Yeah, I saw that video too😐 just followed his steps and guess what? Well you know what. It's Friday night and as none of my neighbours bothered to pop round to see if I was being burgled, and as I cut the battery wires🤭 I'll just wait for the battery to die😅 I struggled to climb on a chair, so the ladder just isn't happening! Thank you so much for the video, you're a gem😊🤗💜
I have a genuine question. Why would you cut/ permanently disconnect a security alarm system? Isn’t it good to have a functioning alarm system for safety reasons???!??!?
When theres no mains and backup battery inside the house the bell box outside will go off. Just wait for the bell box to stop then it wont go off again as theres no power to power it back up again. You dont need to take the battery out of the outside bellbox.
That may work but some older sounders don't have a cut off timer and assuming the battery in the sounder is still healthy (which some surprisingly are) it will sound indefinitely much longer than the legal 20 minute cut off so you risk a noise nuisance complaint and possible fine and you won't be able to stop the sounder unless you can reach it with a ladder and remove the battery.
@@nrg-5003nope you dont need to take the battery out of the external bell box when the alarm stops in 20 minutes it cant power back up as theres no mains and the panel inside the property has no battery. This works on new alarms. Done this many times.
Exactly my problem. I'm trying to decommission a burglar alarm too. I disconnected the mains, then the battery and to my surprise - the alarm went off! I had to turn the mains back on and the alarm stopped. How annoying.
I am a alarm engineer myself and I wasn't a big fan of that video a few things not mentioned and then to replace a ok wired alarm system with a pile of crap DIY alarm

@@noamaanahmad1595they are just bells only, don’t deter much anyway. Need a monitored system nowadays 😊

I can only guess you saw the same video I did 😀 (Which got it so wrong)

Was it the one with the Sterling 10 and Pyronix Belle?

Why disable a perfectly good Burglar Alarm looks like a good installation and working well
It looks like you missed the point of this video.
@@tonipeters-looks-atwhat was the point of the video ?
Show how to disconnect please
A lump hammer usually works 😂😊
Securitech!
My alarm goes off soon as I take the fuse out! 😢😢😢
It needs a new standby battery
Drill hole in external alarm. Spray in expanding foam. Jobs a good'n.
You clearly miss the point.
