How are you going to keep people away from things in their own home? Is it not better to show how to do something the safe way, than for them to go bang?
@@tonipeters4543 Showing them how to do dangerous things, in a dangerous way, is not safe, no. Electricity kills.
@@blow0me It is not dangerous to make a cable safe. I have seen people use a lever connector and put all 3 wires into the same connector, this video is to show what you should do. As I have said, you can't stop people doing things in their own home, but you can educate them.

Hi Tony, my alarm just started going off for no reason without even setting it. As it’s late Friday night and disturbing the neighbours I searched online for a solution. Found your video disconnected the battery in the bell box and this seems to have cured the problem. I was not aware these batteries needed changing every two years, my batteries have been in place much longer than that. I will change them later when I have the time. But my question is - could the flat batteries cause the alarm to go off on its own without even setting it?. Thanks in anticipation.
Just to add my alarm is not the Pyronix Enforcer but same box and similar looks inside.
How can I help if I don't know what I am supposed to help with.

Hi Toni, does 'siren 1 wireless poll fail' mean the siren fixed outside my house needs it's batteries changed? Having changed the batteries on the siren the control panel is still showing the same error code which I can't get rid off

So you are suggesting carry a kettle around with you? 🤔 Not really a good idea, and yes the lead is known as a kettle lead, but kettles stopped using the "kettle lead" (In favour of a round base) quite a few years ago. I used the kettle lead as an example, suppose it was a table lamp, you can't connect that to a kettle.

Hi Mate. Not sure it you still check comments but I have an issue with an wired Gardtec alarm I have. It's old but has been working pretty flawlessly. However in the last few weeks the alarm keeps going off even when it's turned off. It keeps showing 'Bell Tamper Fault'. Do you know what this could be? I've changed batteries in the panel a few times but never in the bell box. Also, when there is a battery issue it usually says it's the battery. Any advice would be greatful. I don't want to have to replace it all as it's been solid. Hoping it's something small or maybe I just need a new bell box. Thanks in advance mate.

@@tonipeters4543 Hi mate. No. I thought initially it would just stop lol. If hasn't. It's gone off 3 times tonight already. It's going to be a long night. I'll have to get up the ladder tomorrow and have a look. Is there anything specific I should look for inside the box? Could something be warn out of deteriorated? Appreciate you coming back to me.
@@tonipeters4543 So I climbed up today. Everything inside the box looked good. Wires clean and undamaged. Only thing was there was lots and lots of webs over the wires/circuit connectors etc I brushed them all off and it all looks clean now. Is it possible that webs could trigger the tamper alarm? Also, is it worth me changing out the battery and fitting a new one? Sorry for being a pain but any help is greatly appreciated.
Never flush the tape! It can clog the toilet pipes... Other than that, thank you for this tutorial! It helped me out.
Yeah all you need to do is just tear the toilet paper to release the poo and put tape in a bin.
I used to fit these for Modern Alarms in the 1980's
Modern alarms did not install these, they liked them but had their own version made, it was called the series 3000. (It had a buzzer output, +ve and -ve tamper on zones 1 & 2 , separate power supply Mounted on the bottom of the keypad and they had the keypad colours changed.)
Ah yes, you are correct. The 3000. There was another variant of it too but I can't recall much about it as it was so long ago. They were reliable panels though.

I have not found an additional piezo sounder available for this (or any) sounder. Texecom do make a twin piezo sounder.
