A bit late to the party but you could of isolated the valve below the filter (leaving the return valve for boiler open), isolate the flow isolator, remove the cold mains flexi on the filling loop and open the CH side valve, that would of drained the boiler without touching the PRV as the non return valve is (and should) be on the cold mains side. Just a tip for future to avoid unhappy customers. Hope it helps 👍
Thanks for another video. I'm still learning too. If Prv fails, are you replacing it free of charge? And if fails in week or two? Why don't you drain down via a radiator? Just curious to build on my knowledge. Appreciate the videos, these type of videos are good. Have a great weekend. 👍
@@craigmcgregor5463 Your observations are correct Craig that PRV valve will probably leak after a week or two! and what he should’ve done is at least take it out and clean the surface rubber seating area you can drain boiler by removing the small pressure gauge hose I do it all the time
A very misleading video the expansion vessel is absolutely fine as you know they always spit out a bit of condensation water why why why didn’t you clean the plate to plate heat exchanger and when the boiler was all cleaned out it’s only 4 mm Allen screw and it’s forward facing so very easy to remove. I fitted loads of them and they are a great boiler if maintained properly

Prv leak about 20% of the time its other peoples opinions say they leak 100% of the time
Evening, I never said it would leak i was just asking the other questions.
No worries. Thanks
@@craigmcgregor5463 Hi if the PRV failed yeah I would charge for that part.

Expansion vessel hasn’t gone! It is condensation. Drain out water ( can be a cup full) and recharge.
I will look into that thanks 😊
