Katie you are a treasure and Mia is so lucky to have you as a mom 💕 Taking an older, previously clipped bird and teaching free flight is a completely different journey than a young fledging. I can't wait to see more with you and Mia this year (2020!!). The 2 of you are going to continue rocking it!
This describes my IRN almost to a T. Someday when he's better and not so skittish around hands and can be handled more, this is my goal, too. I know for a smaller bird, there's a bit more challenge for safety, but seeing your gorgeous Sun triplets flying around means we will get there someday. Thank you SO much for this video! Mia is a beautiful girl and so is her human. :)
CONGRATULATIONS Katie and Mia!! 👍🙌 So awesome to watch. It will never get old watching birds get to do what they're designed to do. Gives me goosebumps. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I think I remember these two, and it's great to see so much progress. Nice to see Jinx and Morgan helping to encourage Mia. There isn't anything better than to see these lovely birds in flight, and to know the excitement they must be feeling. Thank you for the upload!
Thank you Jaime and Dave for making the lives of these birds worth living again! For too many years these beautiful creatures have had their wings cut and their lives were nothing but bad habits and even worse diets. Now you are training humans in how to give captive birds a new lease on life. Hopefully a new generation of bird companions will grow up being able to free fly and eating actual diets of fruits and veg. No longer being "cuddled" into sexual frustration leading to years of terrible habits completely born out of sexual frustration brought on by ignorant companions.
I absolutely love this. I live in Australia and have been searching for trainer like you to coach me and my ecelctus. Absolutely proud of Mia and your guys work! What a way to start 2020 🔥
Hi, JamieLeigh! It was so wonderful to see the progress of Mia over 3 months! Thank you for doing such a wonderful job with free flight training of birds! Thank you Dave too! Mia looks so much healthier 3 months later. She just might have been molting at the beginning of the training. It's so much fun to see Mia enjoying the company of your birds :))) Beenie and I love to watch your videos!!! Love, big hugs, birdie kisses. Barb, Beenie, Baby spirit :)))
This was amazing to see and just beautiful. Hanging in there is so worth it, l have 3 birds though smaller breeds Indian ringneck, Cockateil and yesterday after many months l bit the bullet with my Lorikeet who has done nothing but bite me, he was a rescue to me so l have no idea of his life before other then he was never out of his cage and his owner couldnt get near him. When l open his cage he really bites, while l get is food bowl and water and l mean bite me, draw blood etc so l just put my hand in to tell him to step up l took a few bites but he finally jumped on my hand and there was no looking back. On my shoulder, playing with all l have set up for the birds to play with and had an amazing time. Even when time to go home he was not happy and squawked and wanted to bite me hard but he didnt and he happily went home. Woo Hoo. Now to start training him alittle soon but for now it is just bonding time.
She did perfect just could not physically get all the way back that should be a celebrated moment. That means all she needs is more time and muscle. WOO HOO!
Glad to see a sneak peek at Morgan there too! Love that macaw, such a sweetheart. I've been wondering whether she continued her training with Patty, glad to see she is still flying :). Mia is adorable too, this really motivates me to work hard so I can afford to give my Goffin the gift of flight someday, with the help of Birdtricks of course. 🕊🦜💕😇
Happy New Year Bird Tricks family! Love the video and am so proud of Katie and Mia’s accomplishments!!! Can’t wait for that to be me soon. Hope 2020 is everyone’s best year yet!
Good job Katie and Mia!!! I love Macaws! I've been researching them for a little over 2 years and feel like I'm almost ready to own one. My last step before actually deciding to own one is to volunteer at a rescue ( there's one about an hour from where I live). Who knows I might connect with one there and go ahead and choose to adopt it. I do know that if and when I decide to bring one into my own it will be from a rescue.
Excitedly awaiting a lovebird video! I’m in college and have wanted a bird for quite some time, but I want to make sure I’m in the best place to have one. I’m thinking of getting a lovebird first and would really like to see one on your channel
Do you guy's offer a BirdTricks calendar? I don't have any birds of my own, but I would purchase a calendar with shots of those lovely parrots in flight!
We had tried it out, and they didn't sell and they cost a lot to make in super high quality in small amounts to test it so we have felt like it hasn't been worth to try again... sorry!
You can train more than one, however we really prefer to focus on one bird and allow you to train your others using the knowledge you gain from taking the course once with one bird.
My conure is clipped maybe I'll teach him to free flight, although I wouldn't want him free flying by himself, I live in Australia and we have more than just a few aerial predators

So beautiful to watch the Macaws in flight as they should be! How majestic!🦜
Her confidence progression is amazing
We all need the courage to spread our wings and fly free.
You go, MIA!

OMG Katie brought me to tears talking about how amazing Dave & Jamie are!😍🙏😍
I love what Katie said about letting Mia do what she was designed to do, so true.

Boy o boy.....clipping birds really does not do them many real favors, does it? ❤Go Mia!

That's not Mia, Mia is from London and lives with Mikey the McCaw, mommy-human, and daddy-human...
Mia loves mommy-human so much!
Lol
Very cool
I didn't even notice this was posted today :)
Happy New Year!
Birdtricks are the best❤️💚💙💜
Thanks, Erica!

Wow! You guys are awesome!! Wish you guys could help me w my babies!!
Really Great !!! jh
so inspirational! Which pellets would you recommend for Parrot owners outside of the USA, Thank you
Olivia Bailey I think there is a brand called Tops that is similar to the birdtricks pellets, but I'd do research to double check!
@@annapettit8045 Thank you
Do you guys coach like this for cockatiels too or just larger parrots?
I nearly lost my 14 week old baby boy “Tickford” today. I need help in NSW Australia
I’m just wondering where do you get a macaw? Do u get them at rescues or bird sanctuaries?
Would it be possible to train multiple birds for free flight at the same time with your course? Or does it really depend on intense focus on one?
You can train more than one, however we really prefer to focus on one bird and allow you to train your others using the knowledge you gain from taking the course once with one bird.
My conure is clipped maybe I'll teach him to free flight, although I wouldn't want him free flying by himself, I live in Australia and we have more than just a few aerial predators
wish yous could come to England help me with my macaw
:)
