There is a live edit object from the pets DLC that is basically the thing you were building is front of the graves. Also there is other stuff from that DLC that would work great there as they are from pet cemetery on the Island you built this on.
I’ve been watching the big wallet series from the beginning and I just saw the family pictures in the seasons let’s play and that made me want to see pictures of everyone from the series added somewhere so I love the idea of putting them by the gravestones. I was thinking they would make sense to be up in the wall of the restaurant by the other pictures that lady took but this makes a lot of sense.
I love what James did with this, although I personally would have placed the original Lady Bigwallet in the centre ( Maybe in the top and bottom of the B, or on either side of it ), so that she could have been surrounded by the family that she was the progenitor of 😁😁
I'm always amazed at how James mind works- this came together so awesomely. The idea to put a hill and make a B out of flowers was so clever . Using different styles of graves gave the whole place more depths and dynamics. It's great 😊
I love that the Seasons Bigwallets got the other special place, because they hold a special place in my heart. There was just something about Sebastian and Luna.
I feel like i have just completed a project, that satisfying feeling to witness the projects being completed after years. Its also great to know that i've been watching all your videos for so long though i don't comment as much 😅 May the Bigwallets rest in peace now 💟
Check out cemeteries in New Orleans, Louisiana. They have what are called "coping graves" built above ground because the majority of New Orleans is built on reclaimed swampland below sea level.
Beautiful cemetery and I love that you have a special spot for Lady and her partner the start of the whole family legacy. Love the B in the centre and all the landscaping. Really a special space to remember the wonderful Bigwallet family
A beautiful build James. I especially like the idea about using custom content for their pictures. Thats such a great idea. I think a thing i'm gonna start doing as well is like a family tree on the wall. Take photos of each Sim and add them to a family tree wall in the house. I mean its a thing to have family photos but obviously with the sims its a bit harder but you can take selfies and photos so maybe thats a decent way to do a family album. Have a family wall.
I'm thinking about building an Italian cemetery on Tartosa, the difference between Italian ones and British/American ones is that in Italy they consist of multi-rows of concrete vaults where you place the dead, which you extract after 70 years to see whether they've turned to bones or not, if they are bones, they get moved to a different area of the cemetery where they're placed in a blank vault. As a third culture kid (British born, until the age of 10, then I moved to Italy) it would be nice to incorporate a little bit more stuff from my culture, and it would also be nice bcs it would then feel like a different country instead of it feeling like just one big country. 😀 (unfortunately I'm great at decorating, but my problem is that I'm terrible at building shells, I'm definitely a cas player 😅)
This is awesome. I've been waiting for this. I'm glad to see that all the past generations of bigwallets and all future generations finally have a place where they can rest in peace.
The build looks great! I'm just surprised you didn't put any of the vampire pack statues in it cause they're like, perfect for cemeteries, I've seen very similar ones in cemeteries I've visited.
Yay finally! Please upload a video of you making the custom content for the signs/pictures. Would be cool if you added a few personal things to specific sims’ graves too
Aww this makes me wish I still had my first legacy save! The family wasn’t NEARLY as large as the Bigwallets but I think it was around five generations? Maybe six? It started with the literal first sim I made when the game was released. Anyway, this is a lovely build and I’m glad the family has somewhere nice to visit now 💕
Those slabs on graves are known as ledgers (usually inside of churches) , but in graveyards, they are typically mortsafes. Providing grave robber prevention, which incidentally allows more inscriptions for commemoration.
Glad you came back to this. I think the photo idea is great. Also suggest placing a few bouquets, wreaths and flower vases in front of a few of the headstones. But Sebastian should have orchids on his!!
It turned out great! It’s nice to see the Bigwallets have a beautiful place for their headstones to rest. The whole time you were building this I thought there needs to be an easel; a place where people can come to paint since that’s how the financial part of the Bigwallet family actually began. 💜💜💜
The "raised" graves are the most common here In Brazil, when you go to big cemiterys. they are quite expensive, so it does fit the Bigwallet (they are the most common because when you can't afford one, they put you in a draw in a big wall, with a little plaque in front)
graveyard is immaculate!!! excellent work james! hear me out though - consider elevating and angling the circular plot in the middle, the B, then You can trim around it & add some dimension that you were trying to create with all the extra flowers. Some examples of this are the landscaping that you find in Disney world, Where they take advantage of a sloped area to create a landscape flower design usually of like Mickey's face or something...
I love this idea!!! Maybe the main characters from each let’s play should be in the bigger graves so like lady bigwallet II, little bigwallet, bob bigwallet and Banana Bigwallet etc and then other family members in the smaller areas. Just a thought but I love this idea :)
I often add the candles from eco lifestyle. I made the All soul's day as a holiday in my save, have my sims visit the cemetery when it's dark and it look sso nice with the candles. I always pretend that the sims puttthem there and light them.
I look forward to your updates and further organizing of this place as time goes. I gotta say, i know they're pixels and it's s game, but it's really moving that you made this for your legacy family. We've all grown to really love the Bigwallets!
They are called "Coping Graves" and are made of a set of plaster-sealed stone, marble, or granite walls that seal off the coffin from pending water levels. Generally, coping graves remain uncovered, with the exception of gravel, and can be built to around 3 feet above the ground.
i love this so much but i wish james used more stuff from romantic garden stuff pack because they have some statue items that have the same vibe as the hedge archway he used!
YES, and maybe a nice place to put the wishing well too! 🤔😊 In case of more accidental deaths you know where to go to wish for life (or for other wishes in life) as it rarely fits in a residential lot.
I have been wanting you to do this for so long and today was the day although I was hoping would do a crypt or whatever its called which is a seperate building for the matriach and patriach but i absolutely love how you've done it especially the circle with the B. I can't wait for the custom sign and pictures
Very cool idea! I've done this sort of thing when playing with the vampires pack before, and I've found that a good way to get a nice, exact pathway is to keep the grid on and use the square terrain paintbrush, just fyi
While they do have the pets cemetery there on that island, I figured it would be best to move Stroud out of his mansion up on the hill and place the cemetery up on his property where there are all kinds of headstones around.. That is where I have already built my cemetery.
I love this!! Now because you have so much space for more graves I think so of the big wallet family tree needs a bit of tidying up since there are still sims from the eco lifestyle rags to riches and there are the three brothers which should be long gone by now especially since Chaz Bigwallet is an elder and his father is still alive.
you should look at some Israeli graveyards, here we don't have just tombstones on the ground, it's more expected that each person has a stone box thing on the ground that would have some engraved words and usually each family could ask for the groundskeeper to plant certain flowers on it or near it and even plant a tree behind it. in rural graveyards it's much more private and spaced out but for example Jerusalem's graveyards are very dense city like
I love this! If I ever do a legacy, I’ll take inspiration from this! The only thing I might change is giving lady the first her own mausoleum, since she’s the first Bigwallet to go through the family tradition of Rags to Riches. You can put Wyatt in there too, since he married her.
You and Simsie both have done graveyards, what about a mausoleum? With the lovely cubbies for urns and little trinkets from loved ones. There's one, I can't recall the name of it, with lovely stained glass ceilings!
I haven't followed your series for some time (absolutely hated the high school pack) but I wanted to see this cemetery build for soooo long!! I remember building one for my family on a 64x64 lot and it took *ages*... No wonder you were putting off building yours 😆
There are some graves with the raised concrete slab near where my parents are buried. Same row, several plots down. I don't know what they are called but it does look nice. The ones I've seen didn't have a separate marker. The information is carved into the top of the slab instead. While I don't want funerals and such in my game, I love the idea of a family cemetery. I also liked the cemetery in 3? I think it was 3. It's been too long since I played.
I like to put a grill in my cemeteries, so the family can hang out and have a lovely family moment together. I think I'll put half walls behind the tombstones with their picture. I hadn't thought about doing that.
The gate actually gave it more detail and an interesting look you should keep it. Every cemetery I've seen is always completely gated off to keep people away when they're not supposed to be there and they usually lock the gates at nights.
I think it’d be cool for each Bigwallet (or i guess just the Bigwallet’s that went on to do their own series) to have a small thing on each grave that represents the pack they played (pet/vet stuff for Katrina, a banana for Banana R, an autograph or starlight accolade for Lady II, etc)

(Because when it's angled you can still see the detail of the design they're trying to create)
I’m amazed at how you do terrain paint so easily!
The og Lady Bigwallet should have a crypt or mausoleum
I really love the big B in the middle. It fits perfectly. I would definitely download this lot.
This is absolutely beautiful! I love the B in the middle!
You make everything look so easy. love watching your builds James you put so much thought into them. x
They are called "Coping Graves" and are made of a set of plaster-sealed stone, marble, or granite walls that seal off the coffin from pending water levels. Generally, coping graves remain uncovered, with the exception of gravel, and can be built to around 3 feet above the ground.
Yay, I've been waiting for this video 😊 it looks fabulous and I'm really pleased you kept the B in the middle 👏
You could add the wishing well where the hedge arch is!! Would be some extra gameplay and makes sense on the lot!
I love my legacy cemetary, it has a little church, and a section for all the pets as well. Its probably one of my best builds tbh
i love this so much but i wish james used more stuff from romantic garden stuff pack because they have some statue items that have the same vibe as the hedge archway he used!
YES, and maybe a nice place to put the wishing well too! 🤔😊
In case of more accidental deaths you know where to go to wish for life (or for other wishes in life) as it rarely fits in a residential lot.
chippedsim made a couple of good mods for this lot, ghastly ghosts allows some sims (usually occult) to see ghosts and interact with them
You should add an easel by Lady's grave with her picture on it!
I have been wanting you to do this for so long and today was the day although I was hoping would do a crypt or whatever its called which is a seperate building for the matriach and patriach but i absolutely love how you've done it especially the circle with the B. I can't wait for the custom sign and pictures
Awesome!
Love the idea of the pictures, be great to put wreaths/flowers too, to change the look of some!
So glad you managed to do this! 🙌🏻
OH MAN - I've been waiting forever for this build. THANK YOU!
Very cool idea! I've done this sort of thing when playing with the vampires pack before, and I've found that a good way to get a nice, exact pathway is to keep the grid on and use the square terrain paintbrush, just fyi
5:29 Fun fact! Freshly decomposing bodies let out CO2 and makes the grass and flowers around it grow easier!
I love the idea of having a small picture of each of them
That looks great. It would actually make a pretty wedding venue for important Bigwallet weddings as well ... 😊
While they do have the pets cemetery there on that island, I figured it would be best to move Stroud out of his mansion up on the hill and place the cemetery up on his property where there are all kinds of headstones around.. That is where I have already built my cemetery.
Yes, me too! I made a church and graveyard on that lot 😄
But a nice idea for a (human) cemetary on this lot too.
YES! I’ve actually been weirdly excited for this video since you mentioned the idea 😂😅
James! I love your builds and how you think its soo creative and as a creative person myself i love to watch these videos.
Each grave can be made larger if you use platforms. You can stack platforms
In my country graves actually have those raised things. Every person has one or sometimes there is a family plot.
Very lovely cemetery. Happy to see it complete!
you should look at some Israeli graveyards, here we don't have just tombstones on the ground, it's more expected that each person has a stone box thing on the ground that would have some engraved words and usually each family could ask for the groundskeeper to plant certain flowers on it or near it and even plant a tree behind it. in rural graveyards it's much more private and spaced out but for example Jerusalem's graveyards are very dense city like
I love this! If I ever do a legacy, I’ll take inspiration from this! The only thing I might change is giving lady the first her own mausoleum, since she’s the first Bigwallet to go through the family tradition of Rags to Riches. You can put Wyatt in there too, since he married her.
i honestly kinda love cemetery builds 👀
I love it wish people would make more cemeteries/graveyards like these!
You and Simsie both have done graveyards, what about a mausoleum? With the lovely cubbies for urns and little trinkets from loved ones. There's one, I can't recall the name of it, with lovely stained glass ceilings!
James + Cemeteries = my faves!
Interesting combination
@@starrysterre I never thought I'd see it!
6:13 idk if it’s just my device but it seems like the video and audio cuts off for a few seconds
I love the flower B. It is awesome!
This will be amazing for bigwallet appreciation day! Loved this!
I haven't followed your series for some time (absolutely hated the high school pack) but I wanted to see this cemetery build for soooo long!! I remember building one for my family on a 64x64 lot and it took *ages*... No wonder you were putting off building yours 😆
I feel like in the (m/p)atriarch section you could do one little tomb for them both? There’s a name for that that is escaping me at the moment.
A mausoleum? 🙂
You could also have a sim take pictures of the other sims in the game and place them by their respective thombs.
(llamaboz) looks great! i think you could add an orchid - they took so long to cultivate originally and there is orchid day!
The raised graves are a nice touch
Oh I love this! It looks great and I've been waiting to see this!
at 6:11 to 6:14 i had the weridest blank spot! No talking, just quiet and it freaked me out lol Anyone else? Love this cemetery James!
