I love how the mod almost behaves like the Thing in the movie. Maybe it's coincidental, but I liked how when you were in a village, it spent less time attacking you, and more time sneaking out and infecting the villagers, like how the alien silently assimilated the people of the research base. It even had you second guessing who was and wasn't infected lol.
it looks way better than most infection mods since majority of them infect blocks, with the from another world mod I can have a base without fear of it being taken over by infection blocks
I like how it seems to have used elements from the '50s movie, the John Carpenter movie and the original book. The green one that spreads the Carpenter infection resembles the '50s movie and the _Who Goes There?_ / _Frozen Hell_ version of the creature.
from the Movie i think Blair was normal intill later in the half he was slowly being infected. using Guns on the Alien parasite isnt gonna do anything to it. its only when the Dog turned into a Thing is when Mac shot the alien infected dog and that it did cause damage but it didnt sustain enough damage. so basically Guns are used Worthless only Grenades and a Flamethrower are a quick easy death for the Alien
so im guessing that it gets more agressive overtime which is why it keeps taking longer and longer to run away from the fire until it no longer runs away, and at that point you can kill it with fire IF you have a flamethrower otherwise you gotta use the whole ice thing you failed at so misserably

@@jrsharp372 In that kind of FFA World, It's mostly brawling between TFTH and Spore against everyone, Abominations and Sculk horde competing (they can assimilate eachothers blocks) Prion getting slammed into the ground, Pathogen getting beaten to a pulp by Spore & TFTH, FAW continuously spreading.

You need to get diamond gear with enchantments to fight this thing. I've seen "Rotch" another youtuber that I've watched, fight and win with diamond gear.
you can use any flamethrower from those addons for mr.crayfish gun mod if you want, but they come with a need for a fuel, if more specifically, Mo's guns addon has two flamers
