- First video of my Intex Mariner 4 set-up for fishing. This was taken at Marsh Creek State Park in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. I mistakenly said "National Park" in the video. Comments/questions welcome. Enjoy.

Love your set up. Wwe just got ours and can't wait to start tweaking it.
Thanks. Was a great first boat
You might consider moving the rod holders to the side of the milk grate. That way you have the freedom of placement.
Well done!
very nice boat
Nice to both
amazing!!
Looks awesome. What is the length of the vinyl siding piece you used. CT used 8 numbers and a sticker as well. Thanks! Did you drill holes to fit the carabiners on it?
I don’t remember length. It’s just vinyl siding. And yes drilled holes for carabiners.
awesome. dig the seat. why register it tho? its under 15 feet or whatever. never registered mine. 🍻
Thx. In PA, you must register any boat that is powered.
Same in California, I’ve owned my boat for over 10 years, but I finally put a motor on it so now I had to register it
Nice setup! Hey- how thick was the plywood you used?
1/2” pressure trwated
This thing is awesome man. Where did you get the seat from??
Joe's Travels thanks. I ordered the seat on Amazon. But rigged it myself. See this video. ua-cam.com/video/VryOjU9mFOI/v-deo.html
Have you thought about using waterproof lettering for your tag number? And have you thought about making a walk through tutorial on your mods?
How did you do the seat

Did you put your wood floor over the included floor?
Matthew Winne yes
What did you use for the registration stickers/where'd you buy?
J Hoss stencil stickers. Got at Staples.
nice clean setup! how did you mount those rod holders on the side?
Jiggy C. Thanks. For rod holder just used simple zip tie to one of the plastic loop holes on the boat.
yosdad228 nice I was thinking that work but I think I would rather install it on the back of my chair so that it's not in the way.. I have the same chair as u do and was thinking of maybe using some velco straps to strap it around.. what do u think?
Jiggy C. Interesting idea. If you're the only passenger in the boat, behind seat might work. For me, it's usually me and two boys and the space behind my seat is all I have to control the motor. Also easier for my sons to reach from middle of the boat.
yosdad228 yeah I'm thinking more of holding my poles and a net inside those holders. With a swivel chair your rods and the holder will be out of your way when you turn to steer the boat. I'll let u know of I end up doing it.
What battery did you go with and are you happy with it? Fed ex is dropping my mariner off today and my project of building it up begins....
AlphaKilo6 I got Cabelas deep cycle marine battery. It's been very reliable and works well. When not on the boat, I keep it hooked up to a trickle charger.
How did you get your boat registered
Fishing and camping channel I live in PA. Just did application with PA Fish & Boat Commission. It’s valid for 2 years. Must register since it has a motor.
yosdad228 Ok Thank you
with the seat and battery in the very back, do you then need to counterbalance with weight in the front of the boat?
DARIN BURT not really. Especially if one or both my sons are riding with me. Thanks for the question.
How many time the battery
I got the same boat for Xmas for my son, live in PA near Marsh Creek too. I'm having a hard time getting it registered. PA Fish and Boat denied me due to the cert of origin not being correct. What did you do to get a registration? Thanks.
CHIEF STILLY that’s odd. Did you provide them with the registration number on the boat itself? Sort of like a VIN #.
@@willfarkouh yes. Hull number, proof of purchase from Amazon and the printed cert of origin from intex website.
CHIEF STILLY sorry man. I don’t know what else to tell you. I do remember calling and talking to someone when I had questions. They were helpful. Good luck
@@willfarkouh ok. Thanks buddy.
My question.
Do I need licence for raft boat. I'm living in New York
christ buck you’ll need to check with your state boating commission. In PA, we must be registered only if boat is powered.
Only if you have a motor wether it be a trolling or regular 2.3HP. It also needs to be registered with DMV
LOL, license plate is bigger then on cars... what a stupid regulations
Janez Novak I know. Not my choice. PA is very specific on size of letters and spacing. Since this video was shot, I've trimmed the vinyl a bit because it has been creating some drag in the water. Of all the mods, I've spent more time perfecting the stupid plate thann anything else!! Thanks for comment.
