I think possible reason on why the car doesn't turn off when you're near cops is because you're in combat mode, which probably affects how fast you can get in or out of the car
The car's engine staying on when you get out is related to combat stance. Your character has a timer for their combat stance to go away when you stop combat. If you get in and out of a car during that timer, the engine stays on. I cant tell you why they chose that behavior.

1:15 I've been practising this from the beginning of online on ps3 back in 2013-2014. Basically, that's the drifting technique physics in GTA, it works on all cars that are "slippery" also you can hear it by the sound of the car because even if you have hundreds of cars there only dozens of different motor sounds and physics, you can do this drifting skill technique with (I will take OG cars as example, Muscle : Dominator, Sport : Feltzer, Super : Bullet GT.) It's not only working when your car touches the ground going down but also when you let your car going slippery after a rough turn, you let her do her rough turn and when you feel her stabilised, you push, once, twice or 3 times the handbrakes fast, without holding, and you will hear and feel your motor go crasy and can get you from 2 to 5-6th speed directly, you will here a vrooovroovrooom and your car will get an extra speed it will be even very difficult to hold her in the same direction if you didn't stabilised her before hitting the hand brake (X on PS4 for me, cuz I didn't change the option of X on ps3 by habitude.) It takes time to practice and works on different cars differently (1-2-3 times push handbrakes depending on the car motor and the way you did the slippery roughl turn) somehow it doesn't work on any car cuz of GTA physics, (muscle Dominator GTX, Sports Elegy RH8 or Super Entity XF, when you hit the handbrakes button after a rought turn even if you stabilise your car, it gets the car speed worse. Braking to the 1st speed. P.S. the most difficult car with drifting skills needed and the most hated by the average players is the RT3000 drifting god !. So difficult to stabilise her after the rough turn but when you hit handbrakes button and feel this speed increase you get a driving org@sm. Drive well kids, even if rockstar are not the best racing game you have so much to learn, peace 👌
Tapping the aim button also cancels the animation of removing your parachute bag, which means you won't be slowed down by the animation and can take off running sooner. IDK how known this is, but it's something I discovered myself back on 360 and it still works to this day. (I use this in Online so I actually have no idea if it works in story mode, but I don't see why it wouldn't)
I think the brake boosting is how the modeled the virtual gear box, when u brake just before the elevation change the car gears down and when you combine this with a small drop the revs shoot up to the max because your wheels are in the air giving you a bit of speed
I love these videos because I love trying to figure out what weird way the devs coded the game, and why they decided to do it that way. It's funny, and they came up with some very unique ways to solve certain problems.
2:42. Honestly this makes sense. Michael has a pool and doesnt really work so he probably swims a decent amount at least over the last few years he was in retirement, also he owns a boat so it makes sense he would be good with boats. Trevor lives in the desert (granted there is a lake like 2 minutes from his home) and probably never owned a pool in his life. As for Franklin I would make some joke but I would prefer not being hunted to the ends of the earth by people who dont know what a joke is.
Michael didnt use the boat tho, he was just looking at it at the pier. Hes also really out of shape. I think they did that because Michael is the only character to have water missions (Daddy's Little Girl and Monkey Business) while also being the only one to use boats in one of his properties that can be bought, while the other characters only have a little part of a mission on water (the one where they buy cocaine)
None of that make any sense if you think about it a little. How does being a good boat driver make the boat go faster? Does it somehow magically make the engine run hotter or conjure new fast gears into the gearbox similar to 2F2F? How is that logical? Also, Michael is by far the least fit of the trio, so I cannot see any logic in him being the fastest swimmer. Further considering his swimming pool is a size of a bath tub and nowhere near sufficiently spacious to train fast swimming techniques.
14:45 I believe this might be due to how GTAIV races played out... once you're in first, you stay there. The AI wasn't able to catch up, even if the cars were faster and the track was straight. If you drove well enough, you'd evade them all.

@@nissansucc5486 Yes, factually speaking, it is still faster in wheelie. If you go over a bump or something that gives it enough of a bump to pull a wheelie, it goes faster than in leaning forward. It is simply less practical.
The mid drive speed glitch or double clutching can be done at higher speeds and gears. It evolves the same button combination. However it's extremely difficult to do. You have to be more precise with your timing. Also it works best on the highway and right after switching gears. Note HSW vehicles are best for this. Especially the Vigero ZX or the 2017/2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. The Weaponized Ignus or the 2020 Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 are the 2 of the best vehicles to do this with in my opinion. I will be testing more HSW vehicles with this. Thanks for uploading this DarkViperAU. There are some things in here that I had no idea how to do.
5:12 It's been a long while since I last played, but I remember double tapping the button to exit vehicles also leaves the engine and radio running. I also remember it leaving the door open or letting you exit the cars quicker? Maybe I'm just misremembering stuff.
Your videos got me back into GTAV on PS5, and I was trying to use the trick where aiming a gun stops you falling downhill, but I couldn't get it to work on PS5. I was aiming a pistol and Michael would still stumble despite my aiming down the sights.
I'm most surprised to learn that not only does GTA V have front, rear, and all wheel drive vehicles, but it also has a gear system. I've never once noticed that in the game.
Wait til you hear how Wheels, Spoilers and Suspension all effect the cars quite a bit too. Almost every other upgrade (bumper/hood/roof/side skirts) change the centre of gravity slightly. Basically unnoticeable though unless you’re an incredibly dedicated racer.
@@TheCSJY Wheels is just speculation since any data out there is based on how someone felt about them. There is no quantitative data on it. Except for vehicles that clip, where off-roads provide a smoother drive.
Most vehicles these days are AWD though since kids complain that RWD is too hard to drive so most RWD and FWD cars you'll see are either launch vehicles or really old vehicles, new vehicles are basically always AWD even if their IRL counterpart isn't, you can actually feel the steering difference in FWD quite a lot (Karin vehicles tens to be FWD) but AWD and RWD feel quite similar in my opinion, probably slight differences in launching and sliding though, oh and you can't brakeboost in FWD cars (theoretically you can but it's like frame perfect)

8:48 I’m pretty sure it works because taking cover makes the animation of opening the phone come back. As you’ve said before, the only way-at the time-to do this in online is to have the pulling out your phone animation/glitch.
I don’t play GTA5 often anymore and never online, but something about talking about movement in a game is some of my favorite type of video game content.
2:57 Michael being faster in water makes a wacky kind of sense, since he’s the only one to canonically own a boat. The others show no affinity towards water at all.
great and interesting video with some info that I hadn't known before. Only suggestion I would make is to have a template for where the different characters are in the shots where you have all three on screen. That way you don't have situations such as with the running speed with tab movement you are talking about franklin, but in one shot he is on the left and in the next one he is on the right.
There is a glitch/method to enable the story mode phone holding animation in online which means you can perform the glitch the same way you would in story mode. I have used this to warp literally across the map from Paleto to the docks. I don't think it works on Series X version, I couldn't get the game to allow me to load into job creator from story mode. These steps may be a bit off, I haven't done this in a while. I would credit, but I completely forget who it was who discovered this, I can't find her video again. (EDIT: It was Sarah Digitally) 1. Be in story mode (any character) 2. Switch to first person 3. Launch Rockstar job creator from the Online tab (where you would make a race) 4. Load into a race (must meet minimum requirements to test race) 5. If the default online player that you spawn into the test as is the same gender as your online character, continue to next step. If not, exit test and re-enter test until it is. 6. Switch to first person 7. Pause, go to Online and load into a session If it worked, when you open your phone your character should hold it out just like story mode. I guess maybe this is the method they patched?
2:42 the reason why this happens Is because he Is motivated because he lost his boat, So he decide to be the boat (More like a whale because of have fat he Is)
Just a little addition to the bike speed boosts, some bikes benefit more from leaning forward rather than popping a wheelie such as the Hakuchou Drag and Shotaro
Isn't that just because they physically have trouble pulling a wheelie due to their long shape? I am quite sure if you can manage to wheelie them (which sometimes is briefly possible over bumps) they will actually go faster than in leaning forward. Of course, especially for these bikes, leaning forward is a lot more practical.
@-10 they go extremely fast, its actually fast enough to flip from power. If you get the front wheel past 30° for long enough the power seems to glitch like crazy after a couple seconds. I've done freemode speed challenges where it jumped up a easy 100kph in speed but it can't maintain it for too long
2:27 “it can’t be done with front wheel drive” this is incorrect. You can in fact do this with front wheel drive vehicles, providing the vehicle doesn’t have AHFs enabled.
Speaking of things being broken, this video was too much for my gaming laptop to handle, it literally crashed halfway through!🤯😂 But yeah, some VERY interesting things there indeed, and whilst there's a lot of stuff I've already known about through your Facts and Glitches series of videos, there's so much more things presented here, and it's always crazy seeing the buffered ledge grab put to use, especially the way you used those vehicles in GTA Online to warp from one end of the map to the other in an instant!🤯👍👏
When doing the buffered ledge grab in online I don't get teleported back unless I don't open snapmatic after getting out of cover. I've been trying for almost an hour but I couldn't get it working. I have distance scaling maxed out and I get 55-60fps on average. Nevermind, I have figured it out: For anyone having the same problem, you must let go of any movement key when inside snapmatic.

No because if you keep shooting inside the car you will have combat mode when you exit but the car's engine Wil still turn off
@@welheizel9682 Theres a different stance for in-vehicle combat. It doesnt overwrite the on-foot combat stance unless you trigger the in-vehicle one by shooting. Otherwise it will maintain the on-foot stance even while in the vehicle until the timer runs out.
I’m glad Franklin runs faster it makes the game more realistic

12:55 "Yeah, no shi- oh."
what a well made video, didnt see any flaws and everything was explained in great detail. Love your personality man! keep it up
I think the brake boosting is how the modeled the virtual gear box, when u brake just before the elevation change the car gears down and when you combine this with a small drop the revs shoot up to the max because your wheels are in the air giving you a bit of speed
I love these videos because I love trying to figure out what weird way the devs coded the game, and why they decided to do it that way. It's funny, and they came up with some very unique ways to solve certain problems.

9:45 That reverse parachuting is a pretty sweet way to get around

As a note, The Shibuya Hakuchou Drag is the only Bike where leaning forward is actually better than leaning back.
Isn't that because the hakuchou drag cant pull up fully for a wheelie?
@@nissansucc5486yes, if you catch air time and wheelie for some seconds speed goes crazy
Maybe I'm just misremembering stuff.
false
Your videos got me back into GTAV on PS5, and I was trying to use the trick where aiming a gun stops you falling downhill, but I couldn't get it to work on PS5. I was aiming a pistol and Michael would still stumble despite my aiming down the sights.
I'm most surprised to learn that not only does GTA V have front, rear, and all wheel drive vehicles, but it also has a gear system. I've never once noticed that in the game.
You've never noticed the sound difference?
There is a PC mod that allows you to shift gears manually.
Wait until you hear that cars and bikes in this can produce downforce too...
(All online DLC cars starting from 2016 to be specific)

6:31 I love to do this a lot when I’m bored in gta 5
Been a good while since I've watch your content and let me say, coming back to you with long hair and a short beard definitely made me think life was a simulation for a half second😂😂
Thank you Matt. I love your content. We all do. ❤
Great title selection lately, catches your interest right away! Keep going Matto :)
The instant vehicle stop also works online by switching to a Story mode character, then canceling the prompt to switch.

Thanks, Tips. That was a banger outro and I respect your grind.
Franklin being the fastest on foot and slowest in Water Is hilarious

Michael being faster in water makes a wacky kind of sense, since he’s the only one to canonically own a boat. The others show no affinity towards water at all.

That job warping in missions in gta online is a very useful tip. Thank you for covering this. ❤
It has changed somewhat due to a patch. Is covered in a later facts and glitches episode
13:05 actually just pressing shift prevents the phonecalls, u dont need to be running
great and interesting video with some info that I hadn't known before.
(EDIT: It was Sarah Digitally)
1. Be in story mode (any character)
2. Switch to first person
3. Launch Rockstar job creator from the Online tab (where you would make a race)
4. Load into a race (must meet minimum requirements to test race)
5. If the default online player that you spawn into the test as is the same gender as your online character, continue to next step. If not, exit test and re-enter test until it is.
6. Switch to first person
7. Pause, go to Online and load into a session
If it worked, when you open your phone your character should hold it out just like story mode.
I guess maybe this is the method they patched?
There's another method using the quick launch snapmatic, muh better as you don't need to do all the creator setup etc.
You can the buffered ledge grab in gta online then?
@@absolution6191 That is what I said, yes 😅 You can perform a buffered ledge grab in Online.

@@-10 You're correct, all motorbikes that can pop a wheelie benefit more than leaning forwards.
0:10 Isn’t this a compilation of the F&G series? So we technically do know what you do. Even when you have 10.000 hours.
