I also jumped 4 grades from grade 4 to grade 8 in literally two days(revising two days before for each paper) I created flashcards using my CGP guides and learnt ALL OF THEM word for word. Then I did a past paper and made flahcards based on mark scheme of my mistakes,. I went from 25 out of 100 to 69 in paper 1 and 78 in paper 2 (full papers out of 100). I personally read my flashcards ouloud and also if you don't have flashcards use physics and maths tutors one. I used this technique for every science exam and in each paper I averaged 75 out of 100 by revising the day before. Also if your past paper results are below par it means you didn't memorise properly. If you read them again and agian they eventually make sense. It made me feel smart when all the information began making sense and linking to eachother.
this is probably the only helpful video I've watched on youtube about gcse sciences tysm girl, you really broke it down for me. Now I gotta get those 8s and 9s IJNN!!!!
APOLOGIES FOR ALL THE GLITCHES AND CUTS THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO. I’ve been trying to get this out for you all for 4 days now, finally i did manage to get it up but this caused some technical issues. I am also stepping away from socials for a while as i am getting so so busy so please bare with me, nevertheless i will respond to any comments. Anyways enjoy!🤍🤍
Thank the Lord for giving me this video! I have 20 days left, and I’ve been struggling with worrying about it. I prayed for help, and this video comes up! Jesus Christ is our King, Lord and Saviour!
ive been getting 7s and i really want to boost my grade up, i never know how to effectively use my past papers but now i do!!! thank you so much - ill be trying this out :))))
THANK YOU! Honestly biology has driven me mad and it has to much content to cover within these few days. Thanks to your tip, it's made it alot easier to tackle!
thank you great! I should've clarified that just because we are bullet pointing it doesn't mean the lines of answers are not coherent, ordered and structured in a readable sentence (and in chronological order for methods) when I use the term 'bullet points' I essentially mean sentences separated into CLEAR points to make it easier for the examiner, not just random words on each line. You could even write the answer in a paragraph with full sentences first then afterwards draw points next to each point to highlight each point like a point on the markscheme... So the "bullet points" work for 6 markers as long as each point is actually a sentence leading on from the previous point (for AQA Science at least)
@@sherylb oh for edexcel its different they mark it based on how well you structure your response and you lose marks for not doing so but your tips still apply and ive been doing that recently which almost helps me visualise the mark scheme as if it were infront of me
ahhh okay i see! thank you for helping me understand that xxx THAT MAKES TOTAL SENSE, no worries then definitely perfect and practice your structure then for those questions!
@TheProdigy-sg5ns edexcel is very picky but their markschemes and questions dont change alot from what ive seen, ive seen the same few questions repeated in different ways in 2/3 past papers
day 1 of doing phase 1. i did a bio paper (weakest topic) & let me tell y'all it is very time consuming. it took about 2hrs & 41min for me, to do the paper, write notes in green pen and correct the paper with the same exact mark scheme answers. not to scare you, but it's just a heads up. i'll continue with this cramming method & let y'all know my results in august! edit: i got 998 in biology, chemistry and physics. overall, i think this revision method is ok for LAST minute cramming but it is hella time consuming and as a result i found it very difficult to be consistent with it. furthermore, in my last mocks, i was predicted an 898, so i don't think my experiences accurately reflect how effective this revision method is. however, memorising mark scheme answers and sitting past papers in exam conditions, were, in my opinion, highly effective and helped me a lot in my actual exams. tl;dr - this revision method is good for last minute cramming if you haven't done much revision and don't already have pre existing revision materials, if you can manage your time, but for any year 10s reading this please don't let it get to this point.
hey yes!! sitting a full paper can be long but i do feel like it's important to go through a paper extensively! but i understand that 2hr 45m may seem time consuming especially when you have 10 other subjects, i encourage you to stick at it but if that doesn't satisfy you, here are some ways on how to fit this into your schedule: depending on how your timetable is looking currently and how much time you can dedicate to science depends on when you'll be able to do these actions... but here are some options on how to implement these actions option 1: for days 1 - 3 (sitting full papers on all 3 sciences) it should take you 1.5 hrs to try the paper so maybe slot it in first in the morning and then it should take 1 hour to add notes and mark so you could potentially do that after school for an hour then do your other subjects to finish off the night then after papers on days 4 - 6 when it comes to filling in gaps or reviewing your weak topics, you can literally give it anything from 30 mins to an 1 hour for your active recall methods if you are really struggling you can give it 2 hours option 2: alternatively you do not need to give each science a day in itself you may take the weekend to thrash them all out so saturday morning sit bio paper 1 (1.5hr) take a break then sit chem paper 1 (1.5hr) take a break then mark bio paper 1 (45m) mark chem paper 1 (45m) take a break then sit physics paper 1 (1.5hr) then mark it (45m) obviously this is quite a few hours but if you are willing to do that for one day just to see your weaknesses you can then later in the week you can review your weak chem and physics topics on the same day and bio on a different etc. just move the tasks around to where they fit you option 3: split each paper in half as most papers have 7 - 9 questions you can do half the bio questions one day after school and half the chem questions one day after school etc. so you could sit them in 45m intervals instead of full 1.5hr sittings then for reviewing topics, you can do flashcards ANYWHERE (bus, bed, walking, car journeys, library, shop) just slot a few minutes in to quiz yourself! hope that helps but obviously i dont know your exact timetable so i cant be entirely sure xx
revising for humanities like this are so pleasent because the type of questions doesn’t vary to much! 1) TRY A PAST PAPER AND LEARN HOW THE MARKSCHEME WANT THE ANSWERS 2) RECAP CONTENT WITH SENECA 3) FLASHCARDS ON WEAKER TOPICS AND CASE STUDYS FOR GEO 4) PRACTICE WRITING RS QUESTIONS + GET THEM MARKED EXTERNALLY hope that helped xx just focus on getting used to exam questions and markschemes though because resources are limited
@@sherylbOk thanks so much. Also just wondering for sciences is doing 3 hours for each topic a week enough for this type of method or do I have to increase the hours
hi lovely i’ve already done maths… in a video on my channel so definitely go watch that! the only things i would add for cramming maths is to do as many PAST PAPER that maths has to offer if you struggle with them then watch live exam question walkthroughs (THEY’RE AMAZING) the reason i haven’t done english one is because i literally just didn’t enjoy english😭 english was one of my ‘don’t care’ subjects i only got a 6/7 in lang and lit because i just didn’t revise it because i had a negative outlook on my english teachers on the time so i wouldn’t say im too qualified to speak on english but if you really want english help my advice for literature anyways is to PRE PLAN YOUR ESSAYS i just couldn’t bring myself to love it like stem, hence why my alevels are just stem😣 anyways sorry i couldn’t be more helpful xx
Loved the video!! I was just wondering if you think I would drop from a 9 in physics in my December mock since i think it was mainly due to having the equation sheet 😭and i got exactly on the boundary for a 9. I will be using your video for the next week and during the exam months so thank you so much for posting ❤
Thank you! i am glad it helped xx I don't necessarily think you would drop unless you decreased you frequency of practising questions but just keep working to make sure you're deep in the grade boundary, solidify your 9 also you will get an equation sheet in your real GCSE also so don't worry, just practice with the equation sheet that is given in the exam and that should make you familar with what is given and what is not etc. thank you for your lovely comment! keep going my love
@@sherylb After a few months I am so happy to say I got 9 9s and one 8 after listening to all your tips!!! Thank you sheryl for all your support as I would not have got all 9s in sciences and other subjects without you!! 💙 Keep shining sheryl as you are definitely 1 in a million ✨
@@artis_001 WOW WOW WOW. you are a star. i am so happy for you, this is amazing. this comment actually means so much to me, its people like you that make me do what i do. thank you so much. what a levels are you going on to study my love?
@@sherylb Thank you so much, Sheryl! 😊 Your support and advice made such a difference! I'm currently studying Biology, Chemistry, and Maths for A-levels. Can't wait to dive deeper into the sciences thanks to the strong foundation you've helped me build! How are things going with you? What are you up to these days? Would love to know how you're doing! 😊You truly inspire me to keep pushing for more! 💙✨
I personally used the PMT ones and i haven't actually heard of legacy so you are free to switch between the two if they're both as good as each other. Just make sure the questions you are doing are specific to your exam board xx
don't stress lovely, most of the concepts apply to edexcel science but you cannot write your 6 markers in bullet points apparently because you are being tested on structure!!
hopefully this is how i'm going to turn my grades around 😭 thank you for this no bs video, i think your tips were quite genuine and i will definitely implement these everyday and come back to let you know how it went in august!! also i wanted to ask if you knew any flashcard resources for igcse oxford aqa combined science? i cant seem to find any
i tried my best to find some here for you!! but please check for yourself as i haven't used them myself so i'm not entirely sure how accurate they are and if you can't find ANY save my exams will most likely have notes on your specification. or use the specific textbooks end of topic questions! practical-science.com/2023/05/01/igcse-biology-revision-quizlet-flashcard-links/ www.brainscape.com/packs/biology-9-1-igcse-oxford-aqa-9783095 www.cram.com/flashcards/igcse-biology-5268123 www.brainscape.com/subjects/igcse-biology gizmo.ai/deck/receive?senderName=Someone&deckName=Deck&deckColour=FC5861&numDeckCards=0&returnTo=%252Fdeck%252F54175%253Fp%253D8FWyV0iJ6ZI%2526t%253D1%2526deckId%253D54175%2526page%253D1 www.brainscape.com/packs/chemistry-9-1-igcse-oxford-aqa-10221780 www.reddit.com/r/igcse/comments/x8vvid/igcse_biologychemistryphysics_full_flashcards_and/?rdt=38834 quizlet.com/18444035/igcse-biology-flash-cards/ www.reddit.com/r/igcse/comments/wy1zld/igcse_free_flashcards_cramsheets/ www.studystack.com/flashcard-3226145 let me know how you get on, you can always use flashcards for GCSE science just pair it up with your specification to make sure it's asked on your specification...
if you genuinely genuinely know ZERO content then studying for a few days to get the knowledge in your head isn’t a bad idea, i’d say that’s perfectly fine as long as you integrate QUESTIONS into your studying, it cannot just be passive learning DO TOPIC QUESTIONS alongside learning the topics you don’t know, show yourself how will that content appear in the exam! hope that helped, keep going and use all your time effectively❤️
Hi, at 3.34 you mentioned we can use our own notes to add information we missed out with another pen. Can we use search engines, or should we stick to our notes?
I feel as though search engines would almost be like the checking the markscheme first without withdrawing the information from a source of notes yourself, extracting the information from notes would cause you to read around and understand the surrounding topics 1st (the reason i said not to just check the markscheme because it gives you the answer straight away without you having to use brain power, so you don't actually learn and you begin to rely on having the chance to check the markscheme when in reality in your GCSES you never get to check the markschemes) obviously if you use notes and you still cannot quite get anything you can use a search engine before using the markscheme but yeah this is just what i recommend xx
@@sherylb Thanks for the clarification. One more question, how would i schedule the sciences. You said day 1 is your weakest, then so on and so forth, What about after that? Do I cover my weak points for each subject in those 2 days, like 2 days for each, or in 2 days all 3 of them?
it just means that after sitting a paper in black or blue or whatever, you’ll go over that paper with a green pen and add to your answers with notes before checking the markscheme. it doesn’t have to be green, im just saying they need to be 2 different colours xx
hey lovely, sorry for the delay in my response if you click here you should be able to access the flashcards www.physicsandmathstutor.com/biology-revision/gcse-aqa/cell-biology/cell-structure-flashcards just click back for any other topics you want x
you're very welcome! good question here's what i'd recommend whatever you decide to do I don't recommend COMPLETELY ignoring paper 2 or the workload will increase when it gets nearer to the time but... - ensure all paper 1 topics are fresh in your mind for that first exam - ensure you've done topic questions/ quizzes for ALL paper 1 topics - ensure you've done multiple paper 1 past papers (all 7 would be ideal but i know time :( and then if you are working in like a 3 day cycle then definitely do at least one/two full paper 2's, just so you do not completely forgot those topics, and if you know you're extremely weak at a particular topic in paper 2 cover it early on! so i wouldn't say fully wait till half term to start paper 2 you definitely need balance as your score will combine ultimately. another thing i'd say is check your previous mocks and see what paper you normally perform better in, and if paper 2 is generally stronger you can most probably cram for it, if paper 1 is normally stronger then don't neglect paper 2 whilst cramming for paper 1 hope that helped xxx
currently im making my flashcards using cambridge learner's guide, before i write them down i usually try to remember them first, but do you think the learner guide is accurate or should i just use pmt's flash cards?? btw this is so useful thank you so much!!!
i personally haven’t seen the “learners guide” before, check how well its working by doing a past paper and assessing how much you’ve learnt and retained from this source! you are welcome to try some pmt ones too and decide for yourself which you prefer! and God bless you toooo xx
I haven’t done much education in recent years and idk any of the content at all how do I cover all of it quickly and effectively? Will I still be able to get a good grade? Your video was really helpful btw thank you so much❤!!
you're welcome! i'm glad it helped❤ firstly, it depends what you consider a GOOD GRADE, if you want to pass with 4s 5s and 6s you may be able to do this, knowing NO content at all, is definitely going to make it harder to achieve higher grades but this does NOT mean it is not possible if you spend lots of QUALITY time in exam questions and learning key concepts you may be able to turn things around. i will not lie, it will not be inherently easy but it will MOST likely be possible!! do not give up. the quickest way for you is to learn from markschemes! and flashcards, only focus on high yield topics that will 100% be asked don't give up! do questions after questions after questions everyday and use LIVE EXAM QUESTION WALKTHROUGHS where people talk through and explain the way they got to the answer🤍🤍 hope that helped, keep going lovely
@@sherylb Thank you so so much!! I appreciate all the help, I want to aim for grade 7s although I think it’s too late now but I’ll try at least pass my GCSE’s! Thank you again I’ll do as you said and hope all goes well in my exam💕!!
i personally didn’t like english at all so i didn’t revise much for it, i only got a 7 in literature so my best tip for english literature is to PLAN YOUR ESSAYS
hi, i'm in year 10 and aiming for all 9s, do you have any advice or specific things to be doing that would get me this? also i love your videos your such an inspiration 💗
get familiar with the mark scheme, find a question you struggled on, then do similar questions to it (5 atleast) so u never fail on that question/topic
aw, first of all thank you so much lovely! you are going to do exceptional you're already thinking ahead, trust me you're in the right direction and you're doing everything right so far, you will get ALL 9's if you keep at it. any advice or specific things to do to get ALL 9's for you... - listening in class and absorbing all subtopics the 1st time its taught is how you will make your job easier in year 11 - after every lesson, GO HOME AND CONSOLIDATE YOUR LEARNING with questions or mini tests to see retain all that you've learnt - if you're planning on using flashcards prepare them all in the first few months of year 11, do not leave flashcard creation till after december (if you are not using flashcards thats fine also) - find a system/ revision method that allows freedom and lets you enjoy learning, maybe rewarding yourself with food after studying or watching a bit of netflix just relax so you do not burn out before exam season - review your end of year 10 mocks properly and make sure you know where you lost marks - when you do enter year 11 and your school has finishd with the ALL the content try a your first paper early on and show yourself what its like - and if you really want all 9's you will do a little bit if revision frequently so NO CRAMMING just a little bit everyday, spreading your time evenly over the year and prioritising the subjects you have lower grades in hope that helped xx
mindmaps are always good i believe because linking topics is essential to building a good foundation and pmt info is well liked i guess so yes i dont see why not! as long as it’s working for you xx
here's what i'd recommend whatever you decide to do I don't recommend COMPLETELY ignoring paper 2 or the workload will increase when it gets nearer to the time but... - ensure all paper 1 topics are fresh in your mind for that first exam - ensure you've done topic questions/ quizzes for ALL paper 1 topics - ensure you've done multiple paper 1 past papers (all 7 would be ideal but i know time :( and then definitely do at least one/two full paper 2's before paper 1 and do not completely ignore those topics, and if you know you're extremely weak at a particular topic in paper 2 cover it early on! so obviously since paper 1 is first prioritise paper 1 initially but you should upkeep your paper 2 knowledge with quizzes, flashcards, topic questions and papers the same as paper 1 but oniy whenever you have time because i dont want to say it but realistically you can always cram again after half term for paper 2😭😭😭 but most importantly just prioritise your weaker paper so if you notice that in your mocks you always flop paper 2 then give paper 2 MORE PRACTICE PAPERS after paper 1, if its the other way round bang out paper 1 because ultimately your total score will be both of them combined xx hope that helped lovely, just do not fully neglect paper 2 or your workload will increase once its time for paper 2 but even just keeping on top of paper 2 content is sufficient then turn up the revision closer to the time with papers
@@sherylbwow honestly you’re one of the most helpful people I’ve met online, the detail you went into on this reply alone shows that, the video too. It was specific and I don’t think anyone’s talked about this method of studying. Cant thank you enough.
@@Soldiersforchrist_paper 2 is a little while away so i’d do a paper 2 total recall once every week until paper 1 is over and then switch after paper 1 is over, good luck!
i've got a whole video on gcse maths the only thing that i'd add since now you're cramming is just MORE full practice papers and use live exam question walkthrough videos to correct any errors in your method. ua-cam.com/video/14DO7smmU4Y/v-deo.htmlsi=knDBAJnz_yfW4QNi
What should I do if I have made notes for all the science p1s.Im doing triple and haven’t done any paper 2 content but without any revision I’m getting 5s.What would u recommend and what active recall methods are good.My exam timetable is in order of when my exams are and haven’t made notes for paper 2
okay! i’d recommend you start recapping paper 2 content when you have time or at least try a paper or two to see how solid you are with those topics. do not completely neglect paper 2 as this will increase your workload closer to the time. definitely upkeep paper 2 revision alongside paper 1 and active recall methods cause you to pull information out of your brain so practice questions, flashcards, blurting, quizzing is all active i’d strongly recommend topic questions and flashcards. hope that helped xx
@@sherylb for the pmt topic practice paper questions there are all 20pages some up to 70 or longer how many questions do you reckon I should? And are pmt flashcards ok for me to use ?
sorry i missed this! yes pmt flashcards are okay to use and as for topic questions the use of them is to solidify a topic so if you do 10 questions and they’re starting to repeat themselves now and you understand you’re free to move on, maybe it takes you 15 questions to understand the general gist of the concepts inside a topic or maybe after 5 you got full marks in all the ones you’ve done and you’re happy to move on then do so! i couldnt necessarily give you an exact number of questions you should stop at; maybe set an hour timer and do as many questions as you can in that hour, it really depends. dont feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of pages just do what you can because most the time questions repeat so you arent really missing out. hope that helped xx
yes you need to like do everything i said but skip time consuming stuff like videos and green notes on EVERY QUESTION just do past papers asap, and start memorising the mark scheme, you need to maximise the time you DO have. it's up to you, this can work if you want it to, 100%
Thanks a lott!! I have mocks coming up in 3 week and I’ve been revising and stressing a lot bc I feel like whenever i revise I’m forgetting something especially when I do topical question. So I’ll def try your techniques! Please let me know any other tips you maybe related to revision and stress. Once again thx ur a legit life saverr!!!🩷🩷
i’m glad it helped! i definitely recommend creating a checklist or downloading a ready made checklist that allows you to tick the topics you have covered. this will definitely help with stress also because then you know you’re not missing anything 🤍🤍 but yeah you can do it!

for the bullet point stuff, it works for everything but the 6 markers because those test your ability to structure your answer and your spag
thank you great! I should've clarified that just because we are bullet pointing it doesn't mean the lines of answers are not coherent, ordered and structured in a readable sentence (and in chronological order for methods)
when I use the term 'bullet points' I essentially mean sentences separated into CLEAR points to make it easier for the examiner, not just random words on each line. You could even write the answer in a paragraph with full sentences first then afterwards draw points next to each point to highlight each point like a point on the markscheme...
So the "bullet points" work for 6 markers as long as each point is actually a sentence leading on from the previous point
(for AQA Science at least)
@@sherylb oh for edexcel its different they mark it based on how well you structure your response and you lose marks for not doing so but your tips still apply and ive been doing that recently which almost helps me visualise the mark scheme as if it were infront of me

Ooh thanks.It actually went well.Got 7,6s and 5s😂
day 1 of doing phase 1. i did a bio paper (weakest topic) & let me tell y'all it is very time consuming. it took about 2hrs & 41min for me, to do the paper, write notes in green pen and correct the paper with the same exact mark scheme answers. not to scare you, but it's just a heads up. i'll continue with this cramming method & let y'all know my results in august!
edit: i got 998 in biology, chemistry and physics. overall, i think this revision method is ok for LAST minute cramming but it is hella time consuming and as a result i found it very difficult to be consistent with it. furthermore, in my last mocks, i was predicted an 898, so i don't think my experiences accurately reflect how effective this revision method is. however, memorising mark scheme answers and sitting past papers in exam conditions, were, in my opinion, highly effective and helped me a lot in my actual exams.
tl;dr - this revision method is good for last minute cramming if you haven't done much revision and don't already have pre existing revision materials, if you can manage your time, but for any year 10s reading this please don't let it get to this point.
you can do it keep going🫵
hey yes!!
sitting a full paper can be long but i do feel like it's important to go through a paper extensively! but i understand that 2hr 45m may seem time consuming especially when you have 10 other subjects, i encourage you to stick at it but if that doesn't satisfy you, here are some ways on how to fit this into your schedule:
depending on how your timetable is looking currently and how much time you can dedicate to science depends on when you'll be able to do these actions... but here are some options on how to implement these actions
option 1:
for days 1 - 3 (sitting full papers on all 3 sciences) it should take you 1.5 hrs to try the paper so maybe slot it in first in the morning and then it should take 1 hour to add notes and mark so you could potentially do that after school for an hour then do your other subjects to finish off the night
then after papers on days 4 - 6 when it comes to filling in gaps or reviewing your weak topics, you can literally give it anything from 30 mins to an 1 hour for your active recall methods if you are really struggling you can give it 2 hours
option 2:
alternatively you do not need to give each science a day in itself you may take the weekend to thrash them all out so saturday morning sit bio paper 1 (1.5hr) take a break then sit
chem paper 1 (1.5hr) take a break then
mark bio paper 1 (45m)
mark chem paper 1 (45m) take a break then sit
physics paper 1 (1.5hr) then mark it (45m)
obviously this is quite a few hours but if you are willing to do that for one day just to see your weaknesses you can
then later in the week you can review your weak chem and physics topics on the same day and bio on a different etc. just move the tasks around to where they fit you
option 3:
split each paper in half as most papers have 7 - 9 questions you can do half the bio questions one day after school and half the chem questions one day after school etc. so you could sit them in 45m intervals instead of full 1.5hr sittings
then for reviewing topics, you can do flashcards ANYWHERE (bus, bed, walking, car journeys, library, shop) just slot a few minutes in to quiz yourself!
hope that helps but obviously i dont know your exact timetable so i cant be entirely sure xx
trying to go from 7s6s to 7s 8s 9s. Will get back when i get my results!
you can do it!!
Have you got any advice on how to cram for RS, Business or Geography or can you make a video on that in particular?
revising for humanities like this are so pleasent because the type of questions doesn’t vary to much!
1) TRY A PAST PAPER AND LEARN HOW THE MARKSCHEME WANT THE ANSWERS
2) RECAP CONTENT WITH SENECA
3) FLASHCARDS ON WEAKER TOPICS AND CASE STUDYS FOR GEO
4) PRACTICE WRITING RS QUESTIONS + GET THEM MARKED EXTERNALLY
hope that helped xx just focus on getting used to exam questions and markschemes though because resources are limited

@@sherylb thank you so much
what if i study everything over one more time for 10 days then do this method after till examss (i only know abit of content) plss repllyy
if you genuinely genuinely know ZERO content then studying for a few days to get the knowledge in your head isn’t a bad idea, i’d say that’s perfectly fine as long as you integrate QUESTIONS into your studying, it cannot just be passive learning DO TOPIC QUESTIONS alongside learning the topics you don’t know, show yourself how will that content appear in the exam! hope that helped, keep going and use all your time effectively❤️
@@sherylb do you think creating flashcards to learn the content is too late now ?
Do I cover my weak points for each subject in those 2 days, like 2 days for each, or in 2 days all 3 of them?
would you recommend making flashcards for the practicals
I DID THIS!! it may not actually he the BEST method but yes i personally made physical flashcards for all of them and i remembered them, so try it xx

hi, what did the green pen part section mean im a bit confused
it just means that after sitting a paper in black or blue or whatever, you’ll go over that paper with a green pen and add to your answers with notes before checking the markscheme. it doesn’t have to be green, im just saying they need to be 2 different colours xx

@@sherylb thank you xx
thanks smm. would u say to focus on paper one now and wait till half term for paper 2 or cram both papers x
you're very welcome! good question here's what i'd recommend
whatever you decide to do I don't recommend COMPLETELY ignoring paper 2 or the workload will increase when it gets nearer to the time but...
- ensure all paper 1 topics are fresh in your mind for that first exam
- ensure you've done topic questions/ quizzes for ALL paper 1 topics
- ensure you've done multiple paper 1 past papers (all 7 would be ideal but i know time :(
and then if you are working in like a 3 day cycle then definitely do at least one/two full paper 2's, just so you do not completely forgot those topics, and if you know you're extremely weak at a particular topic in paper 2 cover it early on!
so i wouldn't say fully wait till half term to start paper 2 you definitely need balance as your score will combine ultimately.
another thing i'd say is check your previous mocks and see what paper you normally perform better in, and if paper 2 is generally stronger you can most probably cram for it, if paper 1 is normally stronger then don't neglect paper 2 whilst cramming for paper 1
hope that helped xxx
currently im making my flashcards using cambridge learner's guide, before i write them down i usually try to remember them first, but do you think the learner guide is accurate or should i just use pmt's flash cards??
btw this is so useful thank you so much!!!
i personally haven’t seen the “learners guide” before, check how well its working by doing a past paper and assessing how much you’ve learnt and retained from this source! you are welcome to try some pmt ones too and decide for yourself which you prefer!
and God bless you toooo xx
I haven’t done much education in recent years and idk any of the content at all how do I cover all of it quickly and effectively? Will I still be able to get a good grade? Your video was really helpful btw thank you so much❤!!
you're welcome! i'm glad it helped❤
firstly, it depends what you consider a GOOD GRADE, if you want to pass with 4s 5s and 6s you may be able to do this, knowing NO content at all, is definitely going to make it harder to achieve higher grades but this does NOT mean it is not possible if you spend lots of QUALITY time in exam questions and learning key concepts you may be able to turn things around.
i will not lie, it will not be inherently easy but it will MOST likely be possible!! do not give up.
the quickest way for you is to learn from markschemes! and flashcards,
only focus on high yield topics that will 100% be asked
don't give up! do questions after questions after questions everyday and use LIVE EXAM QUESTION WALKTHROUGHS where people talk through and explain the way they got to the answer🤍🤍

hi, i'm in year 10 and aiming for all 9s, do you have any advice or specific things to be doing that would get me this?
also i love your videos your such an inspiration 💗
get familiar with the mark scheme, find a question you struggled on, then do similar questions to it (5 atleast) so u never fail on that question/topic
Don’t worry about running out of past papers. I used to worry about past papers, meaning I didn’t revise much in year 10 for my year 11 exam.
aw, first of all thank you so much lovely! you are going to do exceptional you're already thinking ahead, trust me you're in the right direction and you're doing everything right so far, you will get ALL 9's if you keep at it.
any advice or specific things to do to get ALL 9's for you...
- listening in class and absorbing all subtopics the 1st time its taught is how you will make your job easier in year 11
- after every lesson, GO HOME AND CONSOLIDATE YOUR LEARNING with questions or mini tests to see retain all that you've learnt
- if you're planning on using flashcards prepare them all in the first few months of year 11, do not leave flashcard creation till after december (if you are not using flashcards thats fine also)
- find a system/ revision method that allows freedom and lets you enjoy learning, maybe rewarding yourself with food after studying or watching a bit of netflix just relax so you do not burn out before exam season
- review your end of year 10 mocks properly and make sure you know where you lost marks
- when you do enter year 11 and your school has finishd with the ALL the content try a your first paper early on and show yourself what its like
- and if you really want all 9's you will do a little bit if revision frequently so NO CRAMMING just a little bit everyday, spreading your time evenly over the year and prioritising the subjects you have lower grades in
hope that helped xx

no, i have really good eyesight😝 i just like the look of glasses ahaha
what if you have like 2 papers because all sciences for AQA have 2 papers each
here's what i'd recommend
whatever you decide to do I don't recommend COMPLETELY ignoring paper 2 or the workload will increase when it gets nearer to the time but...
- ensure all paper 1 topics are fresh in your mind for that first exam
- ensure you've done topic questions/ quizzes for ALL paper 1 topics
- ensure you've done multiple paper 1 past papers (all 7 would be ideal but i know time :(
and then definitely do at least one/two full paper 2's before paper 1 and do not completely ignore those topics, and if you know you're extremely weak at a particular topic in paper 2 cover it early on!
so obviously since paper 1 is first prioritise paper 1 initially but you should upkeep your paper 2 knowledge with quizzes, flashcards, topic questions and papers the same as paper 1 but oniy whenever you have time because i dont want to say it but realistically you can always cram again after half term for paper 2😭😭😭
but most importantly just prioritise your weaker paper so if you notice that in your mocks you always flop paper 2 then give paper 2 MORE PRACTICE PAPERS after paper 1, if its the other way round bang out paper 1 because ultimately your total score will be both of them combined xx
hope that helped lovely, just do not fully neglect paper 2 or your workload will increase once its time for paper 2 but even just keeping on top of paper 2 content is sufficient then turn up the revision closer to the time with papers

okay! i’d recommend you start recapping paper 2 content when you have time or at least try a paper or two to see how solid you are with those topics. do not completely neglect paper 2 as this will increase your workload closer to the time. definitely upkeep paper 2 revision alongside paper 1 and active recall methods cause you to pull information out of your brain so practice questions, flashcards, blurting, quizzing is all active i’d strongly recommend topic questions and flashcards.
hope that helped xx
@@sherylb for the pmt topic practice paper questions there are all 20pages some up to 70 or longer how many questions do you reckon I should? And are pmt flashcards ok for me to use ?
?
sorry i missed this! yes pmt flashcards are okay to use and as for topic questions the use of them is to solidify a topic so if you do 10 questions and they’re starting to repeat themselves now and you understand you’re free to move on, maybe it takes you 15 questions to understand the general gist of the concepts inside a topic or maybe after 5 you got full marks in all the ones you’ve done and you’re happy to move on then do so! i couldnt necessarily give you an exact number of questions you should stop at; maybe set an hour timer and do as many questions as you can in that hour, it really depends.
dont feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of pages just do what you can because most the time questions repeat so you arent really missing out. hope that helped xx

i’m glad it helped! i definitely recommend creating a checklist or downloading a ready made checklist that allows you to tick the topics you have covered. this will definitely help with stress also because then you know you’re not missing anything 🤍🤍 but yeah you can do it!
