I am having problems connecting my IPod to polaris Ride command. Its connected but only plays a few songs out of thousands. The progress bar shows the songs are playing but no volume except a few songs. Do you know what the issue is? This is a known issue but no answers on how to fix this. This has to be a software glitch.
fancy gauge and all, but I'd trade 90% of the features to be able to upload the latest GPS Trailmasters data into it, and be able to use it for turn by turn directions. I was able to by a low end garmin GPS last season, and hard wire the power, upload the GPS Trailmasters maps to the SD card, and can use it on the trail, change destinations on the fly, same as any other car based GPS.
Your system is ok, here's a problem though I can see happening to me. With your system, if I plan a ride the night before and load the waypoints and head out, and half way through my trip I hit a trail that is closed, I can't change my route on the fly. I ride west central Maine, and the trails are frequently diverted do to logging operations, or angry landowners, or whatever. with my Garmin set up, I can just reroute right then and there, type in a destination, and I'll get there.
Would be a great option to add, I'd rather be able to add my own set of updated trail maps that are important to me, not just wait for an occasional update done by Polaris when you get around to it.

Can u plug your phone into it and update it, instead of the stupid memory stick way?
Kwmike-D yes. If you have the ride command app you can just sync it and it will update

How can i activate the display of ambient temps.... the sensor was there but not displaying
It'd be nice if this was offered in just a GPS version for people without Polaris sleds and/or if they'd license it to the other manufacturers to implement into their machines (with the other manufacturers engine and sled monitoring scheme).
I have a 2020 polaris northstar i cant believe you dont have dimmer adjustments for ride command, speed and tach (super bright white) and the blue buttons for power windows and light switches and the little night light blue lights at night there are so many (30 ish) and then they reflect in all the windows it's like there is 30 alien flying saucers hovering all around you. i ended up putting electrical tape on all the switches but the ride command and speed and tach are ridiculous, for a 30 thousand dollar machine that is unable to dim the dashboard lights that is BOGUS !!!! The engineers need to brush up on their skills they are lacking.
Does this happen when you switch to night screen?
Does the 7s display have out door temperature please respond. I snow checked 2021 850 vr1 129 track with 1.5 lug. Thank you

so you can not use regular gloves just the special gloves from Polaris for the touch screen?
MATT sevier that is correct. There are other gloves on the market like this that will work on the touch screen but normal gloves will not work
When are they gonna make it so I can just download GPSTRAILMASTERS trails into it? The last 5yrs of Polaris updates have been horrible! Not even trails on the map in Northern Maine, nevermind show major highways your close to! Sad they're GPS is still this far behind for the cost
Kwmike-D they have updated the trails recently. The ones I used were pretty accurate
@@Deltapowersports I know, just did lasted update, well see this weekend. But for 5yrs they're maps have been horrible in the Northeast. My buddy has been dealing with same issues in northern Vt

Kickinitnobel you can choose what you see on the gauge. Lots of options
Does the gps attempt to use the trails or is that done by waypoints? I see it shows a trail on the display like it has the course planned for you. Asking a lot but would be nice as a lot of trails like Michigan don’t change much.
Shane Drilling you use way points. You can also map out your route on computer night before and upload it for the ride.
In Michigan, I save my tracks from previous trips, by date, and then when I want to make that same trip again, load it into the display on my sled, set a color for it, and then follow that color. Even when trails change, it is always storing bread crumbs, so you can just follow your bread crumbs from the morning when on the way home in the evening.
How does the display work if the sled doesn’t have electric start. I’m guessing it won’t work if the sled isn’t running so how long does it take to boot up if you stop on the trail and will it save info like tracks and go back to music etc while making stops?
dwtodd66 the display has a small built in battery and will remember all of your tracks after being shut off, even overnight. It does take about 30 seconds to boot up

dwtodd66 this gauge is next level for sure. Very advanced and versatile
Just like for the PIDD, I'm sure Polaris will have a battery powerup kit, that can be used with a small battery to keep this 7SDD alive as long as you want, without the engine running. The PIDD only took about 2 amps of 12 volt power.
Are Track logs able to be saved off in a format for Google earth (kmz) format also for use on Garmin Basecamp ?
Steve Matscherz yes they can be saved and uploaded to other gps or apps with sd card

This 7SDD, like the PIDD, saves tracks/rides and waypoints in the .gpx format. If you drag and drop a .gpx file onto a Google Earth screen, Google Earth asks if you want it converted to .kmx (google earths preferred format) and then does it and then displays it. It is amazing to see your track displayed on Google Earth on the map, and showing average & max. speeds, elevation changes, stops along the way, travel times between one junction and another. AMAZING.

@@Deltapowersports khaos slash 155 2.75 lug q2 850 non turbo low elevation manual start, is what I'm planning on snowchecking.... In a recent live video from Chris burandt, he mention that the matrix is 4 lbs heavier cause of the Batt for the display...is that for the eltric start models? Or do u get a Batt for the 7s display even with the manual start non turbo models,
