To anyone who’s doing this now, Volcorona will have some pretty poor moves until it gets into the 50s/60s. If you still wanna use it, I’d recommend turning it into a speedy setup until you can get the flamethrower TM right before the elite four. But you can teach it struggle bug to lower special defense, teach it Reflect and/or light screen and Will-o-wisp to really cut into opponents attacks. This was a great strategy for me for the dragon gym leader. Made all his Pokémon ineffective

I played this game and beat it about three / four years ago, and am playing it again for fun, catching all legendaries, finishing the story, etc. and it's really fun! If you've beaten the game and have PKMN Sun / Moon definitely transfer all the legendary Pokemon from BW2 to it and play the game again! It's fun to play it again, plus you get double the legendaries!
Its worth noting that if you choose to knock-out Volcarona it will disappear, but it comea back at level 65 after you beat the Elite 4. And since Volcarona has shitty moves until you get it to about 50 or 60, it may not be that useful for you. So I'd recommend waiting til after you've beaten the elite 4 to catch Volcarona.
Volcarona is not shitty. I have one at level 100 with thses moves Fiery Dance, Hurricane, Quiver Dance and Bug Buzz and it is a good moveset you just need to be patient

You forgot to say that if you defeat it and you defeat the champion, when you return there it will be at level 65! (if you beat the champion before finding it the first time it will still be at low level but if you defeat it and you beat the champion again it will be at level 65)

This is what the game looks like on a DS, theres a button combo you can press before DS games load (after selecting them) that put the screen in DS resolution though.

Is the Volcarona in BW2 technically the Larvesta from BW? The Volcarona in BW is a higher level, so doesn't that mean someone (i.e. BW protagonist) evolved Larvesta and put it in the Relic Castle? I wanted to know.

The thing is I don't like the lack of moves volcarona learns until higher levels. So I'd be stuck with shitty moves. Volcarona is a weird one when it comes to being legendary. There's only 1 in the game, it has an overworld sprite and you have to go through a pain in the ass to get it. However Volcarona is the only 'legendary' pokemon that can breed and produce a pokemon that can evolve into it's original form. Manaphy can also breed but is a legendary because Phione doesn't evolve into Manaphy.
I read on marriland if you KO it at lvl 35 and the beat the game, it'll be back in the same spot but at level 65 and with heat wave and quiver dance. Hope it's just seeing as I just ko'd it
Blue Universe you can't soft reset in the 5th generation games, which is annoying. If you turn oof the system, it's called a hard reset, because the hardware is reset.
You should have beat the pokemon league first because the level of Volcarona is raised by 35 making it level 70 but im just saying you should have beat the pokemon league first
Because Black or White would of either killed it, caught it, or ran away which made it flee. So this isn't that same pokémon as in Black and white. So new pokémon, Means new LVL.
So to get Volcarona you need a level 100 shiny haxorous name it assistant and have it learn false swipe. Awell as having 99 max repels and 99 ultra balls... Easy, the only problem is that I have everything but the game. :P

If you catch Volcarona before the elite four, it is level 35 if you catch Volcarona after the elite four, it will be level 70. It is 35 levels higher.

To be fair in white 2 there is a static encounter for a lvl 25 braviary on route 4

it's not a lengendary.
It is pseudo-legendary, like a Tyranitar that evolves at insane levels, very late into normal playthroughs.

There is no way to get a Gigalith without trading. That's the only way to evolve Boldore.
