfectly fine, I honestly wish it was longer the missions are really fun, especially the one where you get drugged (for like the 30th time in these missions) by the main villian (wouldnt want to spoil the surprise even though most of y'all probably know it, might even be shown in this video idk) and eventually have to fight yourself, it was genuinely fun im not sure why people acted like rockstar shot their dog when these quests release when there are a lot bigger issues in gta online, kinda reminds me of bloodmoney in RDO, it wasnt nearly as big as we'd expected and I also wish it was bigger and better than just a few contact\stranger missions, but they are fun enough and you can get some enjoyment out of them (and they're maybe even good for newer players)
Like the only issue I agree with is how they reused single player missions multiple times and tbh no amount of "oooh your character gets out of a differently shaped plane that they crashed into an identical cargo plane, that makes the missions entirely original" will change that lol
0:35 - Of course I know who that guy is, he's the dude from GTA Guesser

Edit; watch the video before commenting. He literally said the same thing just 20 seconds later...
Yeah it’s the same building
Jesus Christ, you guys makes me feel completely off my rocker for actually kind of liking this DLC.
Oh I loved it and felt off my meds seeing everyone hate it
24:48 you know who else says "friendo"? MatPat, host of Game Theory. When are you two doing a collab?
2:21 "Are we about to relive the mission from sibgle player?"
Famous last words, especially for this DLC
11:57 FLCL: Progressive moment "It's two wheels against four wheels"
27:29 🤣🤣💀!
@ 27:35 you can see a man about to lose his mind.
The actual missions and the new business with the Acid lab weren't bad. It was all the other shit around it with god awful drip feed and lackluster weeklies in-between.
Exactly. Acid Lab is actually a pretty good money maker and more missions are always welcome. The trippy stuff is awesome.
