what you said about O-Line. I trust coach B to get those guys ready. They are hungry, and want to show what they can do. They hear all the doubts, so it will be in their minds to prove themselves, and hopefully pay attention to detail.
I'm disillusioned with this team,,, each of the past few years I'm expecting them to get beefier on the OL so they can compete in the SEC and each year they actually get worse. They should have been ramping up like Texas but that's not what happened. Unless it's bad coaching this really looks like bad recruiting.
@davidsmith1784 very true David but don't underestimate the attack on OU from ESPN/SEC. I see them as overcoming obstacles the hard way old school and that takes time
@@TerrySleuth I don't understand, you're saying ESPN and the SEC are attacking OU? I did notice some home cooking going on with the officiating at Auburn that seemed excessive but it happens I guess.
The first law of the offensive line is recruiting and Bedenbaugh has recruited well. The second law of the offensive line is linemen drills which is what Bedenbaugh will drill you into the ground, and the third law of the offensive line is the weight room and attitude. Offensive linemen must be powerful in terms of strength and play nasty, angrily, and with physicality. @@LockedOnSooners New coordinators, first year QB in the SEC, default adjustment period, lets be real OU wasnt doing great against the SEC the last 10 years and that was with elite teams just playing 1 or 2 SEC games. 1 or 2 is alot different than an entire SEC schedule. I feel like Arnold is really gonna struggle to begin the year. But as far as the game against OM, OM is just the better program RN. Better staff, better roster at every position, home game, etc....If y'all still had Dillon I wouldnt be this confident.
I think this team will be good but naming a bunch of names does not make the offense line good. Defense will be. If you're being realisting this team is 4-4 in conference. Ranked in top 25.
No way did Gabriel leave because “he wanted what was best for the program”. The only reasons for transferring are: wasn’t likely to start, more money, better opportunity to win, disagreement with coaching, moving closer to home, conflict with teammates in the locker room, and/or off-field issues (girlfriend, classes, grades, etc.). I know some of these probably don’t apply to Gabriel, but others surely do, no matter how much honey is dripped to the media.
My opinion is that we will hide our OL by short passes to replace the run. Then when team crowd the line of scrimmage to stop the short passes. Max protection and throw for a touchdown. Our defense should average 20 points per game. 3-4 td and we win in the mighty sec. Everything will rest on our young QB ability to scramble and hit the long pass.
