What about to the right and left , video doesn't show if you had to cut the wood/board you cut the pipe or rod but what about the piece that goes above the rod ?
Don't we need to account for the drawers before placing the shelves? So for the T3, where do I put the shelves for my three drawers? Guess I'll have to suffer through the multi-language instructions. But this video is MUCH better than the instructions.
Just curious about the baseboard trim. Do you have to remove the trim to get the closet system flush to the wall or is it designed to be slightly away from the wall?
Michael Turrell I will be doing a video on the exact closet soon. Yes you should remove the baseboard so The closet will be against the wall then reinstall Baseboard in between.
I just notched the closetmaid at the bottom to account for the baseboard. There was enough room for the back feet after cutting, if not just drill a new hole. Removing baseboard requires just as mush cutting to put back and then you have to caulk and paint. Just cut the closet system.
We left our baseboard trims in tact and just used our own screws and wall anchors since they were longer than the ones provided. This way the unit would still be secure while leaving a small bit of space between the shelves and wall
She's working on the widest of the three models, which is titled "Selectives 14.5 in. D x 25 in. W x 82.5 in. H White Custom Laminate Closet System Organizer" on HomeDepot.com. It's NOT the T3, which is the middle width. The T3 does not come with the triangle pieces to keep the unit square. And the narrowest doesn't have laminate on the bottom.
