Had 2 PCX's 2017 and 2019. This bike is' street's ahead apart from helmet space. Handles better, more frontal area gives better protection, leg room, superb instrument cluster. 15 hp, Ok no abs, but I am a fan of combined brakes on scooters. With Honda recent price hike, the Aprilia is just £105 more. Just did a 173 mile ride with pals on bigger bikes, on A & B it was spot on
@@simracing-yordy86 Well regrettably I don't think many if any full face helmets will fit under the seat, I have a flip front and and a shark standard full face, neither will fit. I also have an open face and of course that does fit. I may decide to get a shad mounting rack as I do have a top box
I have just got a 2017 Pcx 125,and I love it got it at a good price, once its paid off, I will definitely be buying a new one in 2025 if still being made, if not then I will look for something similar.
Thank you for this Video! 👍 I will buy the „200“ and sell my medley 150. I enjoy riding this little scooters even more than big bikes. Just because it is practical and relaxed driving.
Really good review. I've watched it a couple of times. I just bought an SR GT 125 Sport yesterday, and can't wait to get out on the roads. Mine gets delivered Friday. In the flesh it was such a nice looking little bike, really good stuff. I'm so hyped for mine. I'm going from my old tuned 2 stroke scooter to this, do I know I'm losing a load of power, but seems worth it to me to have a really nice looking and handling modern scooter.
Just bought a 125 and driving on a cbt really don't need anything more powerful, such a great fun scooter, have a Vespa Primavera for the Scooter club which is more expensive, but honestly this scoot as a daily commute is a cracker 👌😎 highly recommend
hi there, recently bought one here in Indonesia for my daily commuting scooter. the ride quality is far superior compared to its japanese rivals, espacially those rear suspensions! also, the only version on sale in Indonesia is the 175cc which has 17.7 hp and 16.5 nm. the engine is responsive. fuel cons is also good, i got an average of 40 km/l for city usage and 43-45 km/l for intercity usage. lastly, it looks awesome! love the sporty looks that has the current Aprilia design language from its bigger brothers.
Great looking scooter. If we could get more people out of their cars and onto bikes like this, it might stop the climate wingers from trying to force into/onto electric vehicles. And, they’d be a lot happier.
In SE Asia the 200 is $1500 more than a Honda ADV150. It has 3hp more but the ADV has more features and aftermarket support. I like the look of it but can't justify the price.
The reason why they do 200 is, because it's made by Italians. Be able to ride it on highway in Italy law you must have 150+ cubature. I am from Czechia and our law says that you must be able to cross 80 kilometres per hour, then you can ride on highway. No matter the cubature. So it's law reason.
Best I’ve had is 80mph on the speedo which is 73mph on gps Cruises fine at indicated 65mph which is 60mph gps. (I’m 70kg and carry about 20kg of camping gear)
Do you have ABS warning light blinking when on idle (and not moving)? Is that normal behaviour or it signals that something is not quite alright with the ABS?
If the 200 was not a 174, but a proper 250 (what happened with these, btw? nobody seems to make them anymore) with 25 hp, that would be a killer scoot!
The 125 engine. Is a piaggio medley motor. Its great. I've put 2500miles on mine already. Zero issues. Great for the weekly shop too. Only £8 to fill up too. 👍 I've got the red raceway. Also the standard version comes with a smoked screen. Aswell as the sport. Its alot better than my 2021 pcx and 2021 nmax. I've sold the honda due to the keyless system being problematic. And paint peeling off. Aswell as the chrome peeling. Honda have definitely lost their touch. My sr gt will literally leave the nmax in its dust. Its capable of 70mph. Although that's due to change due to fitting a malossi variator, 11 gram rollers and malossi delta clutch. 👍
Nice video. This is one of the better reviews (although I think that's limiting the essay you've provided) I've watched (across industries). I enjoyed all the tangential material you included. That really rounded out the presentation. Thank you. First off, scooters are motorcycles. That out of the way, this is an intriguing vehicle. I especially find it interesting that this bike was released under the Aprilia brand over Piaggio. I primarily ride classic standards, but regret having sold my Piaggio BV500. Granted, every now and then I regret having sold every bike I've owned. Such is life! I tend to buy, repair, restore, enjoy, and sell. It's a nice self-funding hobby.
sorry, but NO scooter handle like motorbike (couse front end is too light) unless it have engine in the middle and chain or belt to rear wheel. Thats very rude statement.
My XMAX 300, still looks alot cooler, especially the rear. Also, 125 to "carve " the corners? Yeah right. I've had Nmax 125 and it was only adequate. XMAX300 is another story, I call it my shopping trolley. And unlike this joke that can't even fit 1 full size helmet, XMax does have a proper storage under the seat, so much so I never bothered adding the top box. And another thing, I like Aprilia as a brand but nothing matches Yamaha's reliability.
My gn125 got the pegs down in the corners. Granted I also got the handlebars, exhaust and helmet done as well, but it was still a great bike to carve corners with. 🤣
@@googleprofile6660 It's subjective though, hah. I love the BV400 for its bigger wheels (stability) and the extra power (26kW vs 20 kW), but the X-max 300 has the longer range, bigger underseat storage and a somewhat adjustable flyscreen. For me, this SR GT is pretty neat but the lack of underseat storage and smaller wheels mean I'd prefer the Medley. Same engine, same performance, less style but more substance. I just wish Aprilia would bring back the SRV 850, or a 650 at least. The only full license automatics are Honda's now, and they lack a bit of character.
Thats just your opinion tho the srgt 125 is a great scooter, a lot faster than the xmax 125 fits my shark open face in fine. Wud love a try of ur xmax 300 tho am not one for proper bikes just think scooters are more practical. Wot do u get out of ur 300?
The suspension was one of the main reasons I swapped my pcx for this. The pcx suspension has supposed to be improved with each model update. In truth it's very harsh and crashy. The Aprilia has decent quality front and rear longer travel and actually made by Showa. Its much much better
I drove 500 km and then sell it. Suspension sucks big time. Just like any other scooter! Engine is part of rear fork and every bumb just shater the hole scooter.

125c.c. delivers 14hp while 174c.c. delivering 17.4 hp, then it seems quite impossible for 250 c.c. to deliver 25 hp..
They moved up to 300-350cc for euro 5. And yeah they produce 25-35 hp. So aprilia, maybe make a sr400 with piaggios new 400cc engine

Aprilia: We decided against dual ABS for this scooter. Translation: We don't care about your safety.
