Just wanted to point out when you was checking the integrity of the flue you didn’t change your Kane to 02 is there any reason for that or was it just forgotten?

Hi Allen great video. I'm currently running this version of boiler and have a nest version 3 connected in on off mode. I know recently that you've done a newer video connecting the newer version via opentherm. I'm really struggling to find definitive answer to whether 1. my boiler supports opentherm and 2. if so how I would go about connecting it this way. It doesn't have the same digital display as the lower black fronted version and also the connections appear to be on the bottom of the boiler not needing to take front cover off. The only indication in the instructions that opentherm maybe supported is on page 20 of the manual showing the electrical terminals. Then further on in the manual mentioning A9 fault code. Can you shed any light please.

Had the 050 serviced last September and only just noticed that SERV is still showing 6 months on. Will this effect the efficiency of the boiler ?

Allen, I've had a Combi 050 fitted recently, mainly on the basis of your opinion of them! Very happy with its quiet efficiency but was wondering if there was a way to get it to deliver hot water more quickly? It seems very reserved in how it starts-up, stays in low power mode for about the first 20 seconds before then bringing the boiler up to high output to get the desired DHW, result is I have to run the hot top for almost 60 seconds before I get truly hot hot water - is that normal? Perhaps its just a modern boiler thing, my old unit was about 20 years old Worcester and would just go full power as soon as you turned on the hot tap!
E C depends how the boiler has been setup and the size of the boiler.
Moved into a new property it has this boiler but its controlled by owl intuition, but we are having real problems getting heating to turn on via the owl controls. System says its running but the boiler doesnt respond

Hi Allen. We had a Greek installer install a brand new Vitodens 050-W on the island of Samos on the 2nd week of March so it didn’t really get a lot of use until the winter started just recently. This system is used solely for central heating.
The install has 5 radiators in a newly constructed small two story apartment style building. It’s fully insulated with double glazed windows etc.
Sadly, we have had to stop using the system as it is burning through 25Kg of LPG every 5 or 6 days. We switched over to reverse cycle AC which is not the best for power use.
I’m at a loss to understand how we could be burning through this much gas.? Shouldn't a 25Kg LPG tank last about 14 days if it was burning on maximum constantly @33kW? This system is on a thermostatically controlled radiator system being used a couple of hours in the morning and around 4 hours during the day running only two of the 5 radiators.
Could it be that we are using the wrong type of gas, the gas restrictor is incorrectly setup, it’s plumbed incorrectly, or there is a gas or water system pipe leak somewhere. Finally, the Vitodens 0-50W could be faulty. Getting support from the local installer has been tricky as his knowledge with this system is his first install.
Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
Do you have a tutorial on how to use these things? What is service? Should service always be on? My gas bill was incredibly high and I have no idea why? There’s no how to info on the internet

I found mine on the top of the boiler.
I have this same model, but it F4 faults like 4/5 times a day.... Viesmann have been out and said nothing wrong with it... then why is it faulting?
I suspect it could be something to do with the condensate backing up. Did they check that? Thanks.
